Then he sat down, and after a while, he gave the iqamah, and in that too, he repeated the words twice each." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have seen a very good dream. Teach these words to Bilal." Abu Idris says that once I entered the central mosque of Damascus, where there was a young and youthful companion. His complexion was radiant, his eyes were large and black, and his teeth were shining. Whenever there was a disagreement among the people and he spoke, they would accept his word as final. Later, I found out that he was Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him). The next day, I came again and found him praying behind a pillar. He shortened his prayer, sat down quietly, and tucked up his knees. I went forward and said, "By Allah! I love you for the sake of Allah's majesty." He asked me by oath, "Really?" I also swore and replied. He took hold of the edge of my cloak, pulled me towards himself, and said, "Rejoice! For I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say that Allah Almighty says: 'My love is assured for those who love each other for My sake, who sit together for My sake, who meet each other for My sake, and who spend on each other for My sake.'"

" اصْنَعُوا كَمَا صَنَعَ مُعَاذٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the early blessed period of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), it was customary that if a person missed some rak'ahs, he would ask the worshippers, and they would indicate to him by gesture how many rak'ahs he had missed. Accordingly, he would first perform the rak'ahs he had missed and then join the congregation in prayer. One day, Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) came late to the prayer; the people were in the sitting position (qa'dah) at that time, so he also sat down. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, Hazrat Mu'adh stood up and completed the part of the prayer he had missed. Seeing this, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people: "You should do as Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) has done."
Hadith 22034
Kathirah bin Murrah says that during his illness of death, Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said to us: I have heard a hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which I have kept hidden from you until now (but I am narrating it now). I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever's last words at the time of departing from this world are "La ilaha illallah" (There is no god but Allah), Paradise becomes obligatory for him.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) will be in Paradise, and I would not even like to have red camels in exchange for this (certainty). And before I tell you the reason for my statement, you people are dispersing. Then he narrated the dream which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw regarding Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and said that the dream of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is true. (The Noble Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] said: Once, in a dream, I was inside Paradise and I saw a palace there. I asked the people, "Whose is this?" They replied, "This belongs to Umar bin Khattab [may Allah be pleased with him].")

Abu Idris says that once I attended a gathering in which twenty companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were present. Among them was a young and youthful companion, whose complexion was radiant, with large black eyes and shining teeth. Whenever there was any disagreement among the people and he spoke, they would accept his word as final. Later, I found out that he was Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him). The next day, I came again and found him praying behind a pillar. He shortened his prayer, sat cross-legged, and remained silent. I approached and said, "By Allah! I love you for the sake of Allah's majesty." He made me swear and asked, "Really?" I also swore and replied. He then said, "Those who love each other for Allah's sake will be under the shade of Allah's Throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His. (After this, there is no doubt in the rest of the hadith.) For them, chairs of light will be set up, and due to their nearness to the Lord of the worlds, even the Prophets (peace be upon them), the truthful, and the martyrs will envy them." Later, I narrated this hadith to Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said, "I will narrate to you only that hadith which I myself heard from the tongue of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and it is this: 'My love is assured for those who love each other for My sake; My love is assured for those who meet each other for My sake; My love is assured for those who spend on each other for My sake; and those who love each other for Allah's sake will be seated on pulpits of light under the shade of the Throne, when there will be no shade except its shade.'"
