حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ : لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي " . قَالَ وَكِيعٌ : الْغَثَيَانُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should say, "My soul has become impure," but he may say, "My heart has become hardened."
