حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا ، وَأَبَا مُوسَى إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَأَمَرَهُمَا أَنْ يُعَلِّمَا النَّاسَ الْقُرْآنَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen and instructed them to teach the people the Qur'an.
