Hadith 17331

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ سَتَرَ مُؤْمِنًا ، كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا مَوْءُودَةً مِنْ قَبْرِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, it is as if he has given new life to a girl who was buried alive.
