It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter the blessed house of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, a slave girl was playing the duff. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) was granted permission and entered. Then Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, sought permission, and entered. Then Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came and sought permission, so she became silent. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Uthman is a very modest man."
