بَابُ الْقَضَاءِ فِي الْمِيَاهِ
Chapter of Judgement Regarding Water
Hadith 1442
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ فِي سَيْلِ مَهْزُورٍ، وَمُذَيْنِبٍ : " يُمْسَكُ حَتَّى الْكَعْبَيْنِ، ثُمَّ يُرْسِلُ الْأَعْلَى عَلَى الْأَسْفَلِ "
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Bakr that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Of the two canals, one was named Mahzoor and the other was named Muzainib. The one whose garden is adjacent to the canal should fill his garden ankle-deep with water and then let the water flow into the other person's garden."
Hadith 1443
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Water that is left over should not be withheld so that grass may remain."
Hadith 1444
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " لَا يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ بِئْرٍ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Amrah bint Abdur Rahman that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not prevent (others) from the surplus water of a well."
