حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، قَالَ فِيهِ : " وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّمَادُحَ فَإِنَّهُ الذَّبْحُ " .
The previous hadith is also narrated from Yaqub (and in it, instead of «مدح», the word «تمادح» is used, the meaning of both is the same, that is) avoid praising someone to his face because it is like slaughtering that person.
