Hadith 4212
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَحْنُ تِسْعَةٌ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ ، مَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي ، وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ ، وَلَيْسَ بِوَارِدٍ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَهُوَ مِنِّي ، وَأَنَا مِنْهُ ، وَهُوَ وَارِدٌ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ " .
´It was narrated that Kab bin Ujrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah came out to us, and there were nine of us. He said; 'After me there will be rulers, whoever believes in their lies and helps them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and he will not come to me at the Cistern. Whoever does not believe their lies and does not help them in their wrongdoing, he is of me, and I am of hi, and he will come to me at the Cistern."'
Hadith 4223
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ ، وَعَنَ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ ، لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا " .
´It was narrated from Umma Kurz that the Messenger of Allah said:` "For a boy, two sheep, and or a girl, one sheep, and it does not matter if they are male or female
Hadith 4258
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Al-Malih, from his father, that:` the Prophet forbade (the use of) the hides of Predators. (Hassan)
Hadith 4267
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَمْقُلْهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that the Prophet said:` "If a fly falls into the vessel of one of you, let him dip it in,"
Hadith 4274
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْكَلْبِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كَلْبَكَ فَسَمَّيْتَ فَكُلْ ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ كَلْبًا آخَرَ مَعَ كَلْبِكَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ ، فَإِنَّمَا سَمَّيْتَ عَلَى كَلْبِكَ ، وَلَمْ تُسَمِّ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Adiyy bin Hatim said:` "I asked the Messenger of Allah about dogs and he said: 'If you release your dog and say the name of Allah, then eat, but if you find another dog with your dog then do not eat, for you only said the name of Allah over your dog, not any other.""
Hadith 4286
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَليِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُجَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْمَلَائِكَةُ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ ، وَلَا كَلْبٌ ، وَلَا جُنُبٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abi Talib that the Prophet said:` "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture, a dog or a person who is Junub."
Hadith 4293
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، ومحمد بن جعفر , عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنِ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ ، أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ ، أَوْ زَرْعٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet said:` "Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for hunting, herding livestock or farming, one Qurat will be deducted from his reward each day."
Hadith 4299
أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " شَرُّ الْكَسْبِ مَهْرُ الْبَغِيِّ ، وَثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ ، وَكَسْبُ الْحَجَّامِ " .
´It was narrated that Waqi bin Khadij said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The worst of earnings arte the gift of a female fornicator, the price of a dog and the earnings of a cupper.""
Hadith 4341
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` the Messenger of Allah forbade (the flesh of) domesticated donkeys on the Day of Khaibar.
Hadith 4375
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ , وَيَحْيَى ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، وَأَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالُوا : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ فَيْرُوزَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ : حَدِّثْنِي مَا كَرِهَ ، أَوْ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ ، وَيَدِي أَقْصَرُ مِنْ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا يَجْزِينَ فِي الْأَضَاحِيِّ : الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا ، وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا ، وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ ظَلْعُهَا ، وَالْكَسِيرَةُ الَّتِي لَا تُنْقِي " . قَالَ : فَإِنِّي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَقْصٌ فِي الْقَرْنِ ، وَالْأُذُنِ ، قَالَ : فَمَا كَرِهْتَ مِنْهُ فَدَعْهُ ، وَلَا تُحَرِّمْهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ .
´'Ubaid bin Fairuz said:` "I said to Al-Bara bin Azib: 'Tell me of the sacrificial animals that the Messenger of Allah dislike or forbade. He said: "The Messenger of Allah gestured like this with his hand, and my hands are shorter than the hand of the Messenger of Allah, (and he said). 'There are four that will not do as sacrifices: The animal that clearly has one bad eye: the sick animals that is obviously sick; the lame animal with an obvious lamp; and the animal that is so emaciated that it is as if there is no marrow in its bones: He said: "And I dislike that the animal should have some fault in its horns or ears." He said: "What you dislike, forget about it, and do not make it forbidden to anyone."
Hadith 4398
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَتَمَتَّعُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَذْبَحُ الْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ ، وَنَشْتَرِكُ فِيهَا " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` "We would make Tamattu' when the Prophet was with us, and we would sacrifice a cow on behalf of seven people, sharing it among ourselves." (Sahih )
Hadith 4402
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ : أَنَّهُ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , " فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي عَنَاقُ جَذَعَةٍ , هِيَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ مُسِنَّتَيْنِ ، قَالَ : " اذْبَحْهَا " . فِي حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي لَا أَجِدُ إِلَّا جَذَعَةً ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَذْبَحَ .
´It was narrated from Abu Burdah bin Niyar that he slaughtered (his sacrifice) before the Prophet and the Prophet told him to repeat it. He said:` "I have a Jadh'ah she-goat that is dearer to me than two Muslinnahs." He said: "Sacrifice it," According to the Hadith of: Ubaidullah, he said: "I cannot find anything but a Jadh'ah," and he told him to slaughter it. (Sahih )
Hadith 4415
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا لَاقُو الْعَدُوِّ غَدًا ، وَلَيْسَتْ مَعَنَا مُدًى ؟ ، قَالَ : " مَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ ، وَذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَكُلْ لَيْسَ السِّنَّ ، وَالظُّفُرَ ، وَسَأُحَدِّثُكُمْ ، أَمَّا السِّنُّ : فَعَظْمٌ ، وَأَمَّا الظُّفُرُ : فَمُدَى الْحَبَشَةِ " ، وَأَصَبْنَا نَهْبَةَ إِبِلٍ ، أَوْ غَنَمٍ فَنَدَّ مِنْهَا بَعِيرٌ فَرَمَاهُ رَجُلٌ بِسَهْمٍ فَحَبَسَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِهَذِهِ الْإِبِلِ أَوَابِدَ كَأَوَابِدِ الْوَحْشِ ، فَإِذَا غَلَبَكُمْ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَافْعَلُوا بِهِ هَكَذَا " .
´It was narrated that Rafi bin Khadij said:` "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we are going to meet the enemy tomorrow, and we do not have any knives.' He said: If the blood is shed and the name of Allah is mentioned, then eat, unlike (it is slaughtered) with teeth or nails and I will tell you about that. As for teeth, they are bones, and as for nails, they are the knives of the Ethiopians,; We acquired some spoils of war including sheep or camels, and a camel ran away, so a man shot an arrow at it an stopped it. The Messenger of Allah said: 'some of these animals' or 'these camels'- 'are untamed like wild animals, so if one of them goes out of your control, do the same." (Sahih )
Hadith 4433
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي زَيْنَبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، فَقَدِمَ قَتَادَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، وَكَانَ أَخَا أَبِي سَعِيدٍ لِأُمِّهِ ، وَكَانَ بَدْرِيًّا ، فَقَدَّمُوا إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَيْسَ قَدْ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : إِنَّهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ فِيهِ أَمْرٌ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَانَا أَنْ نَأْكُلَهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لَنَا أَنْ نَأْكُلَهُ ، وَنَدَّخِرَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that:` the Messenger of Alllah forbade (Eating) the meat of sacrificial animals after three days. Then Qatadh bin An-Nu' man, who was brother of Abu Sa'eed through his mo0ther, and had been present at Badr, came and they offered him (some of the meat) .He said: "Didn't the Messenger of Allah forbid it?" Abu Sa eed said: "Something happened later. The Messenger of Allah forbade us to eat it for more than three days, then he allowed us to eat it and store it." (Sahih )
Hadith 4436
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَفَّتْ دَافَّةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ حَضْرَةَ الْأَضْحَى ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُوا ، وَادَّخِرُوا ثَلَاثًا " ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا يَنْتَفِعُونَ مِنْ أَضَاحِيِّهِمْ ، يَجْمُلُونَ مِنْهَا الْوَدَكَ ، وَيَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهَا الْأَسْقِيَةَ ، قَالَ : " وَمَا ذَاكَ " ؟ ، قَالَ : الَّذِي نَهَيْتَ مِنْ إِمْسَاكِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا نَهَيْتُ لِلدَّافَّةِ الَّتِي دَفَّتْ كُلُوا ، وَادَّخِرُوا ، وَتَصَدَّقُوا " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` " "Some Bedouins came to Al-Madinah at the time of (Eid) Al-Adha and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Eat, and store (the meat) for three days.' After that they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the people used to benefit form their sacrifices by melting down the fat, and (also) making water skins from them.' He said: 'Why are you asking?' He said: 'Because you forbade us form keeping the meat of the sacrificial animals.' He said: 'I only forbade that because of the Bedouins who came. (Now) eat it, store it and give it in charity," (Sahih )
Hadith 4440
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُغِيرَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ ، قَالَ : " دُلِّيَ جِرَابٌ مِنْ شَحْمٍ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَالْتَزَمْتُهُ ، قُلْتُ : لَا أُعْطِي أَحَدًا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ، فَالْتَفَتُّ , فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَبَسَّمُ " .
´'Abdullah bin Mughaffal said:` "A bag of fat was thrown on the day of Khaibar, and I caught it and said: "I will not give anything of this to anyone.' I turned around and saw the Messenger of Allah there, smiling." (Sahih )
Hadith 4442
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ أَبِي وَكِيعٍ وَهُوَ هَارُونُ بْنُ عَنْتَرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَلا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ سورة الأنعام آية 121 ، قَالَ : " خَاصَمَهُمُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ، فَقَالُوا : مَا ذَبَحَ اللَّهُ فَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ ، وَمَا ذَبَحْتُمْ أَنْتُمْ أَكَلْتُمُوهُ " .
´Harun bin Abi Walki-who is Harun bin 'Antarah -narrated from his father, form Ibn 'Abbas, concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime:` "Eat not of that on which Allah's name has not been pronounced" - that he said: "The idolaters argued with them and said: 'Whatever Allah kills you do not eat, and whatever you kill you eat!"
Hadith 4447
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْمِنْهَالُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِالْحَيَوَانِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said; "I heard the Messenger of Allah say:` 'May Allah curse the one who disfigures and animal. (Sahih )
Hadith 4454
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو قُدَامَةَ السَّرْخَسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَطْيَبَ مَا أَكَلَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ ، وَإِنَّ وَلَدَ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: "The best (most Pure) food that a man eats is that which he has earned himself, and a man's child (and his child's wealth) is part of his earnings" (Sahih )
Hadith 4462
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ ، مَا لَمْ يَفْتَرِقَا ، فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا بُورِكَ فِي بَيْعِهِمَا ، وَإِنْ كَذَبَا ، وَكَتَمَا مُحِقَ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا " .
´It was narrated that Hakim bin Hizam said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The two parties to a transaction have the choice so long as they have not separated. If they are honest and open, their transaction will be blessed, but if they tell lies and conceal anything, the blessing of their transaction will be lost."
Hadith 4464
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ ، وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ، الَّذِي لَا يُعْطِي شَيْئًا إِلَّا مَنَّهُ ، وَالْمُسْبِلُ إِزَارَهُ ، وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالْكَذِبِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Prophet said:` "There are three at whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He sanctify them, and theirs will be a painful torment: the one who does not give anything but he reminds (the recipient of his gift), the one who drags his Izar (below the ankles), and the one who sells his product by means of false oaths." (Sahih )
Hadith 4471
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ ، مَا لَمْ يَفْتَرِقَا ، أَوْ يَكُونَ خِيَارًا " .
´It was narrated from Yahaya, from 'Ubaidullah who said:` "Nafi narrated to me from Ibn 'Umar, tht the Messenger of Allah said: 'the two parties to a transaction both have the choice so long as they have not separated, or they have chosen." (Sahih )
Hadith 4503
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنِ التَّلَقِّي " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` the Messenger of Allah forbade meeting traders on the way.
Hadith 4522
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ , عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَصَاةِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah forbade Gharar transaction and Hasah transactions."
Hadith 4542
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا تُبَاعُ بِخِرْصِهَا " .
´It was narrated from Zaid bin Thabit that:` the Messenger of Allah granted a concession allowing Araya sales by estimation.
Hadith 4549
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ , عَنْ سَعْدٍ , قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ التَّمْرِ بِالرُّطَبِ ؟ , فَقَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ : " أَيَنْقُصُ الرُّطَبُ إِذَا يَبِسَ ؟ " , قَالُوا : نَعَمْ , " فَنَهَى عَنْهُ " .
´it was narrated that Sa'd said:` "The Messenger of Allah was asked about (buying) fresh dates with dried dates, and he said to those who were around him: 'Will fresh dates decrease (in weight or volume) when they dry out?" they said Yes,' so he forbade that."
Hadith 4570
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيل : حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ , عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الذَّهَبُ الْكِفَّةُ بِالْكِفَّةِ " , وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ يَعْقُوبُ : الْكِفَّةُ بِالْكِفَّةِ , فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ : إِنَّ هَذَا لَا يَقُولُ شَيْئًا , قَالَ عُبَادَةُ : إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا أُبَالِي أَنْ لَا أَكُونَ بِأَرْضٍ يَكُونُ بِهَا مُعَاوِيَةُ , إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ .
´It was narrated that 'Ubadah bin As-Samit said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Gold, equal amount."' (One of the narrators) Yaqub did not mention: "Equal amount." Muawiyah said: "This does not mean anything." 'Ubadah said; "By Allah I do not care if I am in a land where Muawiyah is not present. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah say that."
Hadith 4610
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ : " أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَبْتَاعُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَعْلَى السُّوقِ جُزَافًا , فَنَهَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ فِي مَكَانِهِ حَتَّى يَنْقُلُوهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` they used to buy and sell during the time of the Messenger of Allah at the top of the marketplace without measuring. The Messenger of Allah forbade them to sell it in the place where they had bought it until they moved it.
Hadith 4618
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ , قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى : عَنِ السَّلَفِ , قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُسْلِفُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرَ فِي الْبُرِّ , وَالشَّعِيرِ , وَالتَّمْرِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ لَا أَدْرِي أَعِنْدَهُمْ أَمْ لَا " , وَابْنُ أَبْزَى , قَالَ : مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah Ibn Abi Awfa about paying in advance. He said:` 'We used to pay in advance during the time of the Messenger of Allah and Abu Bakr and 'Umar, for wheat, barley and dates, paying people whom we did not know if they had those things or not.'''Ibn Abza said meaning, similarly.
Hadith 4624
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ , وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , وأَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ , عَنْ سَمُرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَيَوَانِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ نَسِيئَةً " .
´It was narrated from Sasmurah that:` the Messenger of Allah forbade selling animals in exchange for animal's ion credit.
Hadith 4636
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى , قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْعَةٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah forbade two transactions in one."
Hadith 4701
أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " اشْتَرَكْتُ أَنَا وَعَمَّارٌ , وَسَعْدٌ , يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ، فَجَاءَ سَعْدٌ بِأَسِيرَيْنِ , وَلَمْ أَجِئْ أَنَا , وَعَمَّارٌ بِشَيْءٍ " .
´It was narratd that 'Abdullah said:` "Sa'd, 'Ammar and I entered into a partnership on the Day of Badr, (agreeing to share) whatever was allotted to us. 'Ammar and I did not get anything. But sa'd got two prisoners."
Hadith 4728
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ أَبُو عُمَرَ الْعَائِذِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ جِيءَ بِالْقَاتِلِ يَقُودُهُ وَلِيُّ الْمَقْتُولِ فِي نِسْعَةٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِوَلِيِّ الْمَقْتُولِ : " أَتَعْفُو ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " أَتَأْخُذُ الدِّيَةَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَتَقْتُلُهُ ؟ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ بِهِ " ، فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ بِهِ ، فَوَلَّى مِنْ عِنْدِهِ دَعَاهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " أَتَعْفُو ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " أَتَأْخُذُ الدِّيَةَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَتَقْتُلُهُ ؟ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ بِهِ " ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ : " أَمَا إِنَّكَ إِنْ عَفَوْتَ عَنْهُ يَبُوءُ بِإِثْمِهِ وَإِثْمِ صَاحِبِكَ " ، فَعَفَا عَنْهُ وَتَرَكَهُ , فَأَنَا رَأَيْتُهُ يَجُرُّ نِسْعَتَهُ .
´It was narrated that Wa'il said:` "I saw the Messenger of Allah when the heir of a victim brought the killer, leading him by a string. The Messenger of Allah said to the heir of the victim: Will you forgive him?' He said: 'No., He said: 'Will you accept Diyah?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Will you kill him?' He said: 'Yes.' He said" 'Take him away (to kill him).' When he took him and turned away, he turned to those who were with him, and called him back, and said to him: 'Will you forgive him?' He said: No.' He said: 'Will you accept Diyah?' He said: No.' He said: 'Will you kill him?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Take him away.' Then the Messenger of Allah said: 'If you forgive him, he will carry your sin and the sin of your companion (the victim).' So he forgave him and left him, and I was him dragging his string."
Hadith 4729
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَامِعُ بْنُ مَطَرٍ الْحَبَطِيُّ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ ، قَالَ يَحْيَى : وَهُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ .
´A similar report was narrated from 'Alqamah bin Wa'il from his father, from the Prophet. Yahya (one of the narrators) said:` "He is better than him." [1]
Hadith 4738
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا , وَالْأَشْتَرُ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقُلْنَا : هَلْ عَهِدَ إِلَيْكَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَعْهَدْهُ إِلَى النَّاسِ عَامَّةً ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، إِلَّا مَا كَانَ فِي كِتَابِي هَذَا ، فَأَخْرَجَ كِتَابًا مِنْ قِرَابِ سَيْفِهِ , فَإِذَا فِيهِ : " الْمُؤْمِنُونَ تَكَافَأُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ , وَيَسْعَى بِذِمَّتِهِمْ أَدْنَاهُمْ , أَلَا لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ ، وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ بِعَهْدِهِ ، مَنْ أَحْدَثَ حَدَثًا فَعَلَى نَفْسِهِ , أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ " .
´It was narrated that Qais bin 'Ubad said:` "Al-Ashtar and I went to 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: Did the Prophet of Allah tell you anything that he did not tell to all the people?' He said: 'No, except what is in this letter of mine.' He brought out a letter from the sheath of his sword and it said therein: "The lives of the believers are equal in value, and they are one against others, and they hasten to support the asylum granted by the least of them. But no believer may be killed in return for a disbeliever, nor one with a covenant while his convenant is in effect. Whoever commits an offense then the blame is on himself, and whoever gives sanctuary to an offender, then upon him will be the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people."
Hadith 4851
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " هَذِهِ وَهَذِهِ سَوَاءٌ ، يَعْنِي الْخِنْصَرَ ، وَالْإِبْهَامَ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Propher said:` "this and this are the same,": meaning the little finger and the thumb.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ أَبِي بَزَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : هَلْ لِمَنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، وَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْآيَةَ الَّتِي فِي الْفُرْقَانِ : وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلا بِالْحَقِّ سورة الفرقان آية 68 , قَال : " هَذِهِ آيَةٌ مَكِّيَّةٌ نَسَخَتْهَا آيَةٌ مَدَنِيَّةٌ : وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ سورة النساء آية 93 .
´It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Jubair said:` "I said to Ibn Abbas . 'Can a person who killed a believer intentionally repent?' He said: 'No.' Irecited the Verse from Al-Furqan to him: And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person a Allah has forbidden, except but right. He said: 'This Verse was revealed in Makkah and was abrogated by a verse that was revealed in Al-Madinah: And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell
Hadith 4964
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانَ ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ " .
´It was narrated that Rafi bin Khadij said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees."'
Hadith 4999
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the Muhajir is the one who forsakes (Hajara) that which Allah has forbidden to him."
Hadith 5038
أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا , وَعِنْدَهَا امْرَأَةٌ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ " , قَالَتْ : فُلَانَةُ لَا تَنَامُ تَذْكُرُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهَا ، فَقَالَ : " مَهْ , عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا يَمَلُّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا , وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ الدِّينِ إِلَيْهِ مَا دَامَ عَلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` The Prophet [SAW] entered upon her and there was a woman with her. He said: "Who is this?" She said: "So-and-so; she does not sleep"- she mentioned her excessive praying. The Prophet [SAW] said: "Keep quiet. You should do what you are able to, for by Allah, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, does not get tired. The most beloved religion to Him is that in which a person persists."
