Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while she was listening: "I wake up in the morning in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) and I intend to fast." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I also wake up in the morning in a state of janabah and I intend to fast. I perform ghusl (ritual bath) and then fast that day." The man said: "You and we are not the same, because Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." (Upon hearing this) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) became angry and said: "By Allah! I am the one among you who fears Allah the most, and I am the one among you who knows best the limits from which one must abstain."
