Hadith 18185

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Zuhr prayer with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) during the midday heat. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) once said to us: "Perform the prayer at a cooler time, for the severity of heat is from the effect of Hell."
