حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّازِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَأْ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، فَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Recite the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, for these two verses have been given to me from beneath the Throne.
