أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ الْعَطَّارُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ بَعْضَ النَّاسِ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ شَأْنِ الْعَزْلِ ، وَذَلِكَ فِي غَزْوَةِ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ ، وَكَانُوا أَصَابُوا سَبَايَا ، وَكَرِهُوا أَنْ يَلِدْنَ مِنْهُمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لا تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدَّرَ مَا هُوَ خَالِقٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about 'azl (withdrawal): This was during the expedition of Banu Mustaliq. Those people had obtained some captives, and they disliked that the women among the captives would bear their children. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you do not do so, there is no harm in it, because Allah Almighty has already decreed in destiny until the Day of Resurrection whom He will create.
