Brief Explanation
Benefit: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “There are three types of people whose supplication is not rejected: a just ruler, the supplication of a fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of the oppressed. Allah, the Exalted, raises it above the clouds on the Day of Resurrection, and the gates of the heavens are opened for it. Allah says: ‘By My Honor! I will surely help you, even if after some time.’” [ابن ماجه : 1752 ، وسند و حسن]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent Mu’adh as a governor to Yemen, he said to him: “Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.” [بخاري : 2448]
