حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ مُوسى بْنِ سَرْجِسٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَمُوتُ وَعِنْدَهُ قَدَحٌ فِيهِ مَاءٌ ، يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِي الْقَدَحِ ، وَيَمْسَحُ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى سَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that at the time of agony, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that a bowl of water was placed near him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept putting his hand into that bowl and kept wiping it over his face, and kept supplicating: "O Allah! Help me in the agonies of death."
