Hadith 1582

Hadith 1615
Ibn 'Abbas (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Give the shares to those who are entitled to them, and what is left from those who are entitled to it goes to the nearest male heir.
Hadith 1620
Zaid bin Aslam reported on the authority of his father that 'Umar (RA) donated a horse in the path of Allah. He found that it had languished in the hand of its possessor, and he was a man of meagre resources He (Hadrat 'Umar) intended to buy it. He came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and made a mention of that to him, whereupon he said: Don't buy that even if you get it for a dirham for he who gets back the charity is like a dog which swallows its vomit.

Hadith 1671

عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ قَعَدَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ وَأَخَذَ إِنْسَانٌ بِخِطَامِهِ ، فَقَالَ " أَتَدْرُونَ أَيَّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا ؟ ، قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ سِوَى اسْمِهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَيْسَ بِيَوْمِ النَّحْرِ ؟ ، قُلْنَا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا ؟ ، قُلْنَا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : أَلَيْسَ بِذِي الْحِجَّةِ ؟ ، قُلْنَا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا ؟ ، قُلْنَا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ سِوَى اسْمِهِ ، قَالَ : أَلَيْسَ بِالْبَلْدَةِ ؟ ، قُلْنَا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ ، وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ ، وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا ، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا ، فَلْيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ انْكَفَأَ إِلَى كَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ فَذَبَحَهُمَا ، وَإِلَى جُزَيْعَةٍ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ ، فَقَسَمَهَا بَيْنَنَا ،
Abu Bakra (RA) reported that when it was that day (the 10th of Dhu'l-Hijja) he mounted his camel and a person caught its nosestring, whereupon he said: Do you know which day is this? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) [may peace be upon him] kept silent until we thought that he would give that another name. He said: Is it not the day of Nahr (Sacrifice) (10th of Dhu'l- Hijja)? We said: Allah's Messenger, yes. He (again) said: Which month is it? We said: Allah and His Messenger knows best. He said: Is it not Dhu'l-Hijja? We said: Allah's Messenger, yes. He said: Which city is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (the narrator) said (that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) kept silent until we thought that he would give it another name besides its (original) name. He said: Is it not Balda (the city of Makkah)? We said: Yes, Allah's Messenger. He (then) said: Verily your blood (lives) and your property and your honour are as sacred unto you as sacred is this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this city of yours. Let him who is present convey it to one who is absent. He then turned his attention towards two multicoloured (black and white) rams and slaughtered them, and two goats, and distributed them amongst us.
Hadith 1694
حَدَّثَنِي
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
دَاوُدُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَ مَعْنَاهُ ، وَقَالَ : فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْعَشِيِّ : فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَال : " أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَمَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ إِذَا غَزَوْنَا يَتَخَلَّفُ أَحَدُهُمْ عَنَّا ، لَهُ نَبِيبٌ كَنَبِيبِ التَّيْسِ " وَلَمْ يَقُلْ فِي عِيَالِنَا ،
Dawud narrated the hadith with the same chain of transmitters (and the words are): Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) stood up (to address the audience) in the evening and praised Allah, glorified Him and then said: What about the people, that as we set out on an expedition, one of you remained behind us and he shrieked like the bleating of a male goat? But he did not mention (these words): "People connected with us."
Hadith 1707
Ali reported: If I impose Hadd on anyone, and he (in course of punishment) dies, I would not mind except in case of a drunkard. If he dies, I would pay indemnity for him because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has laid down no rule for it.

Hadith 1821
It has been reported on the authority of Jabir bin ahadeeth who said: I went with my father to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peeace be upon him) and I heard him say: This religion would continue to remain powerful and dominant until there have been twelve Caliphs. Then he added something which I couldn't catch on account of the noise of the people. I asked my father: What did he say? My father said: He has said that all of them will be from the Quraish.
Hadith 142
It has been narrated through a different chain of transmitters on the authority of Hasan who said: Ibn, Ziyad paid a visit to Ma'qil bin Yasir who was seriously ill. Here follows the same tradition as has gone before with the addition that Ibn Ziyad asked: Why didn't you narrate this tradition to me before this day? Ma'qil reprimanded him and said: I did not narrate it to you or I was not going to narrate it to you.
Hadith 1858
It has been narrated on the authority of Ma'qil bin Yasar who aaid: I remember being present on the Day of the Tree, and the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) was taking the oath of the people and I was holding a twig of the tree over his head. We were fourteen hundred (in number). We did not take oath to the death, but to the effect that we would not run away from the battlefield.
Hadith 1872
It has been narrated on the authority of Jarir bin'Abdullah who said: I saw that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was twisting the forelock of a horse with his fingers and he was saying: (A great) benefit. i. e. reward (for rearing them for Jihad) and spoils of war, has been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Judgment.
Hadith 1895
The above tradition has been narrated on the authority of Khalid al- Juhani who said: The Prophet (ﷺ) of Allah (ﷺ) said: He who equips a warrior in the way of Allah (is like one who dctually fights) aud he who looks after the family of a warrior in the way of Allah in fact participated in the battle.
Hadith 1940
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: When it was the Day of Khaibar a visitor came and said: Messenger of Allah, the asses have been eaten. Then another came and said: Messenger of Allah, the asses are being destroyed. Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) commanded Abu Talha to make an announcement that Allah and His Messenger have prohibited you (from eating) of the flesh of (domestic) asses, for these are loathsome or impure. He (the narrator) said: The earthen pots were turned over along with what was in them.
Hadith 1987
Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) prohibited that fresh dates and grapes be mixed together and that fresh dates and unripe dates be mixed together.
Hadith 1996
Abu Sa'id reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch).
Hadith 2120
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Umar bin Nafi' with the same chain of transmitters and Muhammad bin Muthanna as well as 'Umar bin Nafi have given the same exposition (of the word Qaza') in their narration.
Hadith 2133
This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn Uyaina, but there is no mention of this: "We will not allow you to cool your eyes."

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Shu'bah and there is no mention but of the fact about giving the name to the servant and there is no mention of the four expressions (of remembrance) and he did not mention the four words
Hadith 2159
Jarir bin 'Abdullah reported: I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the sudden glance (that is cast) on the face (of a non-Mahram). He commanded me that I should turn away my eyes.
Hadith 2323
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Umm Sulaim was with the wives of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and a camel-driver had been driving (the camels) oil which they were riding. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Anjasha, drive slowly, for you are carrying (on the camels) vessels of glass.
Hadith 2353

ابْنُ مِنْهَالٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ
عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : " سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ
عَبَّاسٍ ، كَمْ أَتَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ مَاتَ ؟ فَقَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ أَحْسِبُ مِثْلَكَ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ ذَاكَ ، قَالَ ، قُلْتُ : إِنِّي قَدْ سَأَلْتُ النَّاسَ ، فَاخْتَلَفُوا عَلَيَّ ، فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَعْلَمَ قَوْلَكَ فِيهِ ، قَالَ : أَتَحْسُبُ ؟ قَالَ ، قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَمْسِكْ أَرْبَعِينَ بُعِثَ لَهَا خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ بِمَكَّةَ ، يَأْمَنُ ، وَيَخَافُ ، وَعَشْرَ مِنْ مُهَاجَرِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ " .
'Ammar, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, reported: I asked Ibn 'Abbas how old was he when death overtook the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . He said: I little know that such a thing is not known to a man like you who belong to his people. He said: I asked people about it but they differed with me, and I liked to know your opinion about it. He said: Do you know counting? He said: Yes. He then said: Bear this in mind very well that he was commissioned (as a Prophet) at the age of forty, and he stayed in Makkah for fifteen years; sometime in peace and sometime in dread, and (lived) for ten years after his migration to Madinah.
Hadith 339

يَحْيَي بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا
أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام رَجُلًا حَيِيًّا ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ لَا يُرَى مُتَجَرِّدًا ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ : إِنَّهُ آدَرُ ، قَالَ : فَاغْتَسَلَ عِنْدَ مُوَيْهٍ ، فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ ، فَانْطَلَقَ الْحَجَرُ يَسْعَى ، وَاتَّبَعَهُ بِعَصَاهُ يَضْرِبُهُ ، ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ، ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ، حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى مَلَإٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، وَنَزَلَت : يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا سورة الأحزاب آية 69 " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Moses (ؑ) was a modest person. He was never seen naked and Banu Isra'il said: (He was afraid to expose his private part) because he had been suffering from scrotal hernia. He (one day) took bath in water and placed his garments upon a stone. The stone began to move on quickly. He followed that and struck it with the help of a stone (saying): O stone, my garment; O stone, my garments, O stone; until it stopped near the big gathering of Israi'l, and this verse was revealed (pertaining to the incident): "O you who believe, be not like those who maligned Moses (ؑ), but Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was worthy of regard with Allah" (xxxiii. 69).
Hadith 2558
This hadith has been narrated through another chain of transmitters and the hadith transmitted on the authority of Abdul Razziq (the words are):" Neither nurse grudge nor sever (the ties of kinship), nor nurse enemity."
Hadith 2568
Thauban reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: Verily, when a Muslim visits his brother in Islam he is supposed to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise until he returns.
Hadith 2575
Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) visited Umm Sa'ib or Umm Musayyib and said: Umm Sa'ib or Umm Musayyib. why is it that you are shivering? She said:" It is fever and may it not be blessed by Allah, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Don't curse fever for it expiates the sir of the posterity of Adam ؑؑjust as furnace removes the alloy of iron.
Hadith 2590
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: The servant (whose fault) Allah conceals in this world, Allah would also conceal (his faults) on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 2596
Abu Burza al-Aslami reported that a slave-girl was riding a dromedary and there was also the luggage of people upon it that she suddenly saw Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) . The way of the mountain was narrow and she said (to that dromedary): Go ahead (but that dromedary did not move). She (that slave-girl), out of anger, said: O Allah, let that (dromedary) be damned. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Let the dromedary on which the curse has been invoked not proceed with us.

Hadith 2625
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Gabriel (ؑ) impressed upon me (the kind treatment) towards the neighbour (so much) that I thought as if he would soon confer upon him the (right) of inheritance.

Hadith 2676
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was travelling along the path leading to Makkah that he happened to pass by a mountain called Jumdan. He said: Proceed on, it is Jumdan, Mufarradun have gone ahead. They (the Companions of the Holy Prophet) said: Allah's Messenger, who are Mufarradun? He said: They are those males and females who remember Allah much.
Hadith 2704

أَبِي مُوسَى ، أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُمْ يَصْعَدُونَ فِي ثَنِيَّةٍ ، قَالَ : فَجَعَلَ رَجُلٌ كُلَّمَا عَلَا ثَنِيَّةً نَادَى لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّكُمْ لَا تُنَادُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلَا غَائِبًا " ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا مُوسَى أَوْ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ مِنْ كَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : مَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ " ،
Abu Musa reported that he (and his other companions) were climbing upon the hillock along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and when any person climbed up, he pronounced (loudly): "There is no god but Allah, Allah is the Greatest." Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Verily, you are not supplicating One Who is deaf or absent. He said: Abu Musa or 'Abdullah b Qais, should I not direct you to the words (which form) the treasure of Paradise? I said: Allah's Messenger, what are these? He said: "There is no might and no power but that of Allah."
Hadith 2706
Anas reported from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (this suppli- cation) but with this variation that these words are not found in that supplication:" From the trial of life and death."
Hadith 2728
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Fatima came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and asked for a servant and told him of the hardship of household work. He said: You would not be able to get a servant from us. May I not direct you to what is better than the servant for you? Recite Subhaana Allah thirty-three times, al- Hamdu li-Allah thirty-three times and Allah-o-Akbar thirty-four times as you go to bed.
Hadith 2736
Usama bin Zaid reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I stood at the door of Paradise and I found that the overwhelming majority of those who entered therein was that of poor persons and the wealthy persons were detained to get into that. The denizens of Hell were commanded to get into Hell, and I stood upon the door of Fire and the majority amongst them who entered there were women.
Hadith 2763
'Abdullah bin Mas'ud reported that a person kissed a woman and he came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and made a mention of that to him. It was (on this occasion) that this verse was revealed: "And observe prayer at the (two) ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. Surely, good deeds take away evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful" (xi. 115). That person said: Allah's Messenger, does it concern me only? He (the Holy Prophet) said: It concerns every one of my Ummah, who acts according to it.
Hadith 2870
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: When the dead body. is placed in the grave, he listens to the sound of the shoes (as his friends and relatives return after burying him).
