Hadith 23015
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I had forbidden you from visiting graveyards, now you may go. And I had forbidden you from keeping sacrificial meat for more than three days, now keep it as long as you wish. And I had forbidden you from drinking nabidh in vessels other than water skins, now drink from whichever vessel you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating.

The same was the case with Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him). Once, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me with a detachment whose commander was Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). There we captured some prisoners. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) kept a slave girl for himself from the khums. Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Wait. Then, when we presented ourselves before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I began to narrate the incident and said that Ali has taken a slave girl from the khums. At that time, I had my head lowered. Suddenly, when I raised my head, I saw that the blessed face of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was changing. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever loves me should also love Ali.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed someone as the commander of a detachment or an army and sent him off, he would especially advise him to fear Allah regarding himself and would emphasize treating the Muslims who were with him in the best manner. Then he would say: Fight in the way of Allah in the name of Allah, fight those who disbelieve in Allah. When you meet your enemy, invite them to accept one of three things. Whichever of these they accept, accept it from them and refrain from fighting them. First, invite them to Islam. If they accept, then accept it from them. Then invite them to migrate from their land to the abode of the emigrants, and inform them that if they do so, they will have the same rights and duties as the emigrants. If they refuse and prefer to remain in their own land, then inform them that they will be considered like the Bedouin Muslims; Allah’s commands will apply to them as they apply to all Muslims, but they will not have any share in the spoils of war unless they fight alongside the Muslims. If they refuse this, then invite them to pay the jizya. If they accept, then accept it from them and refrain from fighting them. But if they refuse even this, then seek Allah’s help and fight them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we laid siege to Khaybar. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) took the flag, but he returned without conquering the specific and important fort. The next day, he again took the flag and set out, but even today the fort could not be conquered, and on that day, the people faced much hardship and difficulty. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Tomorrow I will give this flag to a person whom Allah and His Messenger love, and he loves Allah and His Messenger, and he will not return without achieving victory." So, all night we remained happy at the thought that tomorrow this fort would also be conquered. When morning came, after the Fajr prayer, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and called for the flag. The people were sitting in their rows. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who was suffering from an eye ailment. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) applied his saliva to his eyes and handed the flag over to him, and through his hands, the fort was conquered, although I too was among those who desired it. When Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) confronted the people of Khaybar, Marhab came before him reciting boastful verses: "All of Khaybar knows that I am Marhab, armed, brave, and experienced; sometimes I fight with a spear and sometimes with a sword, when lions come roaring before me." Then Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) faced him, and Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) struck such a blow on his skull that his sword passed through his jaw, and the army heard the sound of Hazrat Ali's (may Allah be pleased with him) strike. Eventually, victory was granted to them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque and took hold of my hand. I also entered the mosque with him. There was a man reciting the Qur'an and performing prayer. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This person has been given one of the beautiful tones of the family of Dawood (peace be upon him)." When I looked, it was Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him). I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I inform him of this?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Inform him." So I informed him, and he said, "You have always been my friend."
Hadith 23034
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man wearing a gold ring on his hand, so he said to him, "Why are you wearing the adornment of the people of Paradise in this world?" The next time he came, he was wearing a brass ring. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I smell the scent of idol-worshippers from you." He asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Then from what should I make a ring?" He replied, "From silver."
Hadith 23035
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a proposal of marriage to Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that it is necessary to have a wedding feast (walimah). Hazrat Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I am responsible for one ram," and another said, "I am responsible for as much as I have."

In the morning, water was dripping from Hazrat Ali's (may Allah be pleased with him) head. Hazrat Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Buraidah, "Do you see what Ali has done?" I also had resentment towards Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you harbor hatred against Ali?" I replied, "Yes." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not hate him; rather, if you love him, then increase your love for him, for by the One in whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the share of Ali's family in the khums is better than even 'Waseefah'."

The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who has the strength to do this?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The way to do this is that if you see spit in the mosque, cover it with earth; remove something harmful from the path; and if you cannot do all this, then two rak'ahs at the time of Duha will suffice on your behalf.

We halted at a place, and at that time we were about a thousand horsemen. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed two rak‘ahs and then turned towards us; his eyes were filled with tears. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and, sacrificing his parents for him, asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the matter?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I asked my Lord for permission to pray for forgiveness for my mother, but I was not granted permission, so out of compassion my eyes filled with tears. And I had forbidden you from three things: from visiting graveyards, but now you may go, so that you may remember the Hereafter; I had forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrifice after three days, but now eat it and keep it as long as you wish; and I had forbidden you from drinking from specific vessels, but now drink from whichever vessel you wish, but do not drink anything intoxicating."

Then I reached in front of a lofty palace made of gold and asked the people, 'Whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to an Arab man.' I said, 'I am also an Arab, whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to a Muslim man from the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).' I said, 'I am myself Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It is Umar bin Khattab's.' The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Umar! If I had not considered your sense of honor, I would have surely entered that palace.' He (Umar) submitted, 'O Messenger of Allah! Would I ever show honor in front of you?' Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), 'How did you precede me in Paradise?' He replied, 'Whenever I became impure (lost ablution), I would perform ablution and offer two rak'ahs (units of prayer).'
