Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): «يَاأَيُّهَاالنَّاسُاتَّقُوارَبَّكُمْإِنَّزَلْزَلَةَالسَّاعَةِشَيْءٌعَظِيمٌ» (22-al-Hajj:1) "O mankind! Fear your Lord! Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour is a tremendous thing." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do you know what day this is?" The people replied: Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This is the day when Allah, the Exalted, will say to Adam (peace be upon him): O Adam! Stand up and send forth the people of Hell (to their designated place)." He will say: O my Lord! How many are the people of Hell? Allah, the Exalted, will say: Out of every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine will go to Hell and one will go to Paradise." The narrator says: The people present began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whenever Islam came, ignorance (Jahiliyyah) existed before it, so this number will be completed from the people of Jahiliyyah. If they are not enough, then the number will be completed through the hypocrites. Your example among the other nations is like the mark on the wrist (i.e., the foreleg) of an animal, or like a small black spot on the side of a camel." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I hope that you will be one fourth of the people of Paradise," so the people said takbir (Allahu Akbar). Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I hope that you will be one third of the people of Paradise," so the people said takbir. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You will be half of the people of Paradise," so the people said takbir. Sufyan, the narrator, says: According to my memory, only up to half was mentioned, but to my knowledge, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said: "I hope that you will be two thirds of the people of Paradise" (or perhaps someone other than the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this).

´Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) recited: You shall see mankind as if in a drunken state, yet they will not be in a drunken state. (22:2)
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation: 1: This is the well-known recitation, the meaning of which is: (And you will see the people appearing intoxicated and senseless, although in reality they will not be intoxicated, but the punishment of Allah is indeed severe), Some other reciters have read it as ﴿سَکْرَی﴾.
2: Al-Hajj: 1.

´Narrated 'Imran bin Husain:` "We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey when some of his Companions fell behind. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raised his voice reciting these two Ayat: "O mankind! Have Taqwa of your Lord! Verily the earthquake of the hour is a terrible thing..." up to His saying: but Allah's torment is severe (21:1 & 2)." When his Companions heard that, they hastened to catch up with him, since they knew that he had something to say. He (ﷺ) said: 'Do you know what Day this is? That is the Day when Adam will be called. His Lord will call him and say: O Adam, send forth those who are to be sent to the Fire. He will say: O Lord! How many are to be sent to the Fire? He will say: From every one-thousand there are nine-hundred and ninety-nine for the Fire and one for Paradise. So the people despaired as if they would not smile again. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw the state of his Companions, he said: 'Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, you will be counted with two creations who are immense in numbers; Ya'juj and Ma'juj, and those who have died among the progeny of Adam and the progeny of Iblis.'" He said: "So some of the people's grief went away, and he (ﷺ) said: 'Strive hard and receive the good news. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! Among mankind, you are but like the mole on the flank of a camel, or a mark on the foreleg of a beast.'"

Explanation: 1: That is, there is no need to be excessively anxious or worried, since the majority consists of disbelievers and polytheists, so they will also be the majority in Hell. If one or two so-called Muslims end up there, who can prevent them from going due to their own misdeeds? And whoever does not wish to go (to Hell) should keep his faith and beliefs correct, stay away from shirk (associating partners with Allah) and innovations (bid‘ah), and continue to perform righteous and virtuous deeds. Such a person, insha Allah, will certainly enter Paradise.
