Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) He, (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know what right has Allah upon His servants? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. (ﷺ) He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know what rights have servants upon Allah in case they do it (i. e. they worship Allah without associating anything with Him)? غِفَارُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا ، وَأسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ " .
Hudhab bin Khalid Azdi said: Sulaiman bin Mughira narrated to us, he said: Humaid bin Hilal informed us from Abdullah bin Samit, who said that Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I, my brother Anis, and our mother, all three of us, left from our tribe Ghifar, who used to consider the sacred months as permissible. So we went to one of our maternal uncles. He treated us well and did good to us, but his people became jealous of us and said to him: "When you leave your house, Anis commits adultery with your wife." He came to us and spread this rumor foolishly. I said: "The favor you did to us is now ruined, we cannot stay with you anymore." So we went to our camels, loaded our belongings, and our uncle wrapped himself in his cloth and began to weep. We left until we camped in front of Mecca. Anis made a bet with our camels for an equal number more. Then both went to a soothsayer, and the soothsayer said to Anis: "He is better." So Anis brought us all the camels and as many more. Abu Dharr said: "O son of my brother! I prayed three years before meeting the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked: "For whom did you pray?" Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "For Allah, the Exalted." I asked: "In which direction did you face?" He said: "I faced in the direction Allah turned my face." I used to pray the Isha prayer in the last part of the night and would lie like a blanket until the sun rose. Anis said: "I have some work in Mecca, you stay here, I will go." He went and delayed his return. When he came back, I asked: "What did you do?" He said: "I met a man in Mecca who is upon your religion and says that Allah has sent him." I asked: "What do people call him?" He said: "People call him a poet, a soothsayer, and a magician." And Anis himself was a poet. He said: "I have heard the words of soothsayers, but the words this man recites are not the words of soothsayers, and I have measured his words against all the meters of poetry, but after me, no one's tongue will be able to compose poetry like it. By Allah, he is truthful and the people are liars." I said: "You stay here, I will go and see this man." Then I came to Mecca and picked out a weak person from among the people of Mecca (because a strong person might harm me), and asked him: "Where is the man whom you call a Sabi (apostate)?" He pointed at me and said: "This is the Sabi (since you are asking about the Sabi)." Hearing this, all the people of the valley attacked me with stones and bones until I fell unconscious. When I regained consciousness and stood up, I saw that I was as if a red idol (i.e., covered in blood from head to toe). Then I came to Zamzam, washed off all the blood, and drank Zamzam water. So, O my nephew! I stayed there for thirty nights or thirty days, and I had no food except Zamzam water (whenever I felt hungry, I drank it). Then I became fat until the folds of my belly hung down (from obesity), and I did not feel the weakness of hunger in my chest. Once, the people of Mecca slept on a moonlit night, and at that time no one was circumambulating the Ka'bah except two women who were calling upon Isaf and Na'ilah (Isaf and Na'ilah were two idols in Mecca; Isaf was a man and Na'ilah a woman, and the disbelievers believed that they committed adultery there, so they were transformed into idols), they came before me while circumambulating. I said: "Marry one to the other (i.e., Isaf to Na'ilah)." Hearing this, they did not desist from their act. Then I said openly: "Put wood in their private parts (i.e., this obscenity is due to the worship of Isaf and Na'ilah)," and I did not use a euphemism (i.e., I did not use indirect language but openly cursed Isaf and Na'ilah to anger those accursed women who were calling upon them in Allah's House instead of Allah)." Hearing this, both women screamed and said: "If only there was someone from our people (to punish this man for his disrespect)." On the way, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) met them as they were descending from the mountain. They asked the women: "What happened?" They said: "A Sabi has come who is hiding in the curtains of the Ka'bah." They asked: "What did this Sabi say?" They said: "He said something that fills the mouth (i.e., they could not utter it)." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came until he kissed the Black Stone, circumambulated with his companion, and prayed. When they finished praying, Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I was the first to greet and said: 'Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah!' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah.' Then he asked: 'Who are you?' I said: 'A man from Ghifar.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his hand and placed his fingers on his forehead (as if in remembrance). I thought to myself that perhaps he disliked that I said I was from (the tribe of) Ghifar. I reached out to take his hand, but his companion (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him), who knew more about the Prophet's condition than I did, stopped me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head and said: 'When did you come here?' I replied: 'I have been here for thirty nights or days.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Who feeds you?' I said: 'I have nothing except Zamzam water.' Then I became fat until the folds of my belly turned over, and I do not feel the weakness of hunger in my chest.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Zamzam water is blessed, it is food and it fills like food.' Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to host him tonight.' Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) left, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) as well, and I went with both of them. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) opened a door and brought out some dried grapes from Ta'if; this was the first food I ate in Mecca. Then I stayed as long as I stayed, and after that I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: 'A land with date palms has been shown to me, and I think that land is none other than Yathrib.' (Yathrib was the name of Madinah). Then he said: 'Go to your people and invite them to the religion on my behalf; perhaps Allah will benefit them through you and reward you.' I went to Anis, and he asked: 'What did you do?' I said: 'I have accepted Islam and affirmed the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).' He said: 'I do not dislike your religion; I too have accepted Islam and affirmed his Prophethood.' Then we both went to our mother, and she said: 'I do not dislike your religion either; I too have accepted Islam and affirmed it.' Then we loaded our belongings on the camels until we reached our tribe Ghifar. Half of the tribe became Muslim, and their leader was Ima' bin Rahdah Ghifari, who was also their chief. The other half said: 'When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) comes to Madinah, we will become Muslim.' Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, and the remaining half also became Muslim. The people of (the tribe of) Aslam came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We too become Muslim like our Ghifari brothers.' So they also became Muslim. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Allah has forgiven Ghifar, and Allah has saved Aslam.'"
Hadith 2514
Abu Dharr (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Go to your people and say that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) says: Ghifar (is a tribe) to whom Allah granted pardon, and Aslam (is the tribe) to whom Allah granted safety.

Abu Musa said: By Allah, we did not court death until some of us had flung arrows upon the faces of one another.

Usama bin Zaid reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I stood at the door of Paradise and I found that the overwhelming majority of those who entered therein was that of poor persons and the wealthy persons were detained to get into that. The denizens of Hell were commanded to get into Hell, and I stood upon the door of Fire and the majority amongst them who entered there were women.

Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) let the dead bodies of the unbelievers who fought in Badr (lie unburied) for three days. He then came to them and sat by their side and called them and said: O Abu Jahl bin Hisham, O Umayya bin Khalaf, O Utba bin Rab'ila, O Shaiba bin Rabi'ah, have you not found what your Lord had promised with you to be correct? As for me, I have found the promises of my Lord to be (perfectly) correct. Umar listened to the words of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and said: Allah's Messenger, how do they listen and respond to you? They are dead and their bodies have decayed. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what I am saying to them, even you cannot hear more distinctly than they, but they lack the power to reply. Then'he commanded that they should be buried in the well of Badr.

Mutarrif reported on the authority of his father: I came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as he was reciting: "Abundance diverts you" (cii. 1). He said: The son of Adam ؑclaims: My wealth, my wealth. And he (the Holy Prophet) said: O son of Adam. is there anything as your belonging except that which you consumed, which you utilised, or which you wore and then it was worn out or you gave as charity and sent it forward?
Hadith 2999
Suhaib reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer. For if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the people before you, there was a king and he had a magician. When the magician grew old, he said to the king, "I have grown old, so send me a boy so that I may teach him magic." The king sent a boy to him, and he used to teach him magic. On the way to the magician, there was a monk (a Christian ascetic, i.e., a priest who had renounced the world). The boy sat with him and listened to his words, and he liked what he heard. Now, when he would go to the magician, he would pass by the monk and sit with him, and then when he went to the magician, the magician would beat him (for coming late). Eventually, the boy complained to the monk about the magician beating him, so the monk said, "When you fear the magician, say, 'My family kept me back,' and when you fear your family, say, 'The magician kept me back.'"
The boy continued in this state until one day he came across a large beast that had blocked the way of the people. The boy said, "Today I will find out whether the magician is superior or the monk is superior." He took a stone and said, "O Allah, if the way of the monk is more beloved to You than the way of the magician, then kill this animal so that the people may pass." Then he struck it with the stone, and the animal died, and the people were able to pass. Then the boy came to the monk and told him what had happened. The monk said, "Son, you have surpassed me. Surely your rank has reached what I see, and you will soon be tested. If you are tested, do not tell my name."
The boy's condition was such that he would cure the blind and the leper and treat all kinds of illnesses. When the king's companion, who had become blind, heard of this, he brought many gifts to the boy and said, "All this wealth is yours if you cure me." The boy said, "I do not cure anyone; curing is the work of Allah, the Exalted. If you believe in Allah, I will pray to Allah, and He will cure you." The minister believed in Allah, and Allah cured him. He went to the king and sat with him as he used to. The king asked, "Who restored your sight?" The minister replied, "My Lord did." The king said, "Who is your lord besides me?" The minister said, "My Lord and your Lord is Allah." The king seized him and began to torture him until he revealed the boy's name.
The boy was summoned. The king said to him, "O son, you have reached such a level in magic that you cure the blind and the leper and do great deeds?" He replied, "I do not cure anyone; rather, Allah cures." The king seized him and continued to beat him until he revealed the monk's name. The monk was captured. He was told, "Renounce your religion." When he refused, the king ordered a saw to be brought, and it was placed on the middle of his head and he was sawn in two until he fell in two pieces. Then the minister was brought and told, "Renounce your religion." He also refused, so the saw was placed on the middle of his head and he was sawn in two until he fell in two pieces. Then the boy was brought and told, "Return from your religion." He also refused. The king handed him over to some of his companions and said, "Take him to such-and-such a mountain, and when you reach the top, ask him to renounce his religion. If he does, well and good; if not, throw him down." They took him and climbed the mountain. The boy prayed, "O Allah, save me from them however You will." The mountain shook, and they all fell down, and the boy returned to the king.
The king asked, "Where are your companions?" He replied, "Allah saved me from them." Then the king handed him over to some other companions and said, "Take him in a boat to the middle of the sea. If he renounces his religion, well and good; if not, throw him into the sea." They took him. The boy said, "O Allah, save me from them however You will." The boat overturned, and all of them drowned except the boy, who returned to the king.
The king asked, "Where are your companions?" He replied, "Allah, the Exalted, saved me from them." Then the boy said to the king, "You will not be able to kill me until you do what I tell you." The king asked, "What is that?" He said, "Gather all the people in one plain, and crucify me on a trunk. Then take an arrow from my quiver, place it in the bow, and say, 'In the name of Allah, the Lord of this boy,' and shoot the arrow. If you do that, you will kill me."
The king gathered all the people in one plain, crucified the boy on a trunk, took an arrow from his quiver, placed it in the bow, and said, "In the name of Allah, the Lord of this boy," and shot the arrow. The arrow struck the boy in his temple. He placed his hand on the spot and died. When the people saw this, they said, "We believe in the Lord of this boy, we believe in the Lord of this boy, we believe in the Lord of this boy."
Someone said to the king, "By Allah, what you feared has happened—the people have believed." The king ordered trenches to be dug at the entrances of the roads. The trenches were dug, and fires were kindled in them. It was said, "Whoever does not turn back from this religion (i.e., the boy's religion), throw him into the trenches, or say to him, 'Fall into them.'" The people did so until a woman came with her child. She hesitated to fall into the fire, so the child said, "O mother, be patient, for you are on the truth."
