Hadith 505
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْفَلَّاسُ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَبُو غسان العنبري، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَخْطُبُ إِلَى جِذْعٍ فَلَمَّا اتَّخَذَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمِنْبَرَ حَنَّ الْجِذْعُ حَتَّى أَتَاهُ فَالْتَزَمَهُ فَسَكَنَ " . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ هُوَ بَصْرِيٌّ ، وَهُوَ أَخُو أَبِي عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ .
´Ibn Umar narrated:` "The Prophet would give the Khutbah next to the trunk of a date palm. When he [the Prophet] began using the Minbar the trunk cried out for him until he came to it and held it, so it became quiet."
Hadith 707
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ ، فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ بِأَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ ". قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that :` the Prophet said: "Whoever does not leave false speech, and acting according to it, then Allah is not in any need of him leaving his food and his drink."
Hadith 3123
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ جُنَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لِجَهَنَّمَ سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ بَابٌ مِنْهَا لِمَنْ سَلَّ السَّيْفَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي أَوْ قَالَ عَلَى أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Umar:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There are seven gates of Jahannam: Among them a gate for whoever carries a sword against my Ummah." Or he said: "Against the Ummah of Muhammad."
Hadith 3204
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا أُمِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِتَخْيِيرِ أَزْوَاجِهِ بَدَأَ بِي ، فَقَالَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنِّي ذَاكِرٌ لَكِ أَمْرًا فَلَا عَلَيْكِ أَنْ لَا تَسْتَعْجِلِي حَتَّى تَسْتَأْمِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ " ، قَالَتْ : وَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ أَبَوَايَ لَمْ يَكُونَا لِيَأْمُرَانِي بِفِرَاقِهِ ، قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، يَقُولُ : يَأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ إِنْ كُنْتُنَّ تُرِدْنَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا فَتَعَالَيْنَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ لِلْمُحْسِنَاتِ مِنْكُنَّ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا سورة الأحزاب آية 28 ـ 29، فَقُلْتُ : فِي أَيِّ هَذَا أَسْتَأْمِرُ أَبَوَيَّ ، فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ ، وَفَعَلَ أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ مَا فَعَلْتُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا أَيْضًا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا .
´Narrated 'Aishah [may Allah be pleased with her]:` "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was ordered to tell his wives to make a choice, he started with me. He said: 'O 'Aishah! I am going to mention something to you, but you should not hasten (to reply) until you have consulted your parents.'" She said: "And he knew that my parents would not have ordered me to part from him.'" She said: "Then Allah [Most High] revealed: 'O Prophet! Say to your wives: If you desire the life of this world and its glitter then come...' until reaching: '...for the good doers among you an enormous reward (33:28 & 29).' I said: 'For what should I consult my parents? Indeed I want Allah, His Messenger, and the abode of the Hereafter.' The (remaining) wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) did the same as I did."
Hadith 3269
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَرَأَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ : وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ سورة الحجرات آية 7 ، قَالَ : هَذَا نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَخِيَارُ أَئِمَّتِكُمْ لَوْ أَطَاعَهُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُوا فَكَيْفَ بِكُمُ الْيَوْمَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ، قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ : سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانَ ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ ، فَقَالَ : ثِقَةٌ .
´Narrated Abu Nadrah:` "Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri recited: And know that among you there is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble (49:7). He said: "This is your Prophet (ﷺ) to whom the Revelation came, and the best of your leaders, if he had obeyed them in may of their matters, then he would have been in trouble. So how about you people today?"
Hadith 3395
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ إِسْحَاق ابْنِ أَخِي رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا اضْطَجَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى جَنْبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَى مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ أُومِنُ بِكِتَابِكَ وَبِرَسُولِكَ فَإِنْ مَاتَ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ .
´Rafi` bin Khadij narrated that:` The Prophet said: “When one of you lies down on his right side, then says: ‘O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, and I have turned my face to You, and I lay myself down relying upon You, and I have entrusted my affair to You, there is no refuge [nor escape] from You except to You. I believe in Your Book and Your Messengers (Allāhumma innī aslamtu nafsī ilaika wa wajjahtu wajhī ilaika, wa alja’tu ẓahrī ilaika, wa fawwaḍtu amrī ilaika, lā malja'a [wa lā manjā] minka illā ilaik, ūminu bikitābika wa birusulika)’ – then if he dies that night, he shall enter Paradise.”
Hadith 3578
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ضَرِيرَ الْبَصَرِ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُعَافِيَنِي ، قَالَ : " إِنْ شِئْتَ دَعَوْتُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ صَبَرْتَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ " ، قَالَ : فَادْعُهْ ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ فَيُحْسِنَ وُضُوءَهُ وَيَدْعُوَ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ ، مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ ، إِنِّي تَوَجَّهْتُ بِكَ إِلَى رَبِّي فِي حَاجَتِي هَذِهِ لِتُقْضَى لِيَ ، اللَّهُمَّ فَشَفِّعْهُ فِيَّ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَهُوَ الْخَطْمِيٍّ , وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ هُوَ أَخُو سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ .
´`Uthman bin Hunaif narrated that a blind man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:` “Supplicate to Allah to heal me.” He (ﷺ) said: “If you wish I will supplicate for you, and if you wish, you can be patient, for that is better for you.” He said: “Then supplicate to Him.” He said: “So he ordered him to perform Wudu’ and to make his Wudu’ complete, and to supplicate with this supplication: ‘O Allah, I ask You and turn towards You by Your Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the Prophet of Mercy. Indeed, I have turned to my Lord, by means of You, concerning this need of mine, so that it can be resolved, so O Allah so accept his intercession for me (Allāhumma innī as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilaika binabiyyka Muḥammadin nabi-ir-raḥmati, innī tawajjahtu bika ila rabbī fī ḥājatī hādhihī lituqḍā lī, Allāhumma fashaffi`hu fīyya).’”
Hadith 3835
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ أَشْيَاءَ فَلَا أَحْفَظُهَا ، قَالَ : " ابْسُطْ رِدَاءَكَ " ، فَبَسَطْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَ حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا فَمَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I hear from you things that I do not remember.' He said: 'Spread your cloak.' So I spread it, then he narrated many Ahadith, and I did not forget a thing that he reported to me.'"
Hadith 3872
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ سَمْتًا , وَدَلًّا , وَهَدْيًا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي قِيَامِهَا , وَقُعُودِهَا مِنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَتْ إِذَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَبَّلَهَا , وَأَجْلَسَهَا فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا قَامَتْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهَا فَقَبَّلَتْهُ وَأَجْلَسَتْهُ فِي مَجْلِسِهَا ، فَلَمَّا مَرِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ فَأَكَبَّتْ عَلَيْهِ , فَقَبَّلَتْهُ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ رَأْسَهَا , فَبَكَتْ ، ثُمَّ أَكَبَّتْ عَلَيْهِ , ثُمَّ رَفَعَتْ رَأْسَهَا فَضَحِكَتْ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَظُنُّ أَنَّ هَذِهِ مِنْ أَعْقَلِ نِسَائِنَا فَإِذَا هِيَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ، فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ لَهَا : أَرَأَيْتِ حِينَ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَفَعْتِ رَأْسَكِ , فَبَكَيْتِ , ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَيْهِ , فَرَفَعْتِ رَأْسَكِ , فَضَحِكْتِ ، مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَتْ : إِنِّي إِذًا لَبَذِرَةٌ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ مِنْ وَجَعِهِ هَذَا , فَبَكَيْتُ ، ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَسْرَعُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًا بِهِ , فَذَاكَ حِينَ ضَحِكْتُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ .
´Narrated 'Aishah:` "I have not seen anyone closer in conduct, way, and manners to that of the Messenger of Allah in regards to standing and sitting, than Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." She said "Whenever she would enter upon the Prophet (ﷺ) he would stand to her and kiss her, and he would sit her in his sitting place. Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her she would stand from her seat, and kiss him and sit him in her sitting place. So when the Prophet (ﷺ) fell sick and Fatimah entered, she bent over and kissed him. Then she lifted her head and cried, then she bent over him and she lifted her head and laughed. So I said: 'I used to think that this one was from the most intelligent of our women, but she is really just one of the women.' So when the Prophet (ﷺ) died, I said to her: 'Do you remember when you bent over the Prophet (ﷺ) and you lifted your head and cried, then you bent over him, then you lifted your head and laughed. What caused you to do that?' She said: 'Then, I would be the one who spreads the secrets. He (ﷺ) told me that he was to die from his illness, so I cried. Then he told me that I would be the quickest of his family to meet up with him. So that is when I laughed.'"
