It is narrated from Nafi that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) inherited from Umm al-Mu'mineen Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her). She had given her house to the daughter of Zayd bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) to live in for her lifetime. When she died, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) took possession of that house, considering it his own.
