It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was present in the gathering of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Learn Surah Al-Baqarah, for acquiring it is a blessing and leaving it is a cause of regret, and the wrongdoers cannot withstand it. Then after remaining silent for a while, he said: Learn both Surah Al-Baqarah and Aal-e-Imran, for these two radiant Surahs will provide shade to their reciters on the Day of Resurrection in the form of clouds, canopies, or two flocks of birds, and they will argue on behalf of their reciters.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, when a person's grave will be split open, the Qur'an will meet its reciter in the form of a lean man and will say to him: I am your companion, the Qur'an, who kept you thirsty in the intense heat of the afternoons and kept you awake at night.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The sanctity of the women of the Mujahideen is like that of their mothers for those who stay behind waiting for Jihad. If any person among those who stay behind becomes responsible for the family of a Mujahid and then betrays that trust, he will be made to stand before that Mujahid on the Day of Resurrection, and the Mujahid will take from his deeds whatever he wishes. Now what do you think?

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, appointed someone as the commander of a detachment or an army, he would especially advise him to fear Allah regarding himself and would emphasize that he treat the Muslims who were with him in the best manner. Then he would say: Fight in the name of Allah, in the way of Allah, and fight those who disbelieve in Allah. When you meet your enemy from among the polytheists, invite them to three things. If they accept any one of them, accept it from them and refrain from fighting them. First, invite them to Islam. If they accept, then accept it from them. Then invite them to migrate from their land to the land of the Muhajireen, and inform them that if they do so, they will have the same rights and responsibilities as the Muhajireen. If they refuse and prefer to remain in their own land, then inform them that they will be considered like the Bedouin Muslims; the commands of Allah will apply to them as they apply to all Muslims, but they will not have any share in the spoils of war unless they participate in jihad with the Muslims. If they refuse this, then invite them to pay the jizya. If they accept, then accept it from them and refrain from fighting them. But if they refuse even this, then seek help from Allah and fight them.
Hadith 22979
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever plays with dice, it is as if he has dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig.
Hadith 22980
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is not one of us who swears an oath upon a trust, and whoever incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master, then he is not one of us.
Hadith 22981
It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Negus, the king of Abyssinia, presented two plain black socks as a gift to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we laid siege to Khaybar, so Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) took the flag, but he returned without conquering the specific and important fort. The next day, he took the flag again and set out, but even today the fort could not be conquered, and on that day, people faced much hardship and difficulty. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Tomorrow I will give this flag to a person whom Allah and His Messenger love, and he loves Allah and His Messenger, and he will not return without achieving victory." So, all night we remained happy at the thought that tomorrow this fort would also be conquered. When morning came, after the Fajr prayer, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and called for the flag. People were sitting in their rows. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), who was suffering from an eye ailment. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) applied his saliva to his eyes and handed the flag over to him, and through his hands, the fort was conquered, although I too was among those who desired it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him, "Bilal! How did you get ahead of me in Paradise? Whenever I entered Paradise, I heard your footsteps ahead of me. Just last night, when I entered Paradise, I again heard your footsteps. Then I reached in front of a lofty palace made of gold and asked the people, 'Whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to an Arab man.' I said, 'I am also an Arab, whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to a Muslim man from the Ummah of Muhammad.' I said, 'I am Muhammad myself (peace and blessings be upon him), whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It is Umar bin Khattab's.' The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Umar! If I had not considered your sense of honor, I would have surely entered that palace.' He (Umar) submitted, 'O Messenger of Allah! Would I ever show honor in front of you?' Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), 'How did you get ahead of me in Paradise?' He replied, 'Whenever I became impure (lost ablution), I would perform ablution and offer two rak'ahs (units of prayer).' The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'That is the reason for it.'

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Hazrat Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Madinah Munawwarah, he brought a platter of fresh dates to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed it before him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Salman! What is this?" He replied, "It is charity for you and your companions." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take it away, we do not eat charity." He took it away, and the next day brought dates in the same manner and placed them before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (the same question and answer took place, and he came again on the third day). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Salman! What is this?" He replied, "This is a gift for you." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) included his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in it as well. Then he (Salman) saw the Seal of Prophethood on the blessed back of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accepted faith. Since he was a slave of a Jew, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought him for a certain amount of dirhams and on the condition that the Muslims would plant a garden and work in it until it bore fruit. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) planted the saplings in that garden with his own blessed hands, except for one sapling which Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had planted, and in the same year all the trees bore fruit except for that one tree. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What is the matter with this one?" Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I planted it." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) uprooted it and planted it himself, and it too bore fruit in the same year.

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent two detachments towards Yemen. He appointed Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of one and Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) as the commander of the other, and said: "When you are together, Ali will be the commander of all, and when you are separate, each will be the commander of his own detachment." So, we encountered Banu Zaid from among the people of Yemen. We fought them, and the Muslims prevailed over the polytheists. We killed the fighters and captured the children. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) selected one of the captive women for himself. Seeing this, Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informing him of this, and sent it with me. I presented myself in the presence of the Prophet and handed over the letter. The letter was read out to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw signs of anger on the radiant face of the Prophet. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I seek refuge in Allah. You sent me with a man and ordered me to obey him. I have acted upon that command." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not fall into any misunderstanding regarding Ali. He is from me and I am from him, and after me, he is your beloved." (He said this sentence twice.)

It is narrated from Hazrat Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, in the morning and evening, says: "O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity except You, You created me, I am Your servant, and as much as possible I remain firm on the covenant and promise made to You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my sins. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me and I confess my sins. So forgive my sins, for none forgives sins except You," and if he dies that day or night, he will enter Paradise.
