Abdul Wahid bin Nafi’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was passing by a mosque near Madinah Munawwarah when I saw that the iqamah for prayer was being called, and an elder was reproaching the muezzin, saying, “Do you not know that my father told me this hadith: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order this prayer to be delayed?” I asked the people, “Who is this elder?” They told me, “This is Abdullah bin Rafi’ bin Khudayj (may Allah be pleased with him).”
