Hadith 519
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deceives the people of Arabia will not be included in my intercession, nor will he attain my love."
Hadith 520
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, retribution will be taken for the hornless goat from the horned goat."
Hadith 521
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I once presented myself before Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was, in his sermon, commanding the killing of dogs and the slaughtering of pigeons.
Hadith 522
Umm Musa says that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was the most handsome and beautiful among the people.
Hadith 523
Ibrahim bin Sa’d narrates from his grandfather that one day I was praying, a man started to pass in front of me, I tried to stop him but he did not listen, I asked Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) about this: so he said: Nephew! There is no harm to you in this.
Hadith 524
(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُوَيْدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي
أَبِي ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ
عُثْمَانُ : " إِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ تَضَعُوا رِجْلِي فِي الْقَيْدِ ، فَضَعُوهَا " .
On one occasion, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you find this command in the Book of Allah that shackles should be put on my feet, then you should also do that.
Hadith 525
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in the plain of Arafat, and at that time Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was seated behind him on his mount. He said: "This is the place of standing, and the entire plain of Arafat is the place of standing." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from Arafat and quickened the pace of his mount. People began to run to the right and left, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards them and said: "O people! Remain calm," until he reached Muzdalifah. He combined the Maghrib and Isha prayers, then stood in Muzdalifah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at Muzdalifah on the hill of Quzah, and at that time Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was seated behind him on his mount. He said: "This is the place of standing, and the entire Muzdalifah is the place of standing." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from Muzdalifah and quickened the pace of his mount. People again began to run to the right and left, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again advised the people to remain calm, and the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.
Hadith 526
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي الْيَعْفُورِ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
مُسْلِمٍ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ : أَنَّ
عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ أَعْتَقَ عِشْرِينَ مَمْلُوكًا ، وَدَعَا بِسَرَاوِيلَ ، فَشَدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَمْ يَلْبَسْهَا فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلَا إِسْلَامٍ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَارِحَةَ فِي الْمَنَامِ ، وَرَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَإِنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِي : اصْبِرْ ، فَإِنَّكَ تُفْطِرُ عِنْدَنَا الْقَابِلَةَ " ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمُصْحَفٍ فَنَشَرَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، فَقُتِلَ وَهُوَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ .
Muslim says that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) freed twenty slaves together in the last days of his life, and he asked for trousers and tied them tightly, although he had never worn them before, neither in the time of ignorance nor in the time of Islam. He said: "Last night I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the two Shaykhs in a dream. They were saying to me: 'Be patient, tomorrow you will break your fast with us.'" Then he asked for a copy of the Noble Qur'an, opened it, and sat down to read it, and in that state he was martyred while that copy of the Qur'an was in front of him.
Hadith 527
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution; he washed his face three times, washed his hands three times, washed his arms three times, wiped his head, and washed his feet thoroughly.
Hadith 528
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites this supplication three times in the morning «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ», nothing will harm him until the evening, and whoever recites it in the evening, nothing will harm him until the morning, insha’Allah.
Hadith 529
Aban bin Uthman, may Allah have mercy on him, saw a funeral and stood up, and said that once Sayyiduna Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, saw a funeral and he also stood up, and he said that once the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saw a funeral and he also stood up.
Hadith 530
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person is deprived of sustenance by sleeping in the morning."
Hadith 531
Farukh says that I was present at the time of the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). He was buried in his blood-stained clothes and was not given a bath (because he was a martyr).
Hadith 532
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "On the Day when there will be no shade except the shade of Allah, Allah will grant shade to the person who gives respite to a needy person or forgives a debtor."
Hadith 533
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person is deprived of sustenance by sleeping in the morning."
Hadith 534
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person in the state of ihram should neither perform nikah himself nor arrange the nikah for someone else, nor even send a marriage proposal."

نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي
نُبَيْهُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ ، وَكَانَ يَخْطُبُ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَلَى ابْنِهِ ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمَوْسِمِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا أُرَاهُ أَعْرَابِيًّا ، إِنَّ الْمُحْرِمَ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ " ، أَخْبَرَنِي بِذَلِكَ
عُثْمَانُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وحَدَّثَنِي
نُبَيْهٌ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، بِنَحْوِهِ .
Nabiyah bin Wahb says that Ibn Muammar planned the marriage of his son with the daughter of Shaibah bin Jubair during Hajj, and he sent me to Aban bin Uthman, may Allah have mercy on him, who was the Amir of Hajj. I went to him and said, "Your brother wants to marry his son and wishes that you also participate in it." He said, "I did not consider him to be ignorant of the rules. Remember! A person in the state of Ihram cannot marry nor arrange the marriage of anyone else." Then he narrated a hadith with this subject from Sayyiduna Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him.
Hadith 536
Lady Nailah bint al-Farafisah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), says that once Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) dozed off and slept lightly. After a short while, he became alert and said, "These people will certainly kill me." I tried to reassure him, saying, "InshaAllah, this will never happen; things have not reached that point yet. Your subjects are only slightly displeased with you." He replied, "No! I have just seen the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the two Shaykhs (Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them) in a dream. They were telling me that tonight you will break your fast with us."
