1 إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحْرَمُ الرِّزْقَ بِالذَّنْبِ يُصِيبُهُ

A man is deprived of provision because of a sin he commits

2 إِنَّ مِنْ عَبَّادِ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ

Among Allah's servants are those who, if they swear by Allah, He fulfills it

3 إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عِبَادًا يَعْرِفُونَ النَّاسَ بِالتَّوَسُّمِ

Allah has servants who recognize people by discernment

4 إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عِبَادًا خَلَقَهُمْ لِحَوَائِجِ النَّاسِ

Allah has servants created for the needs of people

5 إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا يَرْفَعَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا وَضَعَهُ

It is a right upon Allah that He does not raise anything in this world except He lowers it

6 إِنَّ لِجَوَابِ الْكِتَابِ حَقًّا كَرَدِّ السَّلَامِ "

Replying to a letter is a right like returning a greeting

7 إِنَّ فِي الْمَعَارِيضِ لَمَنْدُوحَةً عَنِ الْكَذِبِ

There is a way out from lying in ambiguous speech

The best thing a man eats is from his own earnings

9 إِنَّ الْمَسْأَلَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ إِلَّا لِفَقْرٍ مُدْقِعٍ أَوْ غُرْمٍ مُفْظِعٍ

Asking is only lawful for dire poverty or overwhelming debt

A little action with knowledge is much

Everything has an honor

Every nation has a trial, and the trial of my nation is wealth

15 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ سَاعٍ غَايَةً، وَغَايَةُ كُلِّ سَاعٍ الْمَوْتُ

Every worker has an end, and the end of every worker is death

Every doer has an enthusiasm

Every king has a sanctuary, and the sanctuary of Allah is His prohibitions

19 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ صَائِمٍ دَعْوَةً

Every fasting person has a supplication

20 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَابًا، وَإِنَّ بَابَ الْعِبَادَةِ الصِّيَامُ

Everything has a gate, and the gate of worship is fasting

21 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَعْدِنًا

Everything has a source

22 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَلْبًا، وَإِنَّ قَلْبَ الْقُرْآنِ يس

For everything there is a heart, and the heart of the Qur'an is Ya-Sin

23 إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةً، وَإِنِّي اخْتَبَأْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Every prophet has a supplication, and I have kept my supplication as intercession for my nation on the Day of Resurrection

24 إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يُؤْجَرُ فِي نَفَقَتِهِ كُلِّهَا

The believer is rewarded for all his spending

25 إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُجَاهِدُ بِسَيْفِهِ وَلِسَانِهِ

The believer strives with his sword and his tongue

26 إِنَّ الْحَسَدَ لِيَأْكُلُ الْحَسَنَاتِ

Envy consumes good deeds

27 إِنَّ أَكْثَرَ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّاسَ النَّارَ الْأَجْوَفَانِ

The majority of what leads people to the Fire are the two hollow things

28 إِنَّ الدِّينَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا كَمَا بَدَأَ

The religion began as something strange and will return to being strange as it began

29 إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ تَجِيءُ فَتَنْسِفُ الْعِبَادَ نَسْفًا

Trials come and sweep away the servants

30 إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُدْخِلُ الرَّجُلَ الْقَبْرَ

The evil eye can cause a man to enter the grave

31 إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلَاءَ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection

32 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ

Allah loves gentleness in all matters

33 إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ

Allah is beautiful and loves beauty

34 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُلِحِّينَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ

Allah loves those who persist in supplication

35 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْأَبْرَارَ الْأَخْفِيَاءَ الْأَتْقِيَاءَ

Allah loves the righteous, hidden, and pious

36 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُؤْمِنَ الْمُحْتَرِفَ

Allah loves the believing craftsman

37 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ كُلَّ قَلْبٍ حَزِينٍ

Allah loves every sorrowful heart

38 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ مَعَالِيَ الْأُمُورِ وَأَشْرَافَهَا، وَيَكْرَهُ سَفْسَافَهَا

Allah loves lofty matters and noble deeds, and dislikes trivial ones

39 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى رُخْصَتُهُ كَمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ تَتْرُكَ مَعْصِيَتُهُ

Allah loves that His concessions be accepted just as He loves that His prohibitions be avoided

40 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْبَصَرَ النَّافِذَ عِنْدَ مَجِيءِ الشَّهَوَاتِ

Allah loves penetrating insight at the time of desires

41 إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يُحِبُّ الْمَحَامِدَ

Your Lord loves praise

42 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ السَّهْلَ الطَّلْقَ

Allah loves the easy-going, cheerful person

43 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقْبَلُ تَوْبَةَ عَبْدِهِ مَا لَمْ يُغَرْغِرْ

Allah accepts the repentance of His servant as long as he does not reach the throes of death

44 «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ الْعِفْرِيَةَ النِّفْرِيَةَ الَّذِي لَمْ يَرْزَأْ فِي جِسْمِهِ وَلَا مَالِهِ»

Allah dislikes the harsh, rude person who has not suffered in body or wealth

45 إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَرِهَ لَكُمُ الْعَبَثَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Allah dislikes idle play in prayer for you

1 hadith (1087 — 1087)

46 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ

Allah forbids you from gossip and wasting wealth

3 hadith (1088 — 1090)

47 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغَارُ لِلْمُسْلِمِ، فَلْيَغَرْ

Allah is protective for the Muslim, so let him be protective

2 hadith (1091 — 1092)

48 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَرْحَمُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ إِلَّا الرُّحَمَاءَ

Allah does not show mercy to His servants except those who are merciful

1 hadith (1093 — 1093)

49 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَدْرَأُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ سَبْعِينَ مَيْتَةً مِنَ السُّوءِ

Allah repels seventy evil deaths with charity

50 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَنْفَعُ الْعَبْدَ بِالذَّنْبِ يُذْنِبُهُ

Allah benefits the servant through the sin he commits

51 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيُؤَيِّدُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِالرَّجُلِ الْفَاجِرِ

Allah supports this religion even with a wicked man

2 hadith (1096 — 1097)

52 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأُكْلَةَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ فَيَحْمَدَهُ عَلَيْهَا

Allah is pleased with the servant who eats a meal or drinks a drink and praises Him for it

53 «إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَنْعَمَ عَلَى عَبْدٍ نِعْمَةً أَحَبَّ أَنْ تُرَى عَلَيْهِ»

When Allah bestows a blessing upon a servant, He loves to see its effect on him

54 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ انْتِزَاعًا

Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it away

55 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُعْطِي عَلَى نِيَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ

Allah gives according to the intention for the Hereafter

56 إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ إِلَيْهِ يَدَيْهِ فَيَرُدَّهُمَا خَائِبَتَيْنِ

Allah is shy to turn away His servant's hands empty when he raises them to Him

57 إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ لِي الْأَرْضَ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا

Allah has made the earth for me a mosque and a means of purification

1 hadith (1112 — 1112)

58 إِنَّ اللَّهَ زَوَى لِي الْأَرْضَ فَرَأَيْتُ مَشَارِقَهَا وَمَغَارِبَهَا

Allah folded the earth for me so I saw its east and west

1 hadith (1113 — 1113)

59 إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي مَا حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا

Allah has overlooked for my nation what their souls whisper to them

2 hadith (1114 — 1115)

60 إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِقِسْطِهِ وَعَدْلِهِ جَعَلَ الرَّوْحَ وَالْفَرَحَ فِي الْيَقِينِ وَالرِّضَا

By His justice and fairness, Allah has placed comfort and joy in certainty and contentment

61 إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ الْغَيْرَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ

Allah has decreed jealousy for women

1 hadith (1117 — 1117)

62 إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ لِسَانِ كُلِّ قَائِلٍ

Allah is at the tongue of every speaker

63 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبَلُ عَمَلَ عَبْدٍ حَتَّى يَرْضَى قَوْلَهُ

Allah does not accept the deed of a servant until He is pleased with his words

64 إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ بِقَوْمٍ خَيْرًا ابْتَلَاهُمْ

When Allah wants good for a people, He tests them

65 إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَالِمٌ لَمْ يَنْفَعْهُ اللَّهُ بِعِلْمِهِ

The most severely punished people on the Day of Resurrection are scholars whose knowledge did not benefit them

66 إِنَّ شَرَّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ فَرَقَهُ النَّاسُ اتِّقَاءَ فُحْشِهِ

The worst people before Allah on the Day of Resurrection are those whom people avoid because of their evil

67 إِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَبْدًا أَذْهَبَ آخِرَتَهُ بِدُنْيَا غَيْرِهِ

Among the worst people before Allah is a servant who ruins his Hereafter for someone else's worldly gain

1 hadith (1125 — 1125)

68 إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْقَى الْأَشْقِيَاءِ مَنِ اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ فَقْرُ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ

Among the most wretched are those who combine worldly poverty and punishment in the Hereafter

69 إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي بَعْدِي أَعْمَالًا ثَلَاثَةً

I fear for my nation after me three things

70 إِنِّي مُمْسِكٌ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ

I am holding you back from the Fire by your waistbands

71 إِنَّا لَا نَسْتَعْمِلُ عَلَى عَمَلِنَا مَنْ أَرَادَهُ

We do not appoint to our work those who desire it

1 hadith (1134 — 1134)

72 إِنَّكَ لَا تَدَعُ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا أَعْطَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

You do not leave something for the sake of Allah except that Allah gives you something better

73 إِنَّ مِنْ مُوجِبَاتِ الْمَغْفِرَةِ إِدْخَالَ السُّرُورِ عَلَى أَخِيكَ الْمُسْلِمِ

Among the causes of forgiveness is bringing joy to your Muslim brother

74 إِنَّ مِنْ مُوجِبَاتِ الْمَغْفِرَةِ بَذْلَ السَّلَامِ

Among the causes of forgiveness is spreading peace

1 hadith (1140 — 1140)

75 إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةٌ خَضِرَةٌ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مُسْتَخْلِفُكُمْ فِيهَا، فَنَاظِرٌ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ

The world is sweet and green, and Allah will make you successors in it and see how you act

4 hadith (1141 — 1144)

76 إِنَّ مِنْ قَلْبِ ابْنِ آدَمَ بِكُلِّ وَادٍ شُعْبَةً

From the heart of the son of Adam, there is a branch in every valley

77 «إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ نِسَاءِ أُمَّتِي بَرَكَةً أَصْبَحُهُنَّ وَجْهًا وَأَقَلُّهُنَّ مَهْرًا»

The most blessed women of my nation are those with the fairest faces and the least dowries

78 إِنَّ هَذَا الدِّينَ مَتِينٌ فَأَوْغِلْ فِيهِ بِرِفْقٍ

This religion is strong, so enter into it gently

79 إِنَّ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ الرَّجُلُ مَعَ ضَيْفِهِ إِلَى بَابِ الدَّارِ

It is Sunnah for a man to accompany his guest to the door of the house

80 إِنَّ مِمَّا أَدْرَكَ النَّاسُ مِنْ كَلَامِ النُّبُوَّةِ الْأُولَى إِذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحِ فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْتَ

Among the words of the earliest prophethood: If you feel no shame, do as you wish

81 إِنَّ الْمُصَلِّيَ لَيَقْرَعُ بَابَ الْمَلِكِ

The one who prays knocks at the door of the King

82 إِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَشُغْلًا

There is true occupation in prayer

83 إِنَّ رَبِّي أَمَرَنِي أَنْ يَكُونَ نُطْقِي ذِكْرًا

My Lord commanded me that my speech be remembrance

84 إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَحْمَةٌ مُهْدَاةٌ

I am only a gifted mercy

85 إِنَّمَا شِفَاءُ الْعِيِّ السُّؤَالُ

The cure for ignorance is only to ask

86 إِنَّمَا يَعْرِفُ الْفَضْلَ لِأَهْلِ الْفَضْلِ ذَوُو الْفَضْلِ

Only those of virtue recognize the virtue of the people of virtue

87 إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ لِأُتَمِّمَ مَكَارِمَ الْأَخْلَاقِ

I was only sent to perfect noble character

88 إِنَّمَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي الْأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلِّينَ

What I fear most for my nation is misguided leaders

89 إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالْخَوَاتِيمِ

Actions are only judged by their endings

2 hadith (1167 — 1168)

90 إِنَّمَا الْحَلِفُ حِنْثٌ أَوْ نَدَمٌ

An oath is only a sin or regret

91 إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ

Actions are only by intentions

3 hadith (1171 — 1173)

92 إِنَّمَا التَّصْفِيحُ لِلنِّسَاءِ

Clarification is only for women

93 إِنَّمَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا بَلَاءٌ وَفِتْنَةٌ

What remains of this world is only tribulation and trial

94 إِنَّمَا الرَّضَاعَةُ مِنَ الْمَجَاعَةِ

Breastfeeding is only during hunger

95 إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُلُوبَ تَصْدَأُ كَمَا يَصْدَأُ الْحَدِيدُ

These hearts rust just as iron rusts

96 أَلَا إِنَّ عَمَلَ الْجَنَّةِ حَزَنٌ بِرَبْوَةٍ

The deeds of Paradise are difficult and elevated

97 أَمَا إِنَّ النَّذْرَ وَالْيَمِينَ حِنْثٌ أَوْ نَدَمٌ

Vows and oaths are only a sin or regret

98 لَيْسَ الْخَبَرُ كَالْمُعَايَنَةِ

Report is not like seeing

99 لَيْسَ لِفَاسِقٍ غِيبَةٌ

There is no backbiting for a sinner

100 لَيْسَ لِعِرْقٍ ظَالِمٍ حَقٌّ

A wrongdoer has no right

101 لَيْسَ مِنْ خُلُقِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمَلَقُ

Flattery is not from the character of the believer

102 لَيْسَ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ مُسْتَعْتَبٌ

After death, there is no opportunity for reconciliation

1 hadith (1189 — 1189)

103 «لَيْسَ كَبِيرَةٌ بِكَبِيرَةٍ مَعَ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ، وَلَا صَغِيرَةٌ بِصَغِيرَةٍ مَعَ الْإِصْرَارِ»

No major sin remains major with seeking forgiveness, and no minor sin remains minor with persistence

104 لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِغَيْرِنَا

Whoever imitates others is not of us

105 لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ وَسَّعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَتَّرَ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ

He is not of us who, when Allah has given him abundance, withholds from his family

106 لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَتَغَنَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ

He is not of us who does not recite the Qur'an melodiously
