Hadith 321

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حِطَّانَ فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ حَرْبٌ : أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ لَبُوسِ الْحَرِيرِ ، فَقَالَ : سَلْ عَنْهُ عَائِشَةَ ، فَسَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ : سَلْ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، فَسَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَفْصٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، فَلَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ " .
Imran bin Hattan asked Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about silk clothing. He said, "Ask Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) for the answer." Imran asked Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she said, "Ask Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)." He asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), so Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from his respected father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wears silk in this world will have no share in the Hereafter."
