حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, flog him again, until if he drinks a fourth time, then kill him."
