Hadith 333
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا نَرْكَبُ الْبَحْرَ وَنَحْمِلُ مَعَنَا الْقَلِيلَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ ، فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأْنَا بِهِ عَطِشْنَا ، أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ " .
´Abu Hurairah said:` "A man asked the prophet (ﷺ): 'O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea and we take a little water with us, but if we use it for Wudu', we will go thirsty. Can we perform Wudu' with seawater?' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Its water is a means of purification and its dead meat is permissible.'"
Hadith 335
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالثَّلْجِ وَالْمَاءِ وَالْبَرَدِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say: [1] 'Allahummaghsil khatayaya bi-ma'ith-thalj wal-barad (O Allah, wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail).'" [1] That is at the beginning of Salah as is clear from the remainder of the narration which preceded under No. 60.
Hadith 336
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيُرِقْهُ ثُمَّ لِيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw (the contents) away and wash it seven times.'"
Hadith 339
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أُولَاهُنَّ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him wash it seven times, the first time with dust."
Hadith 340
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أُولَاهُنَّ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him wash it seven times, the first time with dust."
Hadith 383
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، قال : قال أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، إِذْ قَالَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ نَاوِلِينِي الثَّوْبَ " ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي لَا أُصَلِّي ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي يَدِكِ " ، فَنَاوَلَتْهُ .
´Abu Hurairah said:` "While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in the Masjid, he said: 'O 'Aishah, hand me the garment.' She said: 'I am not praying.' He said: 'It is not in your hand.' So she gave it to him."
Hadith 396
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا السَّائِبِ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَغْتَسِلْ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ " .
´Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'None of you should perform ghusl in standing water while he is Junub.'"
Hadith 397
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَبُولَنَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ أَوْ يَتَوَضَّأُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "None of you should urinate into standing water and then perform Ghusl or Wudu' with it."
Hadith 398
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ ، ثُمَّ يُغْتَسَلَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ " .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade urinating into standing water and then performing Ghusl from Janabah in it.
Hadith 399
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الرَّاكِدِ ثُمَّ يُغْتَسَلَ مِنْهُ " .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade urinating into standing water then performing Ghusl with it.
Hadith 400
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : " لَا يَبُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ الَّذِي لَا يَجْرِي ، ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ " . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : قَالُوا لِهِشَامٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَسَّانَ : إِنَّ أَيُّوبَ إِنَّمَا يَنْتَهِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أَيُّوبَ لَوِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعَ حَدِيثًا لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "None of you should urinate into standing water which does not flow and then perform Ghusl with it." (One of the narrators) Sufyan said: "They said to Hisham - meaning Ibn Hassan - 'Ayyub only attributed this Hadith to Abu Hurairah?' So he said: 'If Ayyub is not able to raise up a narration then he does not raise it.'" [1] [1] That is, he narrated it from Abu Hurairah, rather than from him from the Prophet (ﷺ) while others narrated it in Marfu' form or "raised" to the Prophet (ﷺ) And perhaps by: "If he is able to not raise it" he means: "If he is not able to raise it." And Allah knows best.
Hadith 409
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَيْنَمَا أَيُّوبُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام يَغْتَسِلُ عُرْيَانًا خَرَّ عَلَيْهِ جَرَادٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَجَعَلَ يَحْثِي فِي ثَوْبِهِ ، قَالَ : فَنَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : يَا أَيُّوبُ ، أَلَمْ أَكُنْ أَغْنَيْتُكَ ، قَالَ : بَلَى يَا رَبِّ ، وَلَكِنْ لَا غِنَى بِي عَنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'While Ayyub, peace be upon him, was bathing naked, locusts of gold landed on him and he started to collect them in his garment. Then his Lord called him (saying): "O Ayyub, did I not make you rich?" he said: "Yes, O Lord, but I cannot do without Your blessing."
Hadith 442
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ، فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .
´Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When any one of you gets up after (sleeping) at night, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has poured water on it two or three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night.'"
Hadith 463
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ أَنَّ نَهَرًا بِبَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ هَلْ يَبْقَى مِنْ دَرَنِهِ شَيْءٌ " ، قَالُوا : لَا يَبْقَى مِنْ دَرَنِهِ شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ : " فَكَذَلِكَ مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِهِنَّ الْخَطَايَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Do you think that is there was a river by the door of any one of you, and he bathed in it five times each day, would there be any trace of dirt left on him?" They said: "No trace of dirt would be left on him." He said: "That is the likeness of the five daily prayers. By means of them Allah erases sins."
Hadith 466
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ هُوَ ابْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْخَزَّازُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ حُرَيْثِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ ، قال : قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ ، قال : قُلْتُ : اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا ، فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قال : فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يُيَسِّرَ لِي جَلِيسًا صَالِحًا فَحَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنِي بِهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَإِنْ صَلَحَتْ فَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ وَأَنْجَحَ ، وَإِنْ فَسَدَتْ فَقَدْ خَابَ وَخَسِرَ ، قَالَ هَمَّامٌ : لَا أَدْرِي هَذَا مِنْ كَلَامِ قَتَادَةَ أَوْ مِنَ الرِّوَايَةِ ، فَإِنِ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ فَرِيضَتِهِ شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ : انْظُرُوا ، هَلْ لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ فَيُكَمَّلُ بِهِ مَا نَقَصَ مِنَ الْفَرِيضَةِ ؟ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ سَائِرُ عَمَلِهِ عَلَى نَحْوِ ذَلِكَ " . خَالَفَهُ أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ .
´It was narrated that Huraith bin Qabisah said:` "I arrived in Al-Madinah and said: 'O Allah, make it easy for me to find a righteous companion.' Then I sat with Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: 'I prayed to Allah to help me find a righteous companion.' So tell me a Hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so that Allah might benefit me from it. He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account will be his Salah. If it is sound then he will have succeeded, be salvaged, but if it is not then he will have lost and be doomed." - (One of the narrators) Hammam said: "I do not know whether this was the words of Qatadah or part of the report." - "If anything is lacking from his obligatory prayers, He will say: 'Look and see whether My slave has any voluntary prayers to make up for what is deficient from his obligatory prayers.' Then all of his deeds will be dealt with in like manner."
Hadith 467
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ يَعْنِي بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قال : كَتَبَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْهُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَلَاتُهُ ، فَإِنْ وُجِدَتْ تَامَّةً كُتِبَتْ تَامَّةً ، وَإِنْ كَانَ انْتُقِصَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ : انْظُرُوا ، هَلْ تَجِدُونَ لَهُ مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ يُكَمِّلُ لَهُ مَا ضَيَّعَ مِنْ فَرِيضَةٍ مِنْ تَطَوُّعِهِ ؟ ثُمَّ سَائِرُ الْأَعْمَالِ تَجْرِي عَلَى حَسَبِ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his Salah. If it is found to be complete then it will be recorded as complete, and if anything is lacking He will say: 'Look and see if you can find any voluntary prayers with which to complete what he neglected of his obligatory prayers.' Then the rest of his deeds will be reckoned in like manner."
Hadith 468
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَوَّلُ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ صَلَاتُهُ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ أَكْمَلَهَا ، وَإِلَّا قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : انْظُرُوا لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ ، فَإِنْ وُجِدَ لَهُ تَطَوُّعٌ ، قَالَ : أَكْمِلُوا بِهِ الْفَرِيضَةَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account will be his Salah. If it is complete (all well and good), otherwise Allah will say: 'Look and see if My slave did any voluntary prayer.' If he is found to have done voluntary prayers, his obligatory prayers will be completed therewith."
Hadith 486
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيكُمْ مَلَائِكَةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ وَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ ، ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ الَّذِينَ بَاتُوا فِيكُمْ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ : كَيْفَ تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : تَرَكْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَأَتَيْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Angels come to you in succession by night and day, and they meet at Fajr prayer and 'Asr prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and He (Allah) will ask them, although He knows best: 'In what condition did you leave My slaves.' They will say: 'We left them when they were praying and we came to them when they were praying.'"
Hadith 487
أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " تَفْضُلُ صَلَاةُ الْجَمْعِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ أَحَدِكُمْ وَحْدَهُ بِخَمْسَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ جُزْءًا ، وَيَجْتَمِعُ مَلَائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : وَقُرْءَانَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْءَانَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا سورة الإسراء آية 78 " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Prayer in congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than the prayer of any one of you offered on his own. The angels of the night and the day meet at Fajr prayer. Recite if you wish: Verily, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn is ever witnessed."[1] [1]Al-Isra' 17:78.
Hadith 503
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام جَاءَكُمْ يُعَلِّمُكُمْ دِينَكُمْ ، فَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ وَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ رَأَى الظِّلَّ مِثْلَهُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَحَلَّ فِطْرُ الصَّائِمِ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ ذَهَبَ شَفَقُ اللَّيْلِ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ الْغَدَ فَصَلَّى بِهِ الصُّبْحَ حِينَ أَسْفَرَ قَلِيلًا ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِ الظُّهْرَ حِينَ كَانَ الظِّلُّ مِثْلَهُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ الظِّلُّ مِثْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ بِوَقْتٍ وَاحِدٍ حِينَ غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَحَلَّ فِطْرُ الصَّائِمِ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ ذَهَبَ سَاعَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : الصَّلَاةُ مَا بَيْنَ صَلَاتِكَ أَمْسِ وَصَلَاتِكَ الْيَوْمَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: This is 'Jibril, peace be upon you, he came to teach you your religion. He prayed Subh when the dawn appeared, and he prayed Zuhr when the sun had (passed its zenith), and he prayed 'Asr when he saw that the shadow of a thing was equal to its height, then he prayed Maghrib when the sub had set and it is permissible for the fasting person to eat. Then he prayed 'Isha' when the twilight had disappeared. Then he came to him the following day and prayed Subh when it had got a little lighter, then he prayed Zuhr when the shadow of a thing was equal to its height, then he prayed 'Asr when the shadow of a thing was equal to twice its height, then he prayed Maghrib at the same time as before, then he prayed 'Isha' when a short period of the night had passed. Then he said: 'The prayer is between the times when you prayed yesterday and the times when you prayed today.'"
Hadith 515
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ مَعْمَرًا ، عَنْ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with two Rak'ahs of 'Asr prayer before the sun sets, or one Rak'ah of the Subh prayer before the sun rises, has caught it."
Hadith 516
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ مَعْمَرًا ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْفَجْرِ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with one Rak'ah of 'Asr prayer before the sun sets, or catches up with one Rak'ah of Fajr before the sun rises, has caught it."
Hadith 517
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَدْرَكَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوَّلَ سَجْدَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَلَاتَهُ ، وَإِذَا أَدْرَكَ أَوَّلَ سَجْدَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَلَاتَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "If any one of you catches the first prostration of 'Asr prayer before the sun sets, let him complete his prayer, and if he catches up with the first prostration of Fajr prayer before the sub rises, let him complete his prayer."
Hadith 518
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَعَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، وَعَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ يُحَدِّثُونَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصُّبْحَ ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الْعَصْرَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of the Subh prayer before the sun rises, then he has caught up with Subh, and whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of 'Asr prayer before the sun sets, then he has caught up with 'Asr."
Hadith 535
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ وَبِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Were it not that I would impose too much difficulty on my Ummah, I would have commanded them to delay 'Isha' and to use the Siwak for every prayer."
Hadith 541
أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قال : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، ح وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لَاسْتَهَمُوا ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ لَاسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ عَلِمُوا مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "If the people knew what (virtue) there was in the call to prayer and the first row, and they not find any way to get to do that [1] other than by drawing lots, they would do that. If they knew what (virtue) there was in coming early to prayer, they would compete to be first in the Masjid. If they knew what (virtue) there was in Al-'Atamah and Subh, they would come to them even if they had to crawl." [1] Indicating the two mentioned items: that is the call to prayer and praying in the first row.
Hadith 551
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ سَجْدَةً مِنَ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ سَجْدَةً مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with a prostration of Subh before the sun rises, then he has caught up with it; and whoever catches up with a prostration of 'Asr before the sun sets, then he has caught up with it."
Hadith 554
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of the prayer, then he has caught up with the prayer."
Hadith 555
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of the prayer, then he has caught up with it."
Hadith 556
أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الْعَطَّارُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَمَاعَةَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of the prayer, then he has caught up with the prayer."
Hadith 557
أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَهَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever catches up with a Rak'ah of the prayer has caught up with it."
Hadith 562
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade praying after 'Asr until the sun had set, and after Subh until the sun had risen.
Hadith 619
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ وَاصِلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا نَسِيتَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلِّ إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ : وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ لِذِكْرِي سورة طه آية 14 " . قَالَ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ يَعْلَى مُخْتَصَرًا .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If you forget a prayer, pray it when you remember it, for Allah says: "and perform the Salah for My remembrance." [1] [1] Ta-Ha 20:14.
Hadith 620
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، قَالَ : وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ لِذِكْرِي سورة طه آية 14 " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, for Allah says: and perform the Salah for My remembrance." [1] [1] Ta-Ha 20:14.
Hadith 621
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً ، فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، يَقُولُ : 0 أَقِمْ الصَّلَاةَ لِلذِّكْرَى 0 " . قُلْتُ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ : هَكَذَا قَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
´It was narrated from Ma'mar, from Az-Zuhri, from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, for Allah says: "and perform prayer when you remember (li dhikra).'" I said to Az-Zuhri: "Is that how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited it?" He said: "Yes."
Hadith 624
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : عَرَّسْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَسْتَيْقِظْ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِيَأْخُذْ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ بِرَأْسِ رَاحِلَتِهِ ، فَإِنَّ هَذَا مَنْزِلٌ حَضَرَنَا فِيهِ الشَّيْطَانُ " ، قَالَ : فَفَعَلْنَا ، فَدَعَا بِالْمَاءِ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "We stopped to camp at the end of the night with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and we did not wake up until the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Let each man take hold of his camel's head (and leave), for the Shaitan was here in this place with us.' We did that, then he called for water and performed Wudu', then he prayed two Rak'ahs, then the Iqamah was said and he prayed Al-Ghadah (Fajr)."
Hadith 646
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ فَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْمُؤَذِّنُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ بِمَدِّ صَوْتِهِ وَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ كُلُّ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah, who heard it from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W):` "The Mu'adhdhin will be forgiven as far as his voice reaches, and every wet and dry thing will bear witness for him."
Hadith 671
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ أَدْبَرَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَلَهُ ضُرَاطٌ حَتَّى لَا يَسْمَعَ التَّأْذِينَ ، فَإِذَا قُضِيَ النِّدَاءُ أَقْبَلَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ أَدْبَرَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا قُضِيَ التَّثْوِيبُ أَقْبَلَ ، حَتَّى يَخْطُرَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَنَفْسِهِ ، يَقُولُ : اذْكُرْ كَذَا اذْكُرْ كَذَا لِمَا لَمْ يَكُنْ يَذْكُرُ ، حَتَّى يَظَلَّ الْمَرْءُ إِنْ يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (S.A.W) said:` "When the call for the prayer is given, the Shaitan takes to his heels, passing wind loudly so that he will not hear the call to prayer. When the call to prayer is finished, he comes back. And when the Iqamah is said, he again takes to his heels, and after it is completed, he returns again to interfere between the (praying) person and his heart, saying to him: 'Remember such and such, remember such and such,' - things that he had not remembered - until he does not know how many (Rak'ahs) he has prayed."
Hadith 672
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لَاسْتَهَمُوا عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ لَاسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ عَلِمُوا مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said:` "If the people knew what (virtue) there is in the call to prayer and the first row, and they had no other way but to draw lots concerning them, they would draw lots. If they knew what (virtue) there is in coming early for the prayer, they would compete in doing so. And if they knew what (virtue) there is in 'Atamah and Subh prayer, they would come even if they had to crawl."
Hadith 675
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ الْأَشَجِّ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الزُّرَقِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ النَّضْرَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَامَ بِلَالٌ يُنَادِي ، فَلَمَّا سَكَتَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَالَ مِثْلَ هَذَا يَقِينًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
´An-Nasr bin Sufyan narrated that he heard Abu Hurairah say:` "We were with the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) and Bilal stood up and gave the call. When he fell silent the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever says the same as this (what the Mu'adhdhin) with certainty, he will enter Paradise.
