Hadith 17326

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخِفَافُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَ أَنَّ قَيْسًا الْجُذَامِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً ، فَهِيَ فِكَاكُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will become a means of freedom from Hell for him.
