Hadith 21986
It is narrated from Hazrat Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that after returning from Yemen, he submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! I saw the Christians prostrating before their priests and religious leaders. It occurred to my heart that you are more deserving of such reverence, so should we not prostrate to you?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If I were to command anyone to prostrate before another, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate before her husband."

Abu Idris says that once I attended a gathering in which twenty companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were present. Among them was a young and youthful companion whose complexion was radiant, with large black eyes and shining teeth. Whenever there was any disagreement among the people and he spoke, they would accept his word as final. Later, I found out that he was Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him). The next day, I came again and found him praying behind a pillar. He shortened his prayer, sat cross-legged, and remained silent. I approached and said, "By Allah! I love you for the sake of Allah's majesty." He made me swear and asked, "Really?" I also swore and replied. He then said, "Those who love each other for Allah's sake will be under the shade of Allah's Throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His. (After this, there is no doubt in the rest of the hadith.) For them, chairs of light will be set up, and due to their nearness to the Lord of the worlds, even the Prophets (peace be upon them), the truthful, and the martyrs will envy them." Later, I narrated this hadith to Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "I will narrate to you only that hadith which I myself heard from the tongue of the Prophet, and it is this: 'My love is assured for those who love each other for My sake; My love is assured for those who meet each other for My sake; My love is assured for those who spend on each other for My sake; and My love is assured for those who join with each other for My sake.'"

And whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, and then dies a natural death, he will receive the reward of a martyr. And whoever is wounded or suffers any harm in the way of Allah, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with that wound flowing even more, but its color will be like saffron and its fragrance like musk. ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. During the journey, one day I had the privilege of being close to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me of an action that will admit me to Paradise and keep me away from Hell." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have asked about a great matter, but it is easy for the one for whom Allah makes it easy: Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, fast in the month of Ramadan, and perform Hajj to the House of Allah." Then he said, "Shall I not tell you the doors of goodness? Fasting is a shield, charity extinguishes sins, and a man's prayer in the middle of the night is among the doors of goodness." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse from Surah Sajda: 'Their sides forsake their beds...' until he reached 'they do.' Then he said, "Shall I not tell you about the foundation of the religion, its pillar, and its highest peak?" I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Certainly." He said, "The foundation of this religion is Islam, its pillar is prayer, and its highest peak is jihad." Then he said, "Shall I not tell you the summary of all these things?" I submitted, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah!" So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held his tongue and said, "Restrain this." I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Will we be held accountable for what we say?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (gently admonishing) said, "Mu'adh! May your mother lose you! Is there anything that topples people on their faces into Hell except the harvest of their tongues regarding others?"

It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was supplicating, "O Allah! I ask You for patience." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are asking Allah for calamity; rather, ask Allah for well-being." (Then he passed by another man who was supplicating by saying, "Ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram," and he said to him, "Your supplication will be accepted, so ask.") He passed by another man who was supplicating, "O Allah! I ask You for all blessings." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O son of Adam! Do you know what is meant by 'all blessings'?" He replied, "I hope for the good of the supplication I made." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "All blessings mean that a person is saved from Hell and admitted into Paradise."

Amr bin Maymoon Awdi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when the messenger of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), came to us in Yemen, it was the time of suhoor (pre-dawn meal). He was proclaiming the takbeer in a loud and awe-inspiring voice. Love for him became deeply rooted in my heart, so I did not separate from him until, after his death in Shaam (Syria), I had thrown earth upon his grave. May Allah’s mercy descend upon him. Then, after him, I looked for the most knowledgeable person and presented myself to Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to me, “What will you do when such rulers come over you who delay the prayer from its proper time?” I said, “If I reach that time, what do you command me to do?” He said, “Perform your prayer at its appointed time, and join the rulers in prayer with the intention of nafl (supererogatory) prayer.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would camp at any place, his Muhajir Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would be close to him. Once, we camped at a place and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer at night while we were sleeping around. Suddenly, Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) and I woke up at night and did not find the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his sleeping place. We set out in search of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we heard a sound like that produced by a millstone, and we stopped in our tracks. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was coming from the direction of that sound. When he came near, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What happened to you?" We replied, "When we woke up and did not find you in your place, we feared that some harm might have come to you, so we set out to search for you." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A messenger from my Lord came to me and gave me the choice between two things: that half of my Ummah would enter Paradise, or that I would be granted the right of intercession. So I preferred the aspect of intercession." Both of us said, "O Messenger of Allah! We ask you, by Islam and the right of your companionship, to pray to Allah that He includes us in your intercession." Other people also arrived and began to make the same request, and their number increased. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Every person who dies in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Allah will be included in my intercession."
