Hadith 194

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا ابْتَدَأَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ.
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he started the prayer, he would raise his hands up to his shoulders, and when he raised his head from bowing (ruku'), he would raise both hands a little less than that.
