Hadith 15131

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ , عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ , قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ , وَثِيَابٌ لَهُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ , أَوِ الْمِشْجَبِ , " فَقَامَ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِثَوْبِهِ , ثُمَّ صَلَّى " , ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى هَكَذَا .
Asim bin Ubaidullah says that once I went to Syedna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). When the time for prayer came, he wrapped himself in a single garment and performed the prayer, even though other clothes were lying nearby on the bed. When he finished the prayer with salam, he said: I have also seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying in this manner.
