Hadith 141
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated by Muhammad bin Hatim, Muhammad bin Bakr, Ahmad bin 'Uthman Naufali, Abu 'Asim, Ibn Juraij.
Hadith 364
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ مُنْذُ حِينٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ مَيْمُونَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، " أَنَّ دَاجِنَةً ، كَانَتْ لِبَعْضِ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَاتَتْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلَّا أَخَذْتُمْ إِهَابَهَا ، فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِهِ ؟ " .
Ibn'Abbas reported on the authority of Maimuna that someone amongst the wives of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had a domestic animal and it died. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Why did you not take off its skin and make use of that?
Hadith 1109
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا أَيَصُومُ ؟ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا ، مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ " .
Sulaiman bin Yasar reported that he asked Umm Salamah whether a person (who gets up) in the morning in a state of junub should observe fast. She said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (at times) got up in the morning in a state of junub, not because of sexual dreams (but on account of intercourse at night), and then observed fast.
Hadith 1115
وحَدَّثَنَاه أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ ، وَزَادَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَكَانَ يَبْلُغُنِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَزِيدُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، وَفِي هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِرُخْصَةِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي رَخَّصَ لَكُمْ " ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا سَأَلْتُهُ لَمْ يَحْفَظْهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'bah with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition that he (the Holy Prophet) said: "Take advantage of the concession of Allah Who Wanted it to you." When he (one of the narrators) asked him (the other one, Yahya bin Abi Kathir) he did not retain it in his mind.
Hadith 1126
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : " ذَاكَ يَوْمٌ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَهُ ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported that the day of 'Ashura was mentioned before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said: It is a day when the people in the pre-Islamic days need to observe fast, so he who wishes to observe fast should do so, and he who wishes to abandon it should do so.
Hadith 1504
وحَدَّثَنَاه أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'bah with the same chain of transmitters.
Hadith 1536
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ . ح حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُول : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ " .
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbidding the sale of fruit until its good condition is obvious.
Hadith 1566
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، أَنَّ هِلَالَ بْنَ أُسَامَةَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ : أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَخْبَرَهُ : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يُبَاعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُبَاعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The excess of water should not be sold in order to enable the sate of herbage.
Hadith 1623
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : نَحَلَنِي أَبِي نُحْلًا ثُمَّ أَتَى بِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُشْهِدَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ أَعْطَيْتَهُ هَذَا ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : أَلَيْسَ تُرِيدُ مِنْهُمُ الْبِرَّ مِثْلَ مَا تُرِيدُ مِنْ ذَا ؟ قَالَ : بَلَى ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي لَا أَشْهَدُ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ مُحَمَّدًا ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا تَحَدَّثْنَا ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَارِبُوا بَيْنَ أَوْلَادِكُمْ " .
Nu'man bin Bashir reported: My father conferred a gift upon me, and then brought me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to make him a witness (to it). He (the Holy Prophet) said: Have you given such gift to every son of yours (as you have given to Nu'man)? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Don't you expect goodness from them as you expect from him? He said: Yes. of course. He (the Holy Prophet) said: I am not going to bear witness to it (as it is injustice). Ibn Aun (one of the narrators) said: I narrated this hadith to Muhammad (the other narrator) who said: Verily we narrated that lie (the Holy Prophet) had said: Observe equity amongst your children.
Hadith 1671
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ السَّمَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا خَلْفَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، فَقَالَ : لِلنَّاسِ مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي الْقَسَامَةِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ عَنْبَسَةُ : قَدْ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَقُلْتُ : إِيَّايَ حَدَّثَ أَنَسٌ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمٌ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ أَيُّوبَ ، وَحَجَّاجٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ : فَلَمَّا فَرَغْتُ ، قَالَ عَنْبَسَةُ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَتَتَّهِمُنِي يَا عَنْبَسَةُ ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا ، هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ " لَنْ تَزَالُوا بِخَيْرٍ يَا أَهْلَ الشَّامِ مَا دَامَ فِيكُمْ هَذَا أَوْ مِثْلُ هَذَا " ،
Abu Qilaba reported: I was sitting behind 'Umar bin 'Abdul 'Aziz and he said to the people: What do you say about al-Qasama? Thereupon 'Anbasa said: Anas b Malik narrated to us such and such (hadith pertaining to al-Qasama). I said: This is what Anas had narrated to me: People came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) , and the rest of the hadith is the same. When I (Abu Qilaba) finished (the narration of this hadith), 'Anbasa said: Hallowed be Allah. I said: Do you blame me (for telling a lie)? He ('Anbasa) said: No. This is how Anas b Malik narrated to us. O people of Syria, you would not be deprived of good, so long as such (a person) or one like him lives amongst you.
Hadith 1673
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ " أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ ، فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ أَوْ ثَنَايَاهُ ، فَاسْتَعْدَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا تَأْمُرُنِي تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ آمُرَهُ أَنْ يَدَعَ يَدَهُ فِي فِيكَ تَقْضَمُهَا كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ ، ادْفَعْ يَدَكَ حَتَّى يَعَضَّهَا ثُمَّ انْتَزِعْهَا " .
'Imran bin Husain reported that a person bit the hand of a person. He withdrew his hand and his foretooth or foreteeth fell down. He (the man who lost his teeth) referred the matter to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he said, What do you want me to do? Do you ask me that I should order him to put his hand in your mouth, and you should bite it as the camel bites? If you want retaliation, then the only way out is that you put your hand in his mouth (allow him) to bite that and then draw it away.
Hadith 1821
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي أَبِي ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الدِّينُ عَزِيزًا مَنِيعًا إِلَى اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً ، فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً صَمَّنِيهَا النَّاسُ ، فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي : مَا قَالَ ؟ ، قَالَ : كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " .
It has been reported on the authority of Jabir bin ahadeeth who said: I went with my father to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peeace be upon him) and I heard him say: This religion would continue to remain powerful and dominant until there have been twelve Caliphs. Then he added something which I couldn't catch on account of the noise of the people. I asked my father: What did he say? My father said: He has said that all of them will be from the Quraish.
Hadith 1941
وحَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ .
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Juraij.
Hadith 2012
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، وَعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍكرواية روح .
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Juraij.
Hadith 2192
وحدثني أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ . ح وحدثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، قالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍكِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ كُلُّهُمْ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ بِإِسْنَادِ مَالِكٍ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِ ، وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ رَجَاءَ بَرَكَتِهَا إِلَّا فِي حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ وَزِيَادٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى نَفَثَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ وَمَسَحَ عَنْهُ بِيَدِهِ .
'A'isha reported that when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) fell ill, he recited over his body Mu'awwidhatan and blew over him and when his sickness was aggravated I used to recite over him and rub him with his hand with the hope that it was more blessed.
Hadith 2645
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، يَقُولُ ، وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud through another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 2917
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ فِي هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ فِي مَعْنَاهُ .

Hadith 2942
وحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ غَيْلَانَ بْنَ جَرِيرٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَتْ : قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ ، فَأَخْبَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ ، فَتَاهَتْ بِهِ سَفِينَتُهُ ، فَسَقَطَ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهَا يَلْتَمِسُ الْمَاءَ ، فَلَقِيَ إِنْسَانًا يَجُرُّ شَعَرَهُ ، وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ : ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ قَدْ أُذِنَ لِي فِي الْخُرُوجِ ، قَدْ وَطِئْتُ الْبِلَادَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ طَيْبَةَ ، أَخْرَجَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى النَّاسِ ، فَحَدَّثَهُمْ ، قَالَ : هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ وَذَاكَ الدَّجَّالُ ،
Tamim Dari came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and informed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he sailed in an ocean and his ship lost direction and thus landed at an island. They moved about in that land in search of water. There they saw a person who had been pulling his hair. The rest of the hadith is the same. And he (Dajjal) said: If I were to be permitted to set out I would have covered all the lands except Taiba. Then Allah's Messerger (ﷺ) brought (Tamim Dari) before the public and he narrated to them and said: That is Taiba and that is the Dajjal.
