حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ الْمُسَبِّحَاتِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ " ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّ فِيهِنَّ آيَةً أَفْضَلُ مِنْ أَلْفِ آيَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Irbad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the Surahs beginning with the word «سبحِ» before sleeping, and he used to say that there is one verse among them which is better than a thousand verses.
