Hadith 24370
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيّ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنَّهَا طَرَقَتْهَا الْحَيْضَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ، فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَوْبٍ وَفِيهِ دَمٌ ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ اغْسِلِيهِ ، فَغَسَلَتْ مَوْضِعَ الدَّمِ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ الثَّوْبَ ، فَصَلَّى فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, during the night, her menstruation began. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was performing prayer at that time. She showed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by gesture a cloth on which there was blood. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while still in prayer, gestured to her to wash that cloth. She washed the blood from the spot, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it and prayed in it.
Hadith 24371
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الْوِلَادَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The same relationships become prohibited through breastfeeding as become prohibited through lineage.
Hadith 24372
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ نَكَحَتْ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ وَلِيِّهَا ، فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ ، فَإِنْ أَصَابَهَا ، فَلَهَا مَهْرُهَا بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْ فَرْجِهَا ، وَإِنْ اشْتَجَرُوا ، فَالسُّلْطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman marries without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid. If consummation takes place, then on that basis the dowry becomes obligatory upon her, and if people differ regarding this, then the ruler will be the guardian of the one who has no guardian.
Hadith 24373
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ الْكَافِرُ مِنْ كُفَّارِ قُرَيْشٍ يَمُوتُ ، فَيَبْكِيهِ أَهْلُهُ فَيَقُولُونَ : الْمُطْعِمُ الْجِفَانَ الْمُقَاتِلُ الَّذِي . . . ، فَيَزِيدُهُ اللَّهُ عَذَابًا بِمَا يَقُولُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man from among the disbelievers of Quraysh was dying, and his family, weeping over him, were saying, "He was one who filled pots with food and was a warrior." And because of their saying this, Allah Almighty would further increase his punishment.
Hadith 24374
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : ذُكِرَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِخَيْرٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَوَلَمْ تَرَوْهُ يَتَعَلَّمُ الْقُرْآنَ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with goodness, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you not see that he is learning the Noble Qur'an?"
Hadith 24375
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسِي خَبِيثَةٌ ، وَلَكِنْ يَقُولُ نَفْسِي لَقِسَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should say, "My soul has become impure," but he may say, "My heart has become hardened."
Hadith 24376
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ يُخْبِرُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا خَيْرَ فِي جَمَاعَةِ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا فِي مَسْجِدٍ أَوْ جِنَازَةٍ قتيل " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no good in the gathering of women, except if it is in the mosque or at the funeral of a martyr.
Hadith 24377
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَقِيَ عَشْرٌ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ ، وَاعْتَزَلَ أَهْلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the last ten days of Ramadan began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stay awake at night, wake up his family, and tighten his waist belt.
Hadith 24378
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ صَاحِبِ الرُّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا سُئِلَتْ عَنِ الْجَنَابَةِ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَفْرُكُ الْجَنَابَةَ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I used to scrape off the traces of semen from the clothes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 24379
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ مَنْ السَّابِقُونَ إِلَى ظِلِّ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ " قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " الَّذِينَ إِذَا أُعْطُوا الْحَقَّ قَبِلُوهُ ، وَإِذَا سُئِلُوهُ بَذَلُوهُ ، وَحَكَمُوا لِلنَّاسِ كَحُكْمِهِمْ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know who will be the ones to hasten towards the Throne of Allah on the Day of Resurrection? The people replied: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They will be those who, if their right is given to them, accept it; when asked for something, they give it; and they judge for others the same as they judge for themselves.
Hadith 24380
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مَكَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عُرْوَةُ يَقُولُ لِعَائِشَةَ : يَا أُمَّتَاهُ ، لَا أَعْجَبُ مِنْ فَهْمِكِ ، أَقُولُ : زَوْجَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَلَا أَعْجَبُ مِنْ عِلْمِكِ بِالشِّعْرِ وَأَيَّامِ النَّاسِ ، أَقُولُ : ابْنَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَكَانَ أَعْلَمَ النَّاسِ أَوْ وَمِنْ أَعْلَمِ النَّاسِ ، وَلَكِنْ أَعْجَبُ مِنْ عِلْمِكِ بِالطِّبِّ ، كَيْفَ هُوَ ؟ وَمِنْ أَيْنَ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : فَضَرَبَتْ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ ، وَقَالَتْ : " أَيْ عُرَيَّةُ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَسْقَمُ عِنْدَ آخِرِ عُمْرِه ، أَوْ فِي آخِرِ عُمْرِهِ ، فَكَانَتْ تَقْدَمُ عَلَيْهِ وُفُودُ الْعَرَبِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَجْهٍ ، فَتَنْعَتُ لَهُ الْأَنْعَاتَ ، وَكُنْتُ أُعَالِجُهَا لَهُ ، فَمِنْ ثَمَّ " .
Urwah, may Allah have mercy on him, used to say to Hazrat Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, "Mother! I am not surprised at your jurisprudence, because I can say that you are the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the daughter of Hazrat Siddiq Akbar, may Allah be pleased with him. I am also not surprised at your knowledge of poetry and the days of the Arabs, because I can say that you are the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, who was the most knowledgeable among all people. What surprises me is your knowledge of medicine—how, where, and from whom did you acquire it?" She placed her hand on his shoulder and said, "O Urwah! In the last days of his life, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, fell ill. Delegations of Arabs used to come to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from all sides. They would prescribe various things for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and I would treat him with those. That is how I acquired this knowledge."
Hadith 24381
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّلَامُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ الصُّفُوفَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty and His angels send mercy upon those who join the rows.
Hadith 24382
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ ، وَعَلَيَّ بَعْضُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would wake up at night to pray, one corner of the blanket would be over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the other corner would be over me, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would continue to pray.
Hadith 24383
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، قَالَتْ : اسْتَأْذَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ ، فَقَالَ : " جِهَادُكُنَّ ، أَوْ حَسْبُكُنَّ ، الْحَجُّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for permission to participate in jihad, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your jihad is Hajj."
Hadith 24384
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّها قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كُلُّ أَهْلِكَ قَدْ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ غَيْرِي ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَرْسِلِي إِلَى شَيْبَةَ فَيَفْتَحَ لَكِ الْبَابَ " ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ شَيْبَةُ مَا اسْتَطَعْنَا فَتْحَهُ فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلَا إِسْلَامٍ بِلَيْلٍ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلِّي فِي الْحِجْرِ ، فَإِنَّ قَوْمَكَ اسْتَقْصَرُوا عَنْ بِنَاءِ الْبَيْتِ حِينَ بَنَوْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she submitted to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! All your other wives have entered the House of Allah except me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Send a message to Sheiba, he will open the door of the House of Allah for you." So she sent a message to Sheiba, but Sheiba replied, "Even in the time of ignorance, we did not dare to open it at night, nor in Islam." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Pray in the Hatim, because your people left it outside the House of Allah when they rebuilt the Kaaba."
Hadith 24385
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي يُونُسَ مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، تُدْرِكُنِي الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَأَنَا تُدْرِكُنِي الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ ، وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ ، فَأَغْتَسِلُ ، ثُمَّ أَصُومُ " ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ : إِنَّا لَسْنَا مِثْلَكَ ، فَقَدْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَخْشَاكُمْ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَأَعْلَمَكُمْ بِمَا أَتَّقِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! If the time for prayer comes, and I am required to perform ghusl, and I also want to fast, what should I do?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If such a situation occurs with me, I perform ghusl and then keep the fast." The man said, "We are not like you; Allah Almighty has forgiven all your past and future sins." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became displeased, and signs of anger appeared on his blessed face, and he said, "By Allah, I hope that I am the most God-fearing among you and the most knowledgeable about Him."
Hadith 24386
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اتَّبَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَّبِعُكَ لِأُصِيبَ مَعَكَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّا لَا نَسْتَعِينُ بِمُشْرِكٍ " ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ لَهُ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ : " تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ " ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَانْطَلَقَ فَتَبِعَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man was walking behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said, "I am going to join you in battle." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then we do not take help from any polytheist." He repeated the same thing again, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the same question. This time he replied in the affirmative, and then he set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 24387
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاك ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ ، عَنْ دُرَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي لَهَبٍ ، قَالَتْ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ ، فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " ائْتُونِي بِوَضُوءٍ " ، فَقاَلْتُ : فَابْتَدَرْتُ أَنَا وَعَائِشَةُ الْكُوزَ ، قَالَتْ : فَبَدَرْتُهَا فَأَخَذْتُهُ أَنَا ، فَتَوَضَّأَ فَرَفَعَ طَرْفَهُ أَوْ عَيْنَهُ أَوْ بَصَرَهُ إِلَيَّ ، فَقَالَ : " أَنْتِ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْكِ " ، قَالَتْ : فَأُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا أَنَا فَعَلْتُهُ وَلَكِنْ قِيلَ لِي " ، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ سَأَلَهُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاس ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَفْقَهُهُمْ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَأَوْصَلُهُمْ لِرَحِمِهِ " ، وَذَكَرَ فِيهِ شَرِيكٌ شَيْئَيْنِ آخَرَيْنِ لَمْ أَحْفَظْهُمَا.
Narrated from Hazrat Durrah bint Abi Lahab (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I was with Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and said, "Bring me water for ablution." Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and I both hurried towards a vessel, but I reached it first and brought it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and, raising his gaze, said to me, "You are from me and I am from you." Then a man was brought who said, "I did not do this, but people had told me." He had asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) this question from the pulpit: "Who among the people is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "The one who has the most understanding of Allah's religion and the one who maintains the most ties of kinship."
Hadith 24388
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَالزُّمَرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would fast so continuously that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will keep fasting continuously," and sometimes he would leave off fasting so much that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will keep leaving off fasting continuously." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Bani Isra'il and Surah Az-Zumar every night.
Hadith 24389
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَتَوَضَّأُ بَعْدَ الْغُسْلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not perform ablution after taking a bath.
Hadith 24390
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ لَمِيسَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " كَانَ يَخْلِطُ فِي الْعِشْرِينَ الْأُولَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْمٍ وَصَلَاةٍ ، فَإِذَا دَخَلَتْ الْعَشْرُ جَدَّ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the first twenty days of Ramadan, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would both sleep and pray, but when the last ten days began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would strive hard and tighten his waistcloth.
Hadith 24391
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " فَعَلْنَاهُ مَرَّةً فَاغْتَسَلْنَا " ، يَعْنِي الَّذِي يُجَامِعُ وَلَا يُنْزِلُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once we did so and performed ghusl; the meaning is that if a man has intercourse with his wife and there is no ejaculation (he should still perform ghusl).
Hadith 24392
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسَنْتَ خَلْقِي ، فَأَحْسِنْ خُلُقِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah! Just as You have made my appearance good, make my character good as well."
Hadith 24393
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " عَلَيْكُنَّ بِالْبَيْتِ فَإِنَّهُ جِهَادُكُنَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Adhere to your homes, for your jihad is Hajj."
Hadith 24394
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ ، فَمَنْ آتَيْنَاهُ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا بِطِيبِ نَفْسٍ مِنَّا وَطِيبِ طُعْمَةٍ وَلَا إِشْرَاهٍ مِنْهُ ، بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهِ ، وَمَنْ آتَيْنَاهُ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا بِغَيْرِ طِيبِ نَفْسٍ مِنَّا وَغَيْرِ طِيبِ طُعْمَةٍ وَإِشْرَاهٍ مِنْهُ ، لَمْ يُبَارَكْ لَهُ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This world is lush and sweet, so whoever We give something from it with Our pleasure and good sustenance, in which his patience is included, then blessing is placed in it for him. And whoever We give something from it without Our pleasure and apart from good sustenance, in which his impatience is also included, then blessing is not placed in it for him.
Hadith 24395
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " لَمَّا كَبِرَتْ سَوْدَةُ ، وَهَبَتْ يَوْمَهَا لِي ، فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ لِي بِيَوْمِهَا مَعَ نِسَائِهِ ، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَتْ أَوَّلَ امْرَأَةٍ تَزَوَّجَهَا بَعْدَي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when Hazrat Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her) became old, she gave her day (of turn) to me. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would give me her day (of turn), and she was the first woman whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married after me.
Hadith 24396
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : لَمَّا مَرِضَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَصْحَابُهُ يَعُودُونَهُ ، فَقَامُوا ، فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ اقْعُدُوا ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ : " الْإِمَامُ يُؤْتَمُّ بِهِ ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ ، فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ ، فَارْكَعُوا ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا ، فَصَلُّوا قُعُودًا ، وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا ، فَصَلُّوا قِيَامًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), some people came to visit him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in prayer while sitting, and the people began to pray standing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured to them to sit down, and after finishing the prayer, he said: "The Imam is appointed so that he may be followed. When he bows, you should also bow; when he raises his head, you should also raise your heads; and when he prays sitting, you should also pray sitting."
Hadith 24397
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَيَحْيَى ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَضَعُ رَأْسَهُ فِي حِجْرِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ، فَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that despite my being in menstruation, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to place his head in my lap and recite the Holy Qur'an.
Hadith 24398
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَيَحْيَى ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَدْرُونَ مَنْ السَّابِقُونَ إِلَى ظِلِّ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ " ، قَالُوا : اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَرَسُولُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " الَّذِينَ إِذَا أُعْطُوا الْحَقَّ قَبِلُوهُ ، وَإِذَا سُئِلُوهُ بَذَلُوهُ ، وَحَكَمُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُكْمَهُمْ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know who will be the ones to hasten towards the Throne of Allah on the Day of Resurrection? The people said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are those who, if their right is given to them, accept it; when asked for something, they give it; and they judge for people in the same way as they judge for themselves.
Hadith 24399
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : جَاءَ بِلَالٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَاتَتْ فُلَانَةُ وَاسْتَرَاحَتْ ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يَسْتَرِيحُ مَنْ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " ، قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ : " مَنْ غُفِرَ لَهُ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet’s court and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Such-and-such woman has passed away and she has attained comfort." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied with displeasure, "True comfort is only for the one who enters Paradise."
Hadith 24400
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " مَا أَعْجَبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ، وَلَا أَعْجَبَهُ أَحَدٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا ذُو تُقًى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that nothing of this world and no person except the people of piety was beloved to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 24401
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ مُوسَى : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ " ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَصُومُ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person dies and there are some fasts due upon him, then his guardian should fast on his behalf.
Hadith 24402
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ حَيْوَةُ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ أَنَّهُ عَرَضَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَلَى يَزِيدَ فَعَرَفَهُ ، أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا مَيِّتٍ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ ، فَلْيَصُمْهُ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling if a person dies and there are some fasts due upon him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: His guardian should fast on his behalf.
Hadith 24403
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، وَالْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " مَا أُعْجِبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ ، وَلَا أَعْجَبَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهَا ذُو تُقًى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that nothing of this world and no person except the people of piety was beloved to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 24404
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبِي : فَذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، فَلَا يُؤْذِ جَارَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest.
Hadith 24405
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، قَالَ أَبِي يَذْكُرُهُ عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : أَيْ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي ، إِنِّي ابْتَعْتُ أَنَا وَابْنِي مِنْ فُلَانٍ ثَمَرَ مَالِهِ ، فَأَحْصَيْنَاهُ وَحَشَدْنَاهُ ، لَا وَالَّذِي أَكْرَمَكَ بِمَا أَكْرَمَكَ بِهِ ، مَا أَصَبْنَا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا شَيْئًا نَأْكُلُهُ فِي بُطُونِنَا ، أَوْ نُطْعِمُهُ مِسْكِينًا رَجَاءَ الْبَرَكَةِ ، فَنَقَصْنَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَجِئْنَا نَسْتَوْضِعُهُ مَا نَقَصْنَا ، فَحَلَفَ بِاللَّهِ لَا يَضَعُ لَنَا شَيْئًا ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَأَلَّى لَا أَصْنَعُ خَيْرًا ! " ، ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، قَالَ : فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ صَاحِبَ الثَّمْرِ ، فَجَاءَهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَيْ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي ، إِنْ شِئْتَ وَضَعْتُ مَا نَقَصُوا ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ مِنْ رَأْسِ الْمَالِ مَا شِئْتَ ؟ فَوَضَعَ مَا نَقَصُوا . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنَ الْحَكَمِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "May my father be sacrificed for you, I and my son bought the fruits of a certain man's land. We harvested the crop and separated the fruits, but by the One who honored you, we could only obtain from it what we ourselves could eat or feed to a needy person in hope of blessing. In this way, we suffered a loss. We went to the owner with this request that he compensate us for our loss, but he swore by Allah that he would not compensate us for any loss." Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Did he swear an oath not to do good?" When that man found out, he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you, if you wish, I will compensate them for their loss (and give them more fruit), and if you wish, I will give them money." So, at the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) request, he compensated them for their loss.
Hadith 24406
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، فَقَالَ أَبِي يَذْكُرُهُ عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَمْنَعُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ ، وَلْيَخْرُجْنَ تَفِلَاتٍ " ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَلَوْ رَأَى حَالَهُنَّ الْيَوْمَ ، مَنَعَهُنَّ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from coming to the mosques, and they should come in a simple state. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen the condition of the women of today, he would surely have forbidden them from coming to the mosques.
Hadith 24407
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَبِيعُوا ثِمَارَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا ، وَتَنْجُوَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not sell your fruits until they are fully ripe and safe from calamities.
Hadith 24408
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ البَجَلِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : أَتُقَبِّلُونَ الصِّبْيَانَ ؟ قَالَ : وَاللَّهِ مَا نُقَبِّلُهُمْ ، قَالَ : " لَا أَمْلِكُ أَنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نَزَعَ مِنْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Do you kiss children? By Allah, we do not kiss them." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I cannot help you in this matter if Allah has removed mercy from your heart (so how can I put it in?)."
Hadith 24409
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ سَبْعًا فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى ، وَخَمْسًا فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، سِوَى تَكْبِيرَتَيْ الرُّكُوعِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say seven takbeers in the first rak'ah and five in the second rak'ah during the Eid prayers, apart from the takbeers of bowing (rukoo').
