It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sanabil that Sabi'ah gave birth to a child only 23 or 25 days after the death of her husband, and she began to prepare for another marriage. Someone came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and informed him about this, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If she does so, (it is fine because) her waiting period ('iddah) has ended.

During this time, a woman from the upper area of Madinah Munawwarah came to me to weep with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this and said, "Do you want to let Satan enter your house, whom Allah has already driven out from here?" Hazrat Umm Salamah says that after that, I did not weep over my husband.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you women has a slave who is a mukatab (one who has a contract of manumission) and he possesses enough to pay the amount of his contract and thereby gain his freedom by handing it over to his owner, then that woman should observe veil from her slave.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that army which will be swallowed by the earth. Hazrat Umm Salamah submitted, "It is possible that there may be people in that army who were forced to join it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "They will be resurrected according to their intentions."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman whose hair is long and I have to tie it in plaits (so is it necessary to undo them when performing ghusl?)" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It is sufficient for you to pour water over it three times thoroughly."
Hazrat Umm Salamah narrates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to offer the Zuhr prayer earlier than you people, and you offer the Asr prayer earlier than he used to.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I do not forget the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which he said on the occasion of the Battle of the Trench, when the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was covered with dust. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was handing bricks to the people and kept saying: "O Allah, the real goodness is the goodness of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Hazrat Ammar and said: "O son of Sumayyah, alas! A rebellious group will kill you."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the last advice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was to take care of the prayer and to treat your slaves well. While repeating this, the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to rattle and his tongue became still.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You should perform Tawaf while riding, staying behind the people." Hazrat Umm Salamah says: "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting Surah At-Tur near the Ka'bah."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform Witr with seven or five rak‘ahs, and he would not separate them with salam or speech in any way.

Allah will send an army; when they reach the place of Baida, they will be swallowed up by the earth." Hazrat Umm Salamah said, "It is possible that there may be people in that army who were included in it by force." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "They will be resurrected according to their intentions."
Ibrahim bin Abdur Rahman's slave woman says that I used to walk dragging the hem of my clothes on the ground. During this, I would pass through places where there was filth and also through places that were clean and pure. Once, I went to Umm Salamah and asked her about this issue. She said that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "The place that comes after cleanses it."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf came to her and said, "Mother, I fear that the abundance of wealth may destroy me, because I am the wealthiest among the Quraysh." She replied, "Son, spend it, because I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that some of my companions will be such that after my separation from them, they will never see me again." When Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf went out, he met Hazrat Umar on the way and told him this. Hazrat Umar himself went to Hazrat Umm Salamah and, entering the house, said, "Swear by Allah and tell me, am I also among them?" She replied, "No, but after you, I cannot say this about anyone."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her house, and there was a mukhannath (effeminate man) present there, as well as Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah, who was the brother of Hazrat Umm Salamah. That eunuch was saying to Abdullah, "O Abdullah bin Abi Umayyah, if tomorrow Allah grants you victory over Taif, then you must obtain the daughter of Ghailan, for she comes with four and returns with eight." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard this statement of his and said to Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), "From now on, he should not enter your house."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You bring your disputes to me. It is possible that one of you may present his argument with such eloquence and clarity compared to the other that I may decide in his favor based on his argument. (Therefore, remember) if I accept someone's statement and decide in his favor regarding his brother's right, then understand that I am cutting a piece of fire for him and giving it to him. Therefore, he should not take it."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed her to perform the Fajr prayer on the day of sacrifice (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah) with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Makkah Mukarramah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Umm Habibah came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah and said, "O Messenger of Allah, are you interested in my sister?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What do you mean?" She said, "You should marry her." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you like this?" She replied, "Yes, I am not your only wife, so among those who can share in this goodness with me, my sister is the most deserving in my view." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "She is not lawful for me (because you are in my marriage)." She said, "By Allah, I have heard that you are going to send a marriage proposal for Durrah bint Umm Salamah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Even if she were lawful for me, I would not marry her, because both I and her father (Abu Salamah) were breastfed by Thuwaibah, the freed slave woman of Banu Hashim. In any case, do not present your sisters and daughters before me."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you go to someone who is near death or ill, then pray for good for him, because the angels say Ameen to your supplication. When Hazrat Abu Salamah passed away, I went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Salamah has passed away." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should make this supplication: "O Allah, forgive me and him, and grant me a better substitute than him." I made this supplication, so Allah granted me a better substitute in the form of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl of janabah from the same vessel, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to kiss her while he was in the state of fasting.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the time for dinner and the time for prayer come together, then eat the food first.

A woman asked Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that my husband kisses me while fasting, and I am also fasting. What is your opinion about this? She replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to kiss me while fasting, and I would also be fasting.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman whose husband had passed away developed a complaint in her eyes. She mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and sought permission to apply kohl to her eyes, saying, "We fear for her eyes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (In the time of ignorance) one of you women would stay in her house for a whole year wearing the worst of clothes, then a dog would pass by her, and she would throw dung and come out. So can she not now spend four months and ten days?
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of the shoulder. During this, Hazrat Bilal came, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) went for prayer without touching water.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Umm Sulaim presented herself in the court of the Messenger and said, "O Messenger of Allah, Allah does not shy away from the truth. Please tell me, if a woman experiences a wet dream, is ghusl (ritual bath) obligatory upon her as well?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes, if she sees water (i.e., discharge)." Upon this, Hazrat Umm Salamah started laughing and said, "Does a woman also have wet dreams?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Then why does the child resemble his mother?"
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, he stayed with her for three days and said: "There should be no aspect of deficiency in this matter before your family. If you wish, I can stay with you for seven days, but in that case, I will also spend seven days with each of the other noble wives."
Kabsha bint Abi Maryam says that I asked Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), "Tell me, what did the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbid his family from?" She replied, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade us from cooking dates so much that even their pits would dissolve, and also from mixing raisins and dates together to make nabidh."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "No believer can hate you, and no hypocrite can love you."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in her house when Hazrat Fatimah came carrying a pot in which there was khazirah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "Call your husband and children as well." So Hazrat Ali and Hasan and Husain also came, and they sat down and began to eat the khazirah. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of sleep on a platform, and under his blessed body was a sheet from Khaybar, and I was praying in the room. During this, Allah revealed this verse: "O People of the House! Allah only wishes to remove impurity from you and to purify you thoroughly." After this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the remaining part of the sheet and covered all of them with it, and he took his hand out and pointed towards the sky and said, "O Allah, these are my family and my close ones, so remove impurity from them and purify them thoroughly." He prayed this twice. Upon this, I put my head into the room and said, "O Messenger of Allah, am I not with you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are also upon goodness, you are also upon goodness." The previous hadith is also narrated from this second chain.

Because I cannot leave them in such a state, as they are also my children." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes, whatever you spend on them, you will be rewarded for it."
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling for a woman whose blood continues to flow constantly. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that she should wait for as many days and nights as she used to experience impurity previously, and estimate those days in the month, and refrain from prayer for that period. After that, she should perform ghusl, tie a cloth, and start offering prayers.
