Hadith 278
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اسْتَقِيمُوا وَلَنْ تُحْصُوا ، وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ أَعْمَالِكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَلَا يُحَافِظُ عَلَى الْوُضُوءِ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Adhere to righteousness even though you will not be able to do all acts of virtue. Know that among the best of your deeds is prayer and that no one maintains his ablution except a believer.'"
Hadith 703
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : " جَدَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ " ، قَال ابْنُ مَاجَهْ : يَعْنِى : زَجَرَنَا عَنْهُ نَهَانَا عَنْهُ .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "The Messenger of Allah rebuked us for staying up (talking) after the 'Isha'."
Hadith 1033
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ غَالِبٍ الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ ، فَإِذَا لَمْ يَقْدِرْ أَحَدُنَا أَنْ يُمَكِّنَ جَبْهَتَهُ ، بَسَطَ ثَوْبَهُ فَسَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ ".
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` “We used to perform prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) when it was very hot. When one of us could not place his forehead firmly on the ground, he would spread his garment and prostrate on it.”
Hadith 1432
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلْزِمْ نَعْلَيْكَ قَدَمَيْكَ ، فَإِنْ خَلَعْتَهُمَا فَاجْعَلْهُمَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْكَ ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهُمَا عَنْ يَمِينِكَ ، وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِ صَاحِبِكَ ، وَلَا وَرَاءَكَ ، فَتُؤْذِيَ مَنْ خَلْفَكَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Keep your shoes on your feet. If you take them off then place them between your two feet; do not place them to your right, or to the right of your companions, or behind you, for they may annoy whoever is behind you.’”
Hadith 2068
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا وَجَدَ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا فَقَتَلَهُ قَتَلْتُمُوهُ ، وَإِنْ تَكَلَّمَ جَلَدْتُمُوهُ ، وَاللَّهِ لَأَذْكُرَنَّ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ آيَاتِ اللِّعَانِ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ الرَّجُلُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَقْذِفُ امْرَأَتَهُ ، فَلَاعَنَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَقَالَ : " عَسَى أَنْ تَجِيءَ بِهِ أَسْوَدَ فَجَاءَتْ بِهِ أَسْوَدَ جَعْدًا " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "We were in the mosque one Friday night when a man said: 'If a man finds a man with his wife and kills him, will you kill him, and if he speaks,will you flog him. By Allah I will mention that to the Prophet (ﷺ). So he mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ), and Allah revealed the Verses of Li'an. Then after that the man came and accused his wife, so the Prophet (ﷺ) told them to go through the procedure of Li'an and he said: 'Perhaps she will give birth to a black child.’ Then she gave birth to a black child with curly hair."
Hadith 2137
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ مَا أَكَلَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ ، وَإِنَّ وَلَدَهُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` 'The best (most pure) food a man consumes is that which he has earned himself, and his child (and his child's wealth) is part of his earnings."
Hadith 2180
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الشَّهِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْبُيُوعِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade. meeting the owners of goods (away from the market)."
Hadith 2262
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ الْحِمَّانِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، أَوْ سِمَاكٌ ، وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا سِمَاكًا ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ فَكُنْتُ آخُذُ الذَّهَبَ مِنَ الْفِضَّةِ وَالْفِضَّةَ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ ، وَالدَّنَانِيرَ مِنَ الدَّرَاهِمِ وَالدَّرَاهِمَ مِنَ الدَّنَانِيرِ ، فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا أَخَذْتَ أَحَدَهُمَا وَأَعْطَيْتَ الْآخَرَ ، فَلَا تُفَارِقْ صَاحِبَكَ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ لَبْسٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "I used to sell camels, and I used to buy gold for silver and silver for gold, Dinar for Dirham and Dirham for Dinar. I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about that, and he said: 'If you take one of them and give the other, then you and your companion should not separate until everything is clear (i.e., the exchange is completed).’” (Hasan) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 4154
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ , وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ , عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ , عَنْ عَامِرٍ , عَنْ الْحَارِثِ , عَنْ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : " أُهْدِيَتِ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيَّ , فَمَا كَانَ فِرَاشُنَا , لَيْلَةَ أُهْدِيَتْ , إِلَّا مَسْكَ كَبْشٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “The daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was permitted to me as a bride, and our bed on the night when she was presented to me, was no more than the hide of a ram.”
Hadith 4254
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ , حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ , سَمِعْتُ أَبِي , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ , أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ مِنَ امْرَأَةٍ قُبْلَةً , فَجَعَلَ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ كَفَّارَتِهَا , فَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَهُ شَيْئًا , فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ سورة هود آية 114 , فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَلِي هَذِهِ , فَقَالَ : " هِيَ لِمَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي " .
´It was narrated from Ibn Mas’ud that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said that he had kissed a woman, and he started to ask about expiation, but he (the Prophet (ﷺ)) did not say anything to him. Then Allah revealed the Verse:` “And perform prayers at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night. Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful.” [11:114] The man said: “O Messenger of Allah, is this (the Verse) just for me?” He said: “It is for whoever acts upon it among my nation.”
Hadith 4309
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَهْلُهَا , فأنهم لا يَمُوتُونَ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَوْنَ , وَلَكِنْ نَاسٌ أَصَابَتْهُمْ نَارٌ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ أَوْ بِخَطَايَاهُمْ , فَأَمَاتَتْهُمْ إِمَاتَةً حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا فَحْمًا , أُذِنَ لَهُمْ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ , فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ ضَبَائِرَ ضَبَائِرَ , فَبُثُّوا عَلَى أَنْهَارِ الْجَنَّةِ , فَقِيلَ : يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ , أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَنْبُتُونَ نَبَاتَ الْحِبَّةِ , تَكُونُ فِي حَمِيلِ السَّيْلِ " , قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : كَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَانَ فِي الْبَادِيَةِ .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “As for the people of Hell, who are its people (i.e., its permanent residents), they will neither die nor live therein. But there are some people who will be punished with fire because of their sins, whom it will kill, then when they have become like coal, permission will be granted for intercession for them. They will be brought, group by group, and scattered on the banks of the rivers of Paradise. It will be said: ‘O people of Paradise, pour water on them.’ Then they will grow like seeds carried by a flood (i.e., quickly).” A man among the people said: It is as if the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has been in the desert.”
