Hadith 3128
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِيمَا يَحْكِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِي خَرَجَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِي ، ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ أَنْ أَرْجِعَهُ ، إِنْ أَرْجَعْتُهُ بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ، أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ ، وَإِنْ قَبَضْتُهُ غَفَرْتُ لَهُ وَرَحِمْتُهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (ﷺ), of what he related from his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime:` "And of My slaves who goes out as a Mujahid striving in the cause of Allah, seeking my pleasure, I guarantee that I will bring him back with whatever he had earned as reward or spoils of war, and if I take his (soul) I will forgive him and have mercy on him."
Hadith 3140
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ غَزَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يَنْوِ إِلَّا عِقَالًا ، فَلَهُ مَا نَوَى " .
´It was narrated from Yahya bin Al-Walid bin 'Ubadah bin As-Samit that his grandfather said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever fights in the cause of Allah intending only to get an 'Iqal, he will have what he intended."
Hadith 3141
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ غَزَا وَهُوَ لَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا عِقَالًا فَلَهُ ، مَا نَوَى " .
´It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin As-Samit that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever fights seeking only an 'Iqbal, then he will have what he intended."
Hadith 3162
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ مَنْزِلَكَ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَيْ رَبِّ خَيْرَ مَنْزِلٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : سَلْ وَتَمَنَّ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي إِلَى الدُّنْيَا ، فَأُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِكِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ ، لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'A man from among the people of Paradise will be brought and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, will say: "O son of Adam, how do you find your place (in Paradise)?" He would say: "O Lord, it is the best place." He will say: "Ask and wish (for whatever you want)." He would say: "I ask You to send me back to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten time" - because of what be sees of the virtue of martyrdom.'"
Hadith 3194
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " جَاهِدُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ ، وَأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ ، وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Strive in Jihad with your hands, your tongues and your wealth.'" [1] [1] See 3098.
Hadith 3219
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : لَا أَتَزَوَّجُ النِّسَاءَ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : لَا آكُلُ اللَّحْمَ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : لَا أَنَامُ عَلَى فِرَاشٍ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : أَصُومُ فَلَا أُفْطِرُ ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَقُولُونَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ لَكِنِّي أُصَلِّي ، وَأَنَامُ ، وَأَصُومُ ، وَأُفْطِرُ ، وَأَتَزَوَّجُ النِّسَاءَ ، فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ سُنَّتِي ، فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي " .
´Narrated Anas:` It was narrated from Anas that there was a group of the Companions of the Prophet, one of whom said: "I will not marry women." Another said: "I will not eat meat." Another said: "I will not sleep on a bed." Another said: "I will fast and not break my fast." News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he praised Allah then said: "What is the matter with people who say such and such? But I pray and I sleep, I fast and I break my fast, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me."
Hadith 3231
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , وَغَيْرُهُ , عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ رِئَابٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , وَعَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , وَهَارُونُ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ، قَالَا : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ عِنْدِي امْرَأَةً ، هِيَ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ، وَهِيَ لَا تَمْنَعُ يَدَ لَامِسٍ ، قَالَ : " طَلِّقْهَا " , قَالَ : لَا أَصْبِرُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَ : " اسْتَمْتِعْ بِهَا " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَيْسَ بِثَابِتٍ , وَعَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ رِئَابٍ أَثْبَتُ مِنْهُ , وَقَدْ أَرْسَلَ الْحَدِيثَ وَهَارُونُ ثِقَةٌ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a man came to the Messenger of Allah and said: "I have a wife who is one of the most beloved of the people to me, but she does not object if anyone touches her." He said: "Divorce her." He said: "I cannot do without her." He said: "Then stay with her as much as you need to."
Hadith 3235
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَتَزَوَّجُ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِيهِمْ لَغَيْرَةً شَدِيدَةً " .
´Narrated Anas:` It was narrated from Anas that they said: "O Messenger of Allah, why don't you marry a woman from the Ansar?" He said: "They are very jealous."
Hadith 3256
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، لَمَّا انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا بَعَثَ إِلَيْهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَخْطُبُهَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمْ تَزَوَّجْهُ ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَخْطُبُهَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَتْ : أَخْبِرْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِّي امْرَأَةٌ غَيْرَى ، وَأَنِّي امْرَأَةٌ مُصْبِيَةٌ ، وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِي شَاهِدٌ ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا ، فَقُلْ لَهَا أَمَّا قَوْلُكِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ غَيْرَى ، فَسَأَدْعُو اللَّهَ لَكِ فَيُذْهِبُ غَيْرَتَكِ ، وَأَمَّا قَوْلُكِ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ مُصْبِيَةٌ ، فَسَتُكْفَيْنَ صِبْيَانَكِ ، وَأَمَّا قَوْلُكِ أَنْ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِي شَاهِدٌ ، فَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكِ شَاهِدٌ وَلَا غَائِبٌ يَكْرَهُ ذَلِكَ " ، فَقَالَتْ لِابْنِهَا : يَا عُمَرُ , قُمْ فَزَوِّجْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَزَوَّجَهُ " , مُخْتَصَرٌ .
´It was narrated from Umm Salamah, that when her 'Iddah had ended, Abu Bakr sent word to her proposing marriage to her, but she did not marry him. Then the Messenger of Allah sent 'Umar bin Al-Khattab with a proposal of marriage. She said:` "Tell the Messenger of Allah that I am a jealous woman and that I have sons, and none of my guardians are present." He went to the Messenger of Allah and told him that. He said: "Go back to her and tell her: As for your saying that you are a jealous woman, I will pray to Allah for you to take away your jealousy. As for your saying that you have sons, your sons will be taken care of. And as for your saying that none of your guardians are present, none of your guardians, present or absent, would object to that." She said to her son: "O 'Umar, get up and perform the marriage to the Messenger of Allah," so he performed the marriage.
Hadith 3364
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ وَقَعَ بِجَارِيَةِ امْرَأَتِهِ : " إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَجْلِدْهُ مِائَةً ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَرْجُمْهُ " .
´It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that the Messenger of Allah said, concerning a man who had intercourse with his wife's slave woman:` "If she let him do that, I will flog him with one hundred stripes, and if she did not let him do that, I will stone him (to death)."
Hadith 3375
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ جَاءَ وَعَلَيْهِ رَدْعٌ مِنْ زَعْفَرَانٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَهْيَمْ ؟ " قَالَ : تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً ، قَالَ : وَمَا أَصْدَقْتَ ؟ قَالَ : وَزْنَ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، قَالَ : " أَوْلِمْ ، وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf came with a trace of saffron on him, and the Messenger of Allah said:` "What's this for?" He said: "I have married a woman." He said: "What dowry did you give?" He said: "The weight of a Nawah (five Dirhams) of gold." He said: "Give a Walimah (wedding feast) even if it is with one sheep."
Hadith 3377
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ، قَالَ : " تَزَوَّجْتُ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ابْنِ بِي ، قَالَ : " أَعْطِهَا شَيْئًا ، قُلْتُ : مَا عِنْدِي مِنْ شَيْءٍ ، قَالَ : فَأَيْنَ دِرْعُكَ الْحُطَمِيَّةُ ؟ قُلْتُ : هِيَ عِنْدِي ، قَالَ : فَأَعْطِهَا إِيَّاهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that 'Ali said:` "I got married to Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, let me consummate the marriage.' He said: 'Give her something.' I said: 'I do not have anything.' He said: 'Where is your Hutami armor?' I said: 'It is with me.' He said: 'Give it to her.'"
Hadith 3459
أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنَا قُرَيْظَةَ ، أَنَّهُمْ " عُرِضُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ مُحْتَلِمًا أَوْ نَبَتَتْ عَانَتُهُ قُتِلَ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مُحْتَلِمًا أَوْ لَمْ تَنْبُتْ عَانَتُهُ تُرِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Kathir bin As-Sa'ib said:` "The sons of Quraizah told me that they were presented to the Messenger of Allah on the Day of Quraizah, and whoever (among them) had reached puberty, or had grown pubic hair, was killed, and whoever had not reached puberty and had not grown pubic hair was left (alive)."
Hadith 3462
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ : عَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ ، وَعَنِ الصَّغِيرِ حَتَّى يَكْبُرَ ، وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ أَوْ يُفِيقَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:` "The pen has been lifted from three: From the sleeper until he wakes up, from the minor until he grows up, and from the insane until he comes back to his senses or recovers."
Hadith 3466
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَارٌ فَارِسِيٌّ طَيِّبُ الْمَرَقَةِ ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَعِنْدَهُ عَائِشَةُ ، فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ بِيَدِهِ أَنْ تَعَالَ ، وَأَوْمَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ أَيْ وَهَذِهِ ، فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ الْآخَرُ هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ أَنْ لَا ، مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah had a Persian neighbor who was good at making soup. He came to the Messenger of Allah one day when 'Aishah was with him, and gestured to him with his hand to come. The Messenger of Allah gestured toward 'Aishah -meaning: 'What about her?'- and the man gestured to him like this, meaning, 'No,' two or three times."
Hadith 3495
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ رِئَابٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " إِنَّ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةً لَا تَرُدُّ يَدَ لَامِسٍ ، قَالَ : طَلِّقْهَا ، قَالَ : إِنِّي لَا أَصْبِرُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَ : فَأَمْسِكْهَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا خَطَأٌ ، وَالصَّوَابُ مُرْسَلٌ .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a man said:` "O Messenger of Allah, I have a wife who does not object if anyone touches her." He said: "Divorce her." He said: "I cannot live without her." He said: "Then keep her."
Hadith 3632
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ : لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ سورة آل عمران آية 92 ، قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ : إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَيَسْأَلُنَا عَنْ أَمْوَالِنَا ، فَأُشْهِدُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُ أَرْضِي لِلَّهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اجْعَلْهَا فِي قَرَابَتِكَ " ، فِي حَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ , وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "When this Verse was revealed -'By no means shall you attain Al Birr (piety, righteousness--here it means Allah's reward, i.e. Paradise), unless you spend (in Allah's cause) of that which you love'- Abu Talha said: 'Our Lord will ask us about our wealth. I adjure you, O Messenger of Allah! I am giving my land to Allah.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Make it for your relatives, Hassan bin Thabit and Ubayy bin Ka'b.'"
Hadith 3669
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَرَمِيٌّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ لِيَهُودِيٍّ عَلَى أَبِي تَمْرٌ ، فَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ، وَتَرَكَ حَدِيقَتَيْنِ ، وَتَمْرُ الْيَهُودِيِّ يَسْتَوْعِبُ مَا فِي الْحَدِيقَتَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هَلْ لَكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ الْعَامَ نِصْفَهُ ، وَتُؤَخِّرَ نِصْفَهُ ؟ فَأَبَى الْيَهُودِيُّ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هَلْ لَكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ الْجِدَادَ فَآذِنِّي ؟ فَآذَنْتُهُ ، فَجَاءَ هُوَ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، فَجَعَلَ يُجَدُّ وَيُكَالُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِ النَّخْلِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو بِالْبَرَكَةِ حَتَّى وَفَيْنَاهُ جَمِيعَ حَقِّهِ مِنْ أَصْغَرِ الْحَدِيقَتَيْنِ ، فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ عَمَّارٌ ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُمْ بِرُطَبٍ وَمَاءٍ ، فَأَكَلُوا وَشَرِبُوا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَذَا مِنَ النَّعِيمِ الَّذِي تُسْأَلُونَ عَنْهُ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:` "My father owed some dates to a Jew. He was killed on the Day of Uhud and he left behind two gardens. The dates owed to the Jew would take up everything in the two gardens. The Prophet said: 'Can you take half this year and half next year?' But the Jew refused. The Prophet said: 'When the time to pick the dates comes, call me.' So I called him and he came, accompanied by Abu Bakr. The dates were picked and weighed from the lowest part of the palm trees, and the Messenger of Allah was praying for blessing, until we paid off everything that we owed him from the smaller of the two gardens, as calculated by 'Ammar. Then I brought them some fresh dates and water and they ate and drank, then he said: 'This is part of the blessing concerning which you will be questioned.'"
Hadith 3683
أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ الشَّرِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ أُمِّي أَوْصَتْ أَنْ تُعْتَقَ عَنْهَا رَقَبَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ عِنْدِي جَارِيَةً نُوبِيَّةً أَفَيُجْزِئُ عَنِّي أَنْ أُعْتِقَهَا عَنْهَا ؟ قَالَ : " ائْتِنِي بِهَا " , فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ رَبُّكِ ؟ " قَالتْ : اللَّهُ ، قَالَ : مَنْ أنَا ؟ قَالَتْ : أَنْتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " فَأَعْتِقْهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُؤْمِنَةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ash-Sharid bin Suwaid Ath-Thaqafi said:` "I came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'My mother left a will saying that a slave should be freed on her behalf. I have a Nubian slave girl; will it suffice if I free her on her behalf?' He said: 'Bring her here.' The Prophet said to her: 'Who is your Lord?' She said: 'Allah.' He said: 'Who am I?' She said: 'The Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Set her free , for she is a believer.'"
Hadith 3718
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ أَتَتْهُ وَفْدُ هَوَازِنَ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّا أَصْلٌ وَعيرَةٌ وَقَدْ نَزَلَ بِنَا مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ مَا لَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْكَ فَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ ، فَقَالَ : " اخْتَارُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ وَأَبْنَائِكُمْ ، فَقَالُوا : قَدْ خَيَّرْتَنَا بَيْنَ أَحْسَابِنَا وَأَمْوَالِنَا بَلْ نَخْتَارُ نِسَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَنَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا مَا كَانَ لِي وَلِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ , فَإِذَا صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ ، فَقُومُوا فَقُولُوا إِنَّا نَسْتَعِينُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَوِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي نِسَائِنَا وَأَبْنَائِنَا فَلَمَّا صَلَّوْا الظُّهْرَ قَامُوا فَقَالُوا ذَلِكَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَمَا كَانَ لِي وَلِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ " ، فَقَالَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ : وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا فَهُوَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ : مَا كَانَ لَنَا فَهُوَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ الْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ : أَمَّا أَنَا وَبَنُو تَمِيمٍ فَلَا ، وَقَالَ عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ حِصْنٍ : أَمَّا أَنَا وَبَنُو فَزَارَةَ فَلَا ، وَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ : أَمَّا أَنَا وَبَنُو سُلَيْمٍ فَلَا ، فَقَامَتْ بَنُو سُلَيْمٍ فَقَالُوا : كَذَبْتَ مَا كَانَ لَنَا فَهُوَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ رُدُّوا عَلَيْهِمْ نِسَاءَهُمْ وَأَبْنَاءَهُمْ فَمَنْ تَمَسَّكَ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَيْءِ بِشَيْءٍ فَلَهُ سِتُّ فَرَائِضَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ شَيْءٍ يُفِيئُهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْنَا " , وَرَكِبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ وَرَكِبَ النَّاسُ اقْسِمْ عَلَيْنَا فَيْئَنَا فَأَلْجَئُوهُ إِلَى شَجَرَةٍ فَخَطِفَتْ رِدَاءَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ رِدَائِي فَوَاللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّ لَكُمْ شَجَرَ تِهَامَةَ نَعَمًا قَسَمْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ تَلْقَوْنِي بَخِيلًا وَلَا جَبَانًا وَلَا كَذُوبًا ، ثُمَّ أَتَى بَعِيرًا فَأَخَذَ مِنْ سَنَامِهِ وَبَرَةً بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : هَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي مِنَ الْفَيْءِ شَيْءٌ وَلَا هَذِهِ إِلَّا خُمُسٌ وَالْخُمُسُ مَرْدُودٌ فِيكُمْ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ بِكُبَّةٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخَذْتُ هَذِهِ لِأُصْلِحَ بِهَا بَرْدَعَةَ بَعِيرٍ لِي ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا مَا كَانَ لِي وَلِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَهُوَ لَكَ " فَقَالَ : أَوَبَلَغَتْ هَذِهِ فَلَا أَرَبَ لِي فِيهَا فَنَبَذَهَا ، وَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَدُّوا الْخِيَاطَ وَالْمَخِيطَ فَإِنَّ الْغُلُولَ يَكُونُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ عَارًا وَشَنَارًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said:` "We were with the Messenger of Allah when the delegation of Hawazin came to him and said: 'O Muhammad! We are one of the 'Arab tribes and a calamity has befallen us of which you are well aware. Do us a favor, may Allah bless you.' He said: 'Choose between your wealth or your women and children.' They said: 'You have given us a choice between our families and our wealth; we choose our women and children.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'As for that which was allocated to myself and to Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib, it is yours. When I have prayed Zuhr, stand up and say: "We seek the help of the Messenger of Allah in dealing with the believers, or the Muslims, with regard to our women and children."' So when they prayed Zuhr, they stood up and said that. The Messenger of Allah said: 'As for that which was allocated to myself and to Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib, it is yours.' The Muhajirun said: 'That which was allocated to us is for the Messenger of Allah.' The Ansar said: 'That which was allocated to us is for the Messenger of Allah.' Al-Aqra' bin Habis said: 'As for myself and Banu Tamim, then no (we will not give it up).' 'Uyaynah bin Hisn said: 'As for myself and Banu Fazarah, then no (we will not give it up).' Al-'Abbas bin Mirdas said: 'As for myself and Banu Sulaim, then no (we will not give it up).' Banu Sulaim stood up and said: 'You lied; whatever was allocated to us, it is for the Messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'O people, give their women and children back to them. Whoever gives back anything of these spoils of war, he will have six camels from the spoils of war that Allah grants us next.' Then he mounted his riding-animal and the people surrounded him, saying: 'Distribute our spoils of war among us.' They made him go back toward a tree on which his Rida' (upper-wrap) got caught. He said: 'O people! Give me back my Rida'. By Allah! If there were cattle as many in number as the trees of Tihamah I would distribute them among you, then you would not find me a miser, a coward or a liar.' Then he went to a camel and took a hair from its hump between two of his fingers and said: 'Look! I do not have any of the spoils of war. All I have is the Khums, and the Khums will be given back to you.' A man stood up holding a ball of yarn made from goat hair and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I took this to fix my camel-saddle.' He said: 'What was allocated to myself and to Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib is for you.' He said: 'Is this so important? I don't need it!' And he threw it down. He said: 'O people! Give back even needles large and small, for Al-Ghulul will be (a source of) shame and disgrace for those who took it on the Day of Resurrection.'"
Hadith 3787
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ . ح وأَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ , وَحَبِيبٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَجُوزُ لِامْرَأَةٍ هِبَةٌ فِي مَالِهَا إِذَا مَلَكَ زَوْجُهَا عِصْمَتَهَا " , اللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah said:` "It is not permissible for a woman to give a gift from her wealth, once her husband has marital authority over her." This is the wording of (one of the narrators) Muhammad.
Hadith 3889
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا حِبَّانُ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّهُ : " كَرِهَ أَنْ يَسْتَأْجِرَ الرَّجُلَ حَتَّى يُعْلِمَهُ أَجْرَهُ " .
It was narrated from Al-Hasan that he disliked to hire a man without telling him what his wages would be.
Hadith 3909
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَفَعَهُ : " نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ " . وَافَقَهُ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَلَى النَّهْيِ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ .
´It was narrated from Jabir who attributed it to the Prophet:` "That he forbade leasing out land."
Hadith 4013
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُجَالِدِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ خَارِجَةَ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " نَزَلَتْ وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا سورة النساء آية 93 أَشْفَقْنَا مِنْهَا ، فَنَزَلَتِ الْآيَةُ الَّتِي فِي الْفُرْقَانِ : وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلا بِالْحَقِّ سورة الفرقان آية 68 " .
´It was narrated that Mujalid bin 'Awf said:` "I heard Kharijah bin Zaid bin Thabit narrate that his father said: (The Verse) 'And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell' was revealed and we became worried about it. Then the Verse in Al-Furqan 'And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, or kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except by right.' was revealed."
Hadith 4039
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَبُو بَكْرٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، وَثَابِتٌ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ نَزَلُوا فِي الْحَرَّةِ ، فَأَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ ، " فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا فِي إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَأَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا " ، فَقَتَلُوا الرَّاعِيَ ، وَارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَاسْتَاقُوا الْإِبِلَ ، " فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ ، فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ , فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ ، وَأَلْقَاهُمْ فِي الْحَرَّةِ " ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَحَدَهُمْ يَكْدُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِفِيهِ عَطَشًا حَتَّى مَاتُوا .
´It was narrated from Anas that :` Some people from 'Uraynah camped in Al-Harrah and came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. The climate of Al-Madinah did not suit them, so the Messenger of Allah [SAW] told them to go and stay near the camels that had been given in Sadaqah, and to drink their milk and urine. Then they killed the herdsman and apostatized from Islam, and drove off the camels. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] sent (men) after them, who brought them, then he had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes gouged out, and left them in Al-Harrah. Anas said: "I saw one of them biting at the ground from thirst, until they died."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَتَمَنَّى أَنْ أَلْقَى رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْخَوَارِجِ ؟ ، فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُ الْخَوَارِجَ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأُذُنِي ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ بِعَيْنِي , أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَالٍ , فَقَسَمَهُ فَأَعْطَى مَنْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَمَنْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُ شَيْئًا , فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، مَا عَدَلْتَ فِي الْقِسْمَةِ ؟ رَجُلٌ أَسْوَدُ مَطْمُومُ الشَّعْرِ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَبْيَضَانِ ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا ، وَقَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ لَا تَجِدُونَ بَعْدِي رَجُلًا هُوَ أَعْدَلُ مِنِّي " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَخْرُجُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ كَأَنَّ هَذَا مِنْهُمْ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ ، سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ , لَا يَزَالُونَ يَخْرُجُونَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ آخِرُهُمْ مَعَ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ , فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ هُمْ شَرُّ الْخَلْقِ وَالْخَلِيقَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ : شَرِيكُ بْنُ شِهَابٍ لَيْسَ بِذَلِكَ الْمَشْهُورِ .
´it was narrated that Sharik bin Shihab said:` "I used to wish that I could meet a man among the Companions of the Prophet [SAW] and ask him about the Khawarij. Then I met Abu Barzah on the day of 'Id, with a number of his companions. I said to him: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah [SAW] mention the Khawarij?' He said: 'Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] with my own ears, and saw him with my own eyes. Some wealth was brought to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he distributed it to those on his right and on his left, but he did not give anything to those who were behind him. Then a man stood behind him and said: "O Muhammad! You have not been just in your division!" He was a man with black patchy (shaved) hair, wearing two white garments. So Allah's Messenger [SAW] became very angry and said: "By Allah! You will not find a man after me who is more just than me." Then he said: "A people will come at the end of time; as if he is one of them, reciting the Qur'an without it passing beyond their throats. They will go through Islam just as the arrow goes through the target. Their distinction will be shaving. They will not cease to appear until the last of them comes with Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. So when you meet them, then kill them, they are the worst of created beings."
Hadith 4144
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى بَعِيرًا ، فَأَخَذَ مِنْ سَنَامِهِ وَبَرَةً بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي مِنَ الْفَيْءِ شَيْءٌ ، وَلَا هَذِهِ إِلَّا الْخُمُسُ , وَالْخُمُسُ مَرْدُودٌ فِيكُمْ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that:` the Messenger of Allah went to a camel, and took a hair from its hump between his fingers and said: "I am not entitled to take anything from the Fay, not even this, except the Khumus, and the Khumus will come back to you."
Hadith 4219
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، وَحَبِيبٌ ، وَيُونُسُ ، وَقَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَةٌ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى " .
´It was narrated from Salman bin 'Amir Ad-Dabbi that the Messenger of Allah said:` "For a boy there shoud be an 'Aqiqah, so shed blood for him, and remove the harm from him."
Hadith 4220
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، وَطَاوُسٍ ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ ، وَفِي الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ " .
´it was narrated from Um Kurz that the Messenger of Allah said:` "for a boy two sheep, Mukafaatan (of equal age), and for a girl, one sheep."
Hadith 4300
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمِقْسَمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ السِّنَّوْرِ ، وَالْكَلْبِ إِلَّا كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : وَحَدِيثُ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، لَيْسَ هُوَ بِصَحِيحٍ .
´It was narrated from Jabir that:` the Prophet forbade the price of cats and dogs, except hunting. (Da if) Abu Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa I) said: The Hadith of Hajjaj from Hammad bin Salamah is not authentic:
Hadith 4413
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُشَرَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ ، وَاللَّبَّةِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Ushara' that his father said:` "I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering only in the throat or upper chest?" He said: 'If you stab it in the thigh, that will suffice,"'(Daif)
Hadith 4586
أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَأَبِيعُ بِالدَّنَانِيرِ وَآخُذُ الدَّرَاهِمَ , فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ , فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ إِنِّي أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَأَبِيعُ بِالدَّنَانِيرِ وَآخُذُ الدَّرَاهِمَ ؟ , قَالَ : " لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَهَا بِسِعْرِ يَوْمِهَا , مَا لَمْ تَفْتَرِقَا وَبَيْنَكُمَا شَيْءٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "I used to sell camels at Al-Baqi and I would sell Dinars in exchange for Dirhams. I came to the Prophet in the house of Hafsah and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I want to ask you: I sell camels in Al-Baqi and I sell Dinars in exchange for Dirhams. He said: 'There is nothing wrong with it if you take the price on that day, unless you depart when there is still unfinished business between you both (buyer and seller)."'
Hadith 4593
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى , عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقُلْتُ : رُوَيْدَكَ أَسْأَلُكَ إِنِّي أَبِيعُ الْإِبِلَ بِالْبَقِيعِ بِالدَّنَانِيرِ , وَآخُذُ الدَّرَاهِمَ ؟ , قَالَ : " لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ بِسِعْرِ يَوْمِهَا , مَا لَمْ تَفْتَرِقَا وَبَيْنَكُمَا شَيْءٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "I came to the Prophet and said: 'Wait, I want to ask you something. I sell camels in Al-Baqi with a price set in Dinars but I accept Dirhams instead.' He said: 'There is nothing wrong with it if you take the price on that day, still unfinished business between you both (buyer and seller)"'
Hadith 4672
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ , قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَالسِّنَّوْرِ , إِلَّا كَلْبِ صَيْدٍ " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا مُنْكَرٌ .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Adbullah that:` the Messenger of Allah forbade the price of dogs and cats, except hunting dogs. (Da'if) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: This is Munkar.
Hadith 4759
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنَّ أُخْتَ الرُّبَيِّعِ أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ جَرَحَتْ إِنْسَانًا , فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْقِصَاصَ الْقِصَاصَ " ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ الرَّبِيعِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُقْتَصُّ مِنْ فُلَانَةَ , لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يُقْتَصُّ مِنْهَا أَبَدًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ يَا أُمَّ الرَّبِيعِ , الْقِصَاصُ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ " ، قَالَتْ : لَا وَاللَّهِ , لَا يُقْتَصُّ مِنْهَا أَبَدًا فَمَا زَالَتْ حَتَّى قَبِلُوا الدِّيَةَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that:` the sister of Ar-Rubai' Umm Harithah injured a person and they referred the dispute to the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah said: "Retaliation, retaliation (Qisas)." Umm Ar-Rabi said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how could retaliation be carried out against so and so? No, by Allah, retaliation willnever be carried out against her!' The Messenger of Allah said: "Subhan Allah, O Umm Ar-Rabi'! decreed by Allah." She said: "No, by Allah, retaliation will never be carried out against her!" And she carried on until they accepted Diyah (blood money). He (the prophet) said: "There are among the slaves of Allah who, if they swear by Allah, Allah fulfills their oath.
Hadith 4796
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ " . مُرْسَلٌ .
´It was narrated from Al-Qasim bin Rabi'ah that:` the Messenger of Allah delivered a speech on the Day of the Conquest. (And he mentioned it) in Mursal from.
Hadith 4815
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ النَّقَّاشِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادٌ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَعَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْمُكَاتَبُ يَعْتِقُ بِقَدْرِ مَا أَدَّى ، وَيُقَامُ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ ، وَيَرِثُ بِقَدْرِ مَا عَتَقَ مِنْهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas tht the Prophet said:` "The Mukatab is free to the extent that the has paid off (toward buying his freedom); he Hadd punishment should be carried out on him proportionate to the amount he has paid off (toward buying his freedom); and he inherits proportionate to the amount he has paid off (toward buying his freedom)."
Hadith 4881
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُنْذِرِ مَوْلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ , عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلِصٍّ اعْتَرَفَ اعْتِرَافًا وَلَمْ يُوجَدْ مَعَهُ مَتَاعٌ ، فَقَالَ : لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا إِخَالُكَ سَرَقْتَ ؟ " . قَالَ : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَاقْطَعُوهُ ، ثُمَّ جِيئُوا بِهِ " , فَقَطَعُوهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءُوا بِهِ , فَقَالَ لَهُ : " قُلْ : أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ " ، فَقَالَ : أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ , قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيْهِ ".
´It was narrated from abu Umayah Al-Makhzumi that:` a thief who confused to a crime but with whom no stolen goods has been found, was brought to the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah said to him: "I do not think that you stole anything."He He said: "Yes I did." He said: "Take him and cut off his hands, then bring him here, "So they cut off his hand then they brought him to him. He said to him; "Say: I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him." He said: "I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent to Him." He said:: "O Allah, accept his repentance."(Daif)
Hadith 4888
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَذَكَرَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، أَنَّهُ سُرِقَتْ خَمِيصَتُهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ رَأْسِهِ وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَخَذَ اللِّصَّ فَجَاءَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِهِ ، فَقَالَ صَفْوَانُ : أَتَقْطَعُهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " فَهَلَّا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ تَرَكْتَهُ ؟ " .
´It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah that:` a Khamisah was stolen from beneath his head while he slept in the Masjid of the Prophet. He caught there thief and brought him to the Prophet, who ordered that his hand be cut off. Safwan said: "Are you going to cut off his hand?" He said "Why didn't you let him go before you b brought him to me?" (Daif)
Hadith 4980
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْمَصَاحِفِيُّ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يُوسُفُ ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلِصٍّ ، فَقَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّمَا سَرَقَ ، فَقَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّمَا سَرَقَ ، قَالَ : " اقْطَعُوا يَدَهُ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ سَرَقَ ، فَقُطِعَتْ رِجْلُهُ ، ثُمَّ سَرَقَ عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، حَتَّى قُطِعَتْ قَوَائِمُهُ كُلُّهَا ، ثُمَّ سَرَقَ أَيْضًا الْخَامِسَةَ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمَ بِهَذَا حِينَ ، قَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، ثُمَّ دَفَعَهُ إِلَى فِتْيَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ لِيَقْتُلُوهُ ، مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الْإِمَارَةَ ، فَقَالَ : أَمِّرُونِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَمَّرُوهُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَكَانَ إِذَا ضَرَبَ ضَرَبُوهُ حَتَّى قَتَلُوهُ .
´It was narrated from Al-Harith bin Hatib that a thief was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he said:` "Kill him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, he only stole (something)." He said: "Kill him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, he only stole (something)." He said: "Cut off his hand." Then he stole again, and his foot was cut off. Then he stole at the time of Abu Bakr, untilo all his extremities had been cut off. Then he stole a fifth time, and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "The Messenger of Allah knew better about him when he said: 'Kill him."' Then he handed him over to some young men of Quraish to kill him, among whom was 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair who liked to be in a position of leadership. He said: "Put me in charge of them," so they put him in charge of them and when he struck him, they would strike him, until they killed him.
