Hadith 17383

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَأَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ ، هُنَّ عِيدُنَا أَهْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَهُنَّ أَيَّامُ أَكَلٍ وَشُرْبٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Day of Arafah, the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah (the day of sacrifice), and the days of Tashreeq are the days of Eid for us Muslims, and they are days of eating and drinking.
