حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا
عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ :
" إِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ أَنْتَظِرُ مَنْ يَرِدُهُ عَلَيَّ مِنْكُمْ ، فَلَيُقَطَّعَنَّ رِجَالٌ دُونِي ، فَلَأَقُولَنَّ : يَا رَبِّ ، أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي ، فَلَيُقَالَنَّ لِي : إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا عَمِلُوا بَعْدَكَ ، مَا زَالُوا يَرْجِعُونَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: I will wait for those among you who will come to me at the Pond of Kawthar. Some people will be prevented from coming to me. I will say, "O Lord! These are my followers." It will be said to me, "You do not know what deeds they did after you; they kept turning back on their heels continuously."
