حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا السُّدِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَهِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالَ لِلْجَارِيَةِ : " نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ " ، قَالَتْ : أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْسُطَهَا ، فَيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا ، قَالَتْ : إِنَّهَا حَائِضٌ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّ حَيْضَهَا لَيْسَ فِي يَدِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in the mosque when he said to a slave girl, "Hand me the mat." The Prophet (peace be upon him) wanted to spread it and pray on it. She informed him that she was in her menstrual period. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Her 'period' has not affected her hand."
