(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ : " أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِأَحَبِّكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَقْرَبِكُمْ مِنِّي مَجْلِسًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ " ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُهَا ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : بَلَى ، يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " أَحْسَنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said three times in a gathering: "Shall I not tell you who among you will be the most beloved to me in my sight and the closest to me in assembly on the Day of Resurrection?" We said, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah!" The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one among you who has the best character."
