Hadith 333

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ الْحَدَثَانِ ، قَالَ : أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ عُمَرُ . . . فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، فَقُلْتُ لَكُمَا : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا نُورَثُ ، مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ " .
Malik bin Aws narrates that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) once called me, then he mentioned the complete hadith, in which Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Inheritance is not established in our wealth; whatever we leave behind is charity."
