Brief Explanation
Explanation: - These ahadith mention the hardships of the approach of the Day of Judgment, that as time passes, the conditions of people will continue to deteriorate. It is mentioned in a hadith: “Only trials and tribulations will remain in the world.” [ابن ماجه : 4035 ، وسند و صحيح]
In another hadith, it is stated: “Before the Day of Judgment, there will come years upon the people which will be years of deception; in them, the liar will be considered truthful and the truthful will be considered a liar, the treacherous will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as treacherous, and in them the ‘ruwaybidah’ will speak (i.e., the unqualified person will give opinions regarding people’s affairs).” [أحمد : 2 338 ، وسند ه حسن]
The situation will deteriorate to such an extent that a man will pass by a grave and will lie down upon it and say: ‘Would that I were in the place of the occupant of this grave!’ He will not say this out of piety or religiousness, but rather due to difficulties and trials (he will wish for this).” ([مسلم : 157]
There will be such abundance of wealth and riches that the wealthy person will wonder who will accept his charity; he will call someone to take charity, but the other will say: ‘I have no need of it.’” [مسلم : 157]
“The Day of Judgment will be established upon the worst of people.” What will those people be like? It is stated: “The righteous will be taken away one by one, and those who remain will be like the refuse of dates (i.e., insignificant people); Allah will have no concern for them.” [بخاري : 6434]
The worst people will remain, who will be as light and swift as birds, yet as harsh (savage) as wild beasts; they will not regard any good as good nor any evil as evil.” [مسلم : 2940]
