Hadith 17427

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَسْتَجْمِرْ وِتْرًا ، وَإِذَا اكْتَحَلَ أَحدُكم ، فَلْيَكْتَحِلْ وِتْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you applies incense, let him do so an odd number of times, and when he applies kohl, let him also do so an odd number of times.
