Hadith 387

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عُمَرُ : أَنَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فِي السَّفَرِ " .
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I myself saw with my own eyes the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over his leather socks while traveling.
