Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that a person from amongst the Muslims came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was in the mosque. He called him saying: Allah's Messenger. I have committed adultery. He (the Holy Prophet) turned away from him, He (again) came round facing him and said to him: Allah's Messenger, I have committed adultery. He (the Holy Prophet) turned away until he did that four times, and as he testified four times against his own self, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called him and said: Are you mad? He said: No. He (again) said: Are you married? He said: Yes. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Take him and stone him. Ibn Shihab (one of the narrators) said: One who had heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying this informed me thus: I was one of those who stoned him. We stoned him at the place of prayer (either that of 'Id or a funeral). When the stones hurt him, he ran away. We caught him in the Harra and stoned him (to death). It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Who will kill Ka'b bin Ashraf? He has maligned Allah, the Exalted, and His Messenger. Muhammad bin Maslama said: Messenger of Allah, do you wish that I should kill him? He said: Yes. He said: Permit me to talk (to him in the way I deem fit). He said: Talk (as you like). So, Muhammad bin Maslama came to Ka'b and talked to him, referred to the old friendship between them and said: This man (i. e. the Holy Prophet) has made up his mind to collect charity (from us) and this has put us to a great hardship. When he heard this, Ka'b said: By God, you will be put to more trouble by him. Muhammad bin Maslama said: No doubt, now we have become his followers and we do not like to forsake him until we see what turn his affairs will take. I want that you should give me a loan. He said: What will you mortgage? He said: What do you want? He said: Pledge me your women. He said: You are the most handsome of the Arabs; should we pledge our women to you? He said: Pledge me your children. He said: The son of one of us may abuse us saying that he was pledged for two wasqs of dates, but we can pledge you (our) weapons. He said: All right. Then Muhammad bin Maslama promised that he would come to him with Harith, Abu 'Abs bin Jabr and Abbad bin Bishr. So they came and called upon him at night. He came down to them. Sufyan says that all the narrators except 'Amr have stated that his wife said: I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder. He said: It is only Muhammad bin Maslama and his foster-brother, Abu Na'ila. When a gentleman is called at night even it to be pierced with a spear, he should respond to the call. Muhammad said to his companions: As he comes down, I will extend my hands towards his head and when I hold him fast, you should do your job. So when he came down and he was holding his cloak under his arm, they said to him: We sense from you a very fine smell. He said: Yes, I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia. He said: Allow me to smell (the scent on your head). He said: Yes, you may smell. So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: Allow me to do so (once again). He then held his head fast and said to his companions: Do your job. And they killed him.
Hadith 1813

Jabir said: I did not participate in the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud. My father prevented me (from participating in these battles as my age was tender). After 'Abdullah (my father) was killed on the Day of Ubud, I never lagged behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and joined every battle (he fought).
Hadith 1819

Narrated to us Ahmad ibn Yunus, narrated to us Zuhayr, narrated to us Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir. And narrated to us Yahya ibn Yahya, informed us Abu Khaythamah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us and appointed Abu Ubaydah as our leader to intercept a caravan of Quraysh, and he provided us with a bag of dates—he found nothing else for us. So Abu Ubaydah would give us one date each. He said: I asked, "What did you do with it?" He said: We would suck it as a child sucks, then drink water over it, and it would suffice us for the day until night. And we would beat the leaves with our sticks, then moisten them with water and eat them. He said: We set out along the seashore, and there appeared to us on the seashore something like a huge sand hill. We approached it, and it was a creature called al-‘Anbar (a kind of whale). Abu Ubaydah said: "It is dead meat." Then he said: "No, rather we are the messengers of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and in the path of Allah, and you have been compelled by necessity, so eat." He said: So we stayed by it for a month, and we were three hundred men, until we became fat. He said: I saw us scooping fat from the socket of its eye with buckets, and we would cut from it pieces like the size of a bull or as much as a bull. Abu Ubaydah took thirteen men from us, sat them in the socket of its eye, and took one of its ribs, set it upright, then saddled the largest camel we had and it passed underneath it. We took from its meat and dried strips. When we came to al-Madinah, we went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned that to him. He said: "It is provision that Allah has brought out for you. Do you have any of its meat with you, so you can feed us?" He said: So we sent some of it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he ate from it.

Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) sent us (on an expedition). We were three hundred riders and our chief (leader) was 'Ubaida bin al-Jarrah. We were on the look out for a caravan of the Quraish. So we stayed on the coast for half a month, and were so much afflicted by extreme hunger that we (were obliged) to eat leaves. That is why it was called the Detachment of the Leaves. The ocean cast out for us an animal which was called al-'Anbar (whale). We ate of that for half of the month and rubbed its fat on our (bodies) until our bodies became stout. Abu 'Ubaida caught hold of one of its ribs and fixed that up. He then cast a glance at the tallest man of the army and the highest of the camels and then made him ride over that, and that then passed beneath it (the rib), and many a man could sit in its eye-socket, and we extracted many pitchers of fat from the cavity of its eye. We had small bags containing dates with us (before finding the whale). 'Ubaida gave every person amongst us a handful of dates (and when the provision ran short), he then gave each one of us one date. And when that (stock) was exhausted, we felt its loss.
Hadith 1935
'Amr reported on the authority of Jabir that in the expedition of Khabat (leaves) a person slaughtered three camels, then three, then three, then Abu 'Ubaida forbade him (to do so fearing that the rides may become short).
Hadith 1935
Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported: Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) sent us (on an expedition), and we were three hundred in number, and we were carrying our bags of provisions around our necks.
Hadith 1935
Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent on in expedition a detachment consisting of three hundred (persons) and appointed Abu 'Ubaida bin Jarrah as their chief. Their provisions ran short: 'Abu 'Ubaida collected their provisions in the provision bag and he fed us (for some time). Later on when the provisions ran short he gave us one date every day.
Hadith 1935
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an expedition to the sea coast and I was one among them. The rest of the hadith is the same with a slight variation of wording that in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Wahb bin Kaisan (the words are): "The army ate out of that (the whale) for eighteen days."
Hadith 1935
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an expedition to the land of the tribe of Juhaina, and appointed a person as a chief over them.
Hadith 1941
Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited eating of the flesh of domestic asses on the Day of Khaibar, and permitted the cooking of the flesh of horses.
Hadith 1941
Jabir bin 'Abdullah is reported to have said: We ate during the time of Khaibar the (flesh) of horses and of wild asses, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited us (to eat) the flesh of domestic asses.
Hadith 1949
Abu Zubair reported that he heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying that there was presented to Allah's Messenger (the flesh) of the lizard, but he refused to eat that, saying: I do not know; perhaps it (lizard) might (be one of those natives of) the distant past whose (forms) had been distorted.
Hadith 1950
Abu Zubair reported: I asked Jabir about (the eating) of the lizard, whereupon he said: Don't eat that as he (the Holy Prophet) felt disgust. He (the narrator) said that Umar bin al-Khattab reminded: Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) did not declare it to be unlawful. Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, has (made it a source) of benefit for more than one (persons). It is a common diet of the shepherds. Had it been with me, I would have eaten that.
Hadith 1959
Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade that any beast should be killed after it has been tied.
Hadith 1963

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Sacrifice only a grown-up animal, unless it is difficult for you, in which case sacrifice a ram (of even less than a year, but more than six months' age).

Jabir bin 'Abdullah reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led us in the 'Id prayer in Madinah on the Day of Sacrifice. Some persons slaughtered their animals ahead of him under the impression that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) had-already offered sacrifice. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Those who had slaughtered their animals ahead of him should slaughter the other ones in their stead. And they should not sacrifice the animal before Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had sacrificed (his animal)
