Hadith 19855
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no basis in taking the best animals in zakat, or in evading the payment of zakat through tricks and excuses, or in injuring animals with spears.

It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Muslim woman was captured by the enemy. Previously, those people had also stolen the camel of the Prophet (peace be upon him). One day, when the woman saw the people were heedless, she quietly mounted the camel of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and made a vow that if she reached Madinah safely, she would slaughter this camel. In any case, she reached Madinah Munawwarah and wanted to slaughter the camel of the Prophet (peace be upon him), but the people stopped her from doing so and mentioned it to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "You have given it a bad reward." Then he said, "There is no vow in that which the son of Adam does not own, nor is there a vow in disobedience to Allah."
Hadith 19857
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would always encourage giving charity in his addresses and would forbid mutilation. Remember! Mutilation also includes that a person vows to cut off someone's nose, and also that a person vows to perform Hajj on foot. Such a person should take a sacrificial animal along and ride on it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman from the tribe of Juhaina confessed to adultery before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that she was pregnant. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called her guardian and said to him: Treat her well, and when she gives birth to the child, inform me. He did so. Then, on the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the woman's body was wrapped well in clothes, and on the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she was stoned to death. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered her funeral prayer. Seeing this, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! You stoned her and are also offering her funeral prayer? And have you seen anything superior to this, that she sacrificed her life for Allah?

It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the she-camel named Adhba actually belonged to a man from Banu Aqil and was a mount for the pilgrims. That man was captured and his she-camel was also seized. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him while he was tied with ropes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding a donkey and had a sheet wrapped around him. The man said, "O Muhammad! (peace and blessings be upon him) Will you also capture me and the mount of the pilgrims?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "We have captured you because of the audacity of your allies, Banu Thaqif, for Banu Thaqif had imprisoned two companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Anyway, during the conversation, the man said, "I am a Muslim." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If you had said this at a time when you had full control over yourself, you would have attained complete success." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved on, and the man said, "O Muhammad! (peace and blessings be upon him) I am hungry, feed me; I am thirsty, give me water." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is your need (which we will fulfill)." Then, in exchange for the ransom of those two companions, this man was given and Adhba was kept for the Prophet's own mount. Not long after, the polytheists raided the pasture of Madinah and took away the animals from there, among which was Adhba. They also captured a Muslim woman. One day, when the woman saw the people were heedless, she quietly mounted the Prophet's she-camel and made a vow that if she reached Madinah safely, she would slaughter this she-camel. Anyway, she reached Madinah and wanted to slaughter the Prophet's she-camel, but the people forbade her from doing so and mentioned it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have given it a bad reward." Then he said, "The son of Adam cannot make a vow regarding something he does not own, nor is a vow valid in disobedience to Allah."

Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled, he performed two rak'ahs until his return, and on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah for eighteen days but continued to lead the people in two rak'ahs." Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the previous hadith from Yunus bin Muhammad with this addition: "However, he did not shorten the Maghrib prayer, then he would say, 'O people of Makkah! You stand up and complete the remaining two rak'ahs yourselves because we are travelers.' After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went for the expeditions of Hunayn and Ta'if and continued to perform two rak'ahs, then went to Ji'ranah and in the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah assumed the ihram for 'Umrah (and did the same). Then I participated in the expeditions, Hajj, and 'Umrah journeys with Hazrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also performed two rak'ahs. Then I also prayed in the same way with Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) in the early period of his caliphate, but later Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) started performing four rak'ahs."

Abu Nadrah says that once Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by our gathering, so a young man stood up and asked him about the travel prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He turned towards our gathering and said, "This young man is asking me about the travel prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so you all should also remember it well. Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) undertook a journey, he performed only two rak'ahs until his return. Even during Hajj, until his return, and on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Makkah for eighteen days but continued to lead the people in two rak'ahs only. Then he would say, 'O people of Makkah! You should stand up and complete the remaining two rak'ahs yourselves because we are travelers.' I performed 'Umrah with him three times, and in those as well, he performed two rak'ahs."

Hearing this, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) began to weep. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Draw near and remain steadfast on the right path. Among all the nations, you will be like a mark on a piece of cloth, but even then I hope that you will be one fourth of the people of Paradise; rather, I hope that you will be one third of the people of Paradise.

Mutarrif says that once Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "Mutarrif! By Allah! I think that if I wish, I can narrate to you the sayings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continuously for two days, and not a single narration among them would be repeated. Then I refrain from this because some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)—among whom I too used to be present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and I too used to listen as they did—narrate such sayings which are not as they say. I know that they do not fall short in conveying the truth as they understand it. I fear that I too may become doubtful like them. Therefore, Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) would sometimes say in this way: 'If I narrate this hadith to you that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say this,' then I think I am telling the truth. And sometimes, with certainty, he would say: 'I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say this.'"

(peace and blessings be upon him) Will you also capture me and the pilgrims’ mount?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "We have captured you because of the audacity of your allies, Banu Thaqif, for Banu Thaqif had imprisoned two companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Anyway, during the conversation, the man said, "I am a Muslim." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If you had said this at a time when you had full control over yourself, you would have attained complete success." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved on, and the man said, "O Muhammad! (peace and blessings be upon him) I am hungry, feed me; I am thirsty, give me water." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is your need (which we will fulfill)." Then, in exchange for the ransom of those two companions, this man was given and Adhba was kept for the Prophet’s own mount. Not long after, the polytheists raided the pasture of Madinah and took away the animals there, among which was Adhba as well. They also captured a Muslim woman. One day, when the woman saw the people were heedless, she quietly mounted the Prophet’s she-camel and made a vow that if she reached Madinah safely, she would slaughter this she-camel. Anyway, she reached Madinah and wanted to slaughter the Prophet’s she-camel, but the people stopped her and mentioned it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have given it a bad reward." Then he said, "The son of Adam cannot make a vow regarding something he does not own, nor is there a vow in disobedience to Allah."
