Brief Explanation
Benefit: Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu says: "The first thing you will lose from your religion is trustworthiness, and the last thing you will lose is the prayer (salah). Soon a people will perform prayer, but their religion will not remain. And indeed, this Qur'an that is present among you will also be taken away from you." The narrator says: I asked, "O Abdullah! How will that be, when Allah has inscribed it in our hearts?" He replied: "A night will pass over it, and the written copies (mushaf) will be lifted, and what is in your hearts will be taken away." Then he recited this verse:
"And if We willed, We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would not find for it against Us any advocate." [مصنف ابن ابي شبة : 38740، وسنده صحيح]
