Hadith 2557
حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَي التُّجِيبِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ ، أَوْ يُنْسَأَ فِي أَثَرِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who is desirous that his means of sustenance should be expanded for him or his age may be lengthened, should join the tie of relationship.
Hadith 2557
وحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ لَهُ فِي رِزْقِهِ ، وَيُنْسَأَ لَهُ فِي أَثَرِهِ ، فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: He who likes that his sustenance should be expanded and his age may be lengthened should join the tie of kinship.
Hadith 2558
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَي بْنُ يَحْيَي ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا ، وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Neither nurse mutual hatred, nor jealousy, nor enmity, and become as fellow. brothers and servants of Allah. It is not lawful fora Muslim that he should keep his relations estranged with his brother beyond three days.
Hadith 2558
حَدَّثَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ . ح وحَدَّثَنِيهِ حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَي ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ .
Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying like this.
Hadith 2559
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلَا تَقَاطَعُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا " .
Anas reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: Nurse no grudge, nurse no aversion and do not sever ties of kinship and live like fellow-brothers as servants of Allah. ."
Hadith 2603
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَأَبُو مَعْنٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَتْ عِنْدَ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ يَتِيمَةٌ وَهِيَ أُمُّ أَنَسٍ ، فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَتِيمَةَ ، فَقَالَ : آنْتِ هِيَهْ لَقَدْ كَبِرْتِ لَا كَبِرَ سِنُّكِ ، فَرَجَعَتِ الْيَتِيمَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ تَبْكِي ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ : مَا لَكِ يَا بُنَيَّةُ ؟ قَالَتْ : الْجَارِيَةُ دَعَا عَلَيَّ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَكْبَرَ سِنِّي ، فَالْآنَ لَا يَكْبَرُ سِنِّي أَبَدًا ، أَوْ قَالَتْ : قَرْنِي فَخَرَجَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ مُسْتَعْجِلَةً تَلُوثُ خِمَارَهَا حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا لَكِ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، أَدَعَوْتَ عَلَى يَتِيمَتِي ، قَالَ : وَمَا ذَاكِ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ، قَالَتْ : زَعَمَتْ أَنَّكَ دَعَوْتَ أَنْ لَا يَكْبَرَ سِنُّهَا وَلَا يَكْبَرَ قَرْنُهَا ، قَالَ : فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَمَا تَعْلَمِينَ أَنَّ شَرْطِي عَلَى رَبِّي أَنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَرْضَى كَمَا يَرْضَى الْبَشَرُ ، وَأَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ ، فَأَيُّمَا أَحَدٍ دَعَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِدَعْوَةٍ لَيْسَ لَهَا بِأَهْلٍ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا لَهُ طَهُورًا ، وَزَكَاةً ، وَقُرْبَةً يُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، وقَالَ أَبُو مَعْنٍ : يُتَيِّمَةٌ بِالتَّصْغِيرِ فِي الْمَوَاضِعِ الثَّلَاثَةِ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that there was an orphan girl with Umm Sulaim (who was the mother of Anas). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saw that orphan girl and said: O, it is you; you have grown young. May you not advance in years! That slave-girl returned to Umm Sulaim weeping. Umm Sulaim said: O daughter, what is the matter with you? She said: Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) has invoked curse upon me that I should not grow in age and thus I would never grow in age, or she said, in my (length) of life. Umm Sulaim went out wrapping her head-dress hurriedly until she met Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) . He said to her: Umm Sulaim, what is the matter with you? She said: Allah's Apostle, you invoked curse upon my orphan girl. He said: Umm Sulaim, what is that? She said: She (the orphan girl) states you have cursed her saying that she might not grow in age or grow in life. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) smiled and then said: Umm Sulaim, don't you know that I have made this term with my Lord. And the term with my Lord is that I said to Him: 1 am a human being and I am pleased just as a human being is pleased and I lose temper just as a human being loses temper, so for any person from amongst my Ummah whom I curse and he in no way deserves it, let that, O Lord, be made a source of purification and purity and nearness to (Allah) on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 2611
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا صَوَّرَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ تَرَكَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ إِبْلِيسُ يُطِيفُ بِهِ يَنْظُرُ مَا هُوَ ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَجْوَفَ عَرَفَ أَنَّهُ خُلِقَ خَلْقًا لَا يَتَمَالَكُ " .
Anas reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When Allah fashioned Adam ؑؑin Paradise, He left him as He liked him to leave. Then Iblis roamed round him to see what actually that was and when he found him hollow from within, he recognised that he had been created with a disposition that he would not have control over himself.
Hadith 2631
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ عَالَ جَارِيَتَيْنِ حَتَّى تَبْلُغَا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنَا وَهُوَ ، وَضَمَّ أَصَابِعَهُ " .
Malik reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He, who brought up two girls properly till they grew up, he and I would come (together) (very closely) on the Day of Resurrection, and he interlaced his fingers (for explaining the point of nearness between him and that person).
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا ، قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ قَالَ : حُبَّ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ، قَالَ : أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that a desert Arab said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) : When would be the Last Hour? Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: What preparation have you made for that? Thereupon he said: The love of Allah and of His Messenger (that is my preparation for the Last Hour) (for the Day of Resurrection). Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You would be along with one whom you love.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ : وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ كَبِيرًا ، قَالَ : وَلَكِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، قَالَ : فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " .
Anas reported that a person said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) : When would be the Last Hour? He (the Holy Prophet) said: What preparation have you made for that? And he gave no details, but said: I love Allah and His Messenger. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You would be along with one whom you love. Anas bin Malik (RA) reported through another chain of transmitters that a desert Arab came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon, him), the rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that he said: I have not made much preparations which merit appreciation for myself.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، قَالَ عَبْدٌ : أَخْبَرَنَا ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِهِ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا مِنْ كَثِيرٍ أَحْمَدُ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسِي .
Anas reported that a person said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) : When would be the Last Hour? He (the Holy Prophet) said: What preparation have you made for that? And he gave no details, but said: I love Allah and His Messenger. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You would be along with one whom you love.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ : وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَ لِلسَّاعَةِ ؟ قَالَ : حُبَّ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَمَا فَرِحْنَا بَعْدَ الْإِسْلَامِ فَرَحًا أَشَدَّ مِنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَإِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، فَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ مَعَهُمْ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ أَعْمَلْ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported through another chain of transmitters that a desert Arab came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon, him), the rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that he said: I have not made much preparations which merit appreciation for myself.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنَاه مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قَوْلَ أَنَسٍ : فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ وَمَا بَعْدَهُ .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) this hadith through another chain of transmitters but he did not make mention of the words of Anas (RA) : I love, and what follows subsequently.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا ، وقَالَ عُثْمَانُ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَارِجَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَلَقِينَا رَجُلًا عِنْدَ سُدَّةِ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " مَتَى السَّاعَةُ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا أَعْدَدْتَ لَهَا ؟ قَالَ : فَكَأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ اسْتَكَانَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَهَا كَبِيرَ صَلَاةٍ ، وَلَا صِيَامٍ ، وَلَا صَدَقَةٍ ، وَلَكِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، قَالَ : فَأَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I were coming out of the mosque that we met a person on the threshold of the mosque and he said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) : When would be the Last Hour? Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: What preparation have you made for that? The man became silent and then said: Allah's Messenger, I have made no significant preparation with prayer and fasting and charity but I, however, love Allah and His Messenger. Thereupon (the Holy Prophet) said: You would be along with one whom you love.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَي بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْيَشْكُرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ جَبَلَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِنَحْوِهِ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Anas through another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 2639
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
Narrated to us Qutaybah, narrated to us Abu Awanah, from Qatadah, from Anas.
And narrated to us Ibn al-Muthanna and Ibn Bashshar, they said: narrated to us Muhammad ibn Ja'far, narrated to us Shu'bah, from Qatadah, I heard Anas.
And narrated to us Abu Ghassan al-Misma'i and Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna, they said: narrated to us Mu'adh, meaning ibn Hisham, narrated to me my father, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with this hadith.
And narrated to us Ibn al-Muthanna and Ibn Bashshar, they said: narrated to us Muhammad ibn Ja'far, narrated to us Shu'bah, from Qatadah, I heard Anas.
And narrated to us Abu Ghassan al-Misma'i and Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna, they said: narrated to us Mu'adh, meaning ibn Hisham, narrated to me my father, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with this hadith.
Hadith 2646
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَامِلٍ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، وَرَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ وَكَّلَ بِالرَّحِمِ مَلَكًا ، فَيَقُولُ : أَيْ رَبِّ نُطْفَةٌ ؟ أَيْ رَبِّ عَلَقَةٌ ؟ أَيْ رَبِّ مُضْغَةٌ ؟ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ خَلْقًا ، قَالَ : قَالَ الْمَلَكُ : أَيْ رَبِّ ذَكَرٌ أَوْ أُنْثَى ؟ شَقِيٌّ أَوْ سَعِيدٌ ؟ فَمَا الرِّزْقُ ؟ فَمَا الْأَجَلُ ؟ فَيُكْتَبُ كَذَلِكَ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported directly from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has appointed an angel as the caretaker of the womb, and he would say: My Lord, it is now a drop of semen; my Lord, it is now a clot of blood; my Lord, it has now become a lump of flesh, and when Allah decides to give it a final shape, the angel says: My Lord, would it be male or female or would he be an evil or a good person? What about his livelihood and his age? And it is all written as he is in the womb of his mother.
Hadith 2671
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ وَيَثْبُتَ الْجَهْلُ ، وَيُشْرَبَ الْخَمْرُ وَيَظْهَرَ الزِّنَا " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: It is from the conditions of the Last Hour that knowledge would be taken away and ignorance would prevail (upon the world), the liquor would be drunk, and adultery would become rampant.
Hadith 2671
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، سَمِعْتَ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ لَا يُحَدِّثُكُمْ أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ ، وَيَظْهَرَ الْجَهْلُ ، وَيَفْشُوَ الزِّنَا ، وَيُشْرَبَ الْخَمْرُ ، وَيَذْهَبَ الرِّجَالُ ، وَتَبْقَى النِّسَاءُ ، حَتَّى يَكُونَ لِخَمْسِينَ امْرَأَةً قَيِّمٌ وَاحِدٌ " .

Hadith 2671
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ كُلُّهُمْ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ بِشْرٍ ، وَعَبْدَةَ : لَا يُحَدِّثُكُمُوهُ أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ، فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ .

Hadith 2678
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَعْزِمْ فِي الدُّعَاءِ ، وَلَا يَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَعْطِنِي فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ " .
Anas reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When one of you makes supplication, he should supplicate with a will and should not say: O Allah, confer upon me if Thou likest, for there is none to coerce Allah.
Hadith 2680
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا ، فَلْيَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي ، وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي " ،
Anas (b. Malik) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying. None of you should make a request for death because of the trouble in which he is involved, but if there is no other help to it, then say: O Allah, keep me alive as long as there is goodness in life for me and bring death to me when there is goodness in death for me.
Hadith 2680
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَلَفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ ، قَالَ : مِنْ ضُرٍّ أَصَابَهُ " .

Hadith 2680
حَدَّثَنِي حَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، وَأَنَسٌ يومئذ حي ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : لَوْلَا أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ " .
Nadr bin Anas reported, as when Anas was alive, that he said: Had Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) not stated this.." None should make a request for death," I would have definitely done that.
Hadith 2683
حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ كَرِهَ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ " ،
Ubadah bin Samit reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who loves to meet Allah, Allah also loves to meet him, and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah also abhors to meet him.
Hadith 2683
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Ubadah bin Samit through another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 2675
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهُوَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " إِذَا تَقَرَّبَ عَبْدِي مِنِّي شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ ذِرَاعًا ، وَإِذَا تَقَرَّبَ مِنِّي ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا أَوْ بُوعًا ، وَإِذَا أَتَانِي يَمْشِي أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً " ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: When My servant draws close to Me by the span of a palm, I draw close to him by the cubit and when he draws close to Me by the cubit, I draw close to him by the space (covered) by two hands, and when he draws close to Me by the space (covered) by two hands, I go in hurry towards him.
Hadith 2688
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَادَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَدْ خَفَتَ فَصَارَ مِثْلَ الْفَرْخِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلْ كُنْتَ تَدْعُو بِشَيْءٍ أَوْ تَسْأَلُهُ إِيَّاهُ ؟ " قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، كُنْتُ أَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا كُنْتَ مُعَاقِبِي بِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَعَجِّلْهُ لِي فِي الدُّنْيَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ لَا تُطِيقُهُ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَطِيعُهُ ، أَفَلَا قُلْتَ : اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً ، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا اللَّهَ لَهُ فَشَفَاهُ .
Abu al-Khattab Ziyad ibn Yahya al-Hassani narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Thabit, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, visited a man from among the Muslims who had become weak until he was like a chick. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "Did you used to supplicate for something or ask Him for anything?" He said: Yes, I used to say: O Allah, whatever You were going to punish me with in the Hereafter, hasten it for me in this world. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Glory be to Allah! You cannot bear it, or you are not able to do so. Why did you not say: O Allah, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire?" He said: So he supplicated to Allah for him, and He cured him.
Hadith 2688
وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَعُودُهُ وَقَدْ صَارَ كَالْفَرْخِ ، بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ حُمَيْدٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : لَا طَاقَةَ لَكَ بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فَدَعَا اللَّهَ لَهُ فَشَفَاهُ ،
Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) visited a person from amongst his Companions who had grown as feeble as the chicken. The rest of the hadith is the same, but with this variation that he (the Holy Prophet) said: You have not power enough to undergo the torment imposed by Allah. And there is no mention of: He supplicated Allah for him and He cured him.
Hadith 2688
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْعَطَّارُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
This hadith had been transmitted on the authority of Anas through another chain of narrators.
Hadith 2690
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَيُّ دَعْوَةٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ ؟ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً ، وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً ، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدَعْوَةٍ دَعَا بِهَا ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدُعَاءٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِيهِ " .
Qatada asked Anas which Supplication Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) frequently made. He said: The supplication that he (the Holy Prophet) made very frequently is this: "O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell-Fire." He (Qatada) said that whenever Anas had to supplicate he made this very supplication, and whenever he (intended) to make another supplication he (inserted) this very supplication in that.
Hadith 2690
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " .
Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to supplicate (in these words): "Our Lord, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell Fire."
Hadith 2706
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْبُخْلِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ " ،
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity, from indolence, from cowardice, from senility, from miserliness, and I seek refuge in Thee from the torment of the grave and from trial of the life and death."
Hadith 2706
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَوْلُهُ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ ،
Anas reported from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (this suppli- cation) but with this variation that these words are not found in that supplication:" From the trial of life and death."
Hadith 2706
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ تَعَوَّذَ مِنْ أَشْيَاءَ ذَكَرَهَا وَالْبُخْلِ .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) used to seek refuge in Allah from such things as mentioned in the above-mentioned hadith and from 'miserliness" too.
Hadith 2706
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ الْأَعْوَرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَبْحَابِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَاءِ الدَّعَوَاتِ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ " .
Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) wed to make this supplication:" O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from miserliness, from sloth and from decrepitude."
Hadith 2715
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ ، قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَكَفَانَا وَآوَانَا ، فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لَا كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلَا مُؤْوِيَ ؟ " .
Anas reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When you go to bed, say: "Praise is due to Allah Who fed us, provided us drink, sufficed us and provided us with shelter, for many a people there is none to suffice and none to provide shelter."
Hadith 2734
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّاءَ بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأَكْلَةَ ، فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا " ،
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah is pleased with His servant who says: Al-Hamdu lillah While taking a morsel of food and while drinking.
Hadith 2747
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ وَهُوَ عَمُّهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ حِينَ يَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ كَانَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِأَرْضِ ، فَلَاةٍ فَانْفَلَتَتْ مِنْهُ وَعَلَيْهَا طَعَامُهُ وَشَرَابُهُ ، فَأَيِسَ مِنْهَا ، فَأَتَى شَجَرَةً فَاضْطَجَعَ فِي ظِلِّهَا قَدْ أَيِسَ مِنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَبَيْنَا هُوَ كَذَلِكَ ، إِذَا هُوَ بِهَا قَائِمَةً عِنْدَهُ فَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِهَا " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْفَرَحِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَبْدِي وَأَنَا رَبُّكَ أَخْطَأَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْفَرَحِ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of a servant as he turns towards Him for repentance than this that one amongst you is upon the camel in a waterless desert and there is upon (that camel) his provision of food and drink also and it is lost by him, and he having lost all hope (to get that) lies down in the shadow and is disappointed about his camel and there he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of his nosestring and then out of boundless joy says: O Lord, Thou art my servant and I am Thine Lord. He commits this mistake out of extreme delight.
Hadith 2747
حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ قَدْ أَضَلَّهُ بِأَرْضِ فَلَاةٍ " ،
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than if one of you gets up and he finds his camel missing in a waterless desert (and then he accidentally finds it).
