Book of Knowing the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)
قَتْلُ طَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ فِي رَجَبٍ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ
Talhah and al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with them) were martyred in Rajab of the year 36 AH

قال ابن عُمر: وسمعتُ مُصعبَ بن ثابت بن عبد الله بن الزُّبَير يقول: شهد الزُّبَير بن العوَّام بدرًا، وهو ابن سبع وعشرين سنة، وقُتِلَ وهو ابن أربع وستين سنةً (2).
It is narrated from Ibn Umar: I heard Mus'ab bin Thabit bin Abdullah bin al-Zubayr saying: Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the Battle of Badr when he was 27 years old, and when he was martyred he was 64 years old.
